KING'S SALAMI

How many flights our grandmothers have prepared it on Sundays or feast days! It was the dessert symbol of our childhood, of those of which we remember well the scent and flavor (for this dessert we made the Cocoa and coffee cream, because it did justice to the original!).
Our grandmothers did it almost with their eyes closed, they rolled it up with a mastery and simplicity still distant from us, but the final result is still satisfactory, because the appearance and taste are really very similar!
This dessert seems to date back to 1700, when it was a dessert only for noble families, because very rich, but later became the dessert of important occasions, such as ceremonies and weddings, of which even Pellegrino Artusi wrote a recipe.
