  • Condensed milk is a type of milk made storable thanks to the subtraction of moisture.
    It seems to have been invented by a French pastry chef, who produced an unsweetened evaporated milk.
    Today the product available on the market is generally sweetened, especially because sugar allows a better and longer storage.
    Very useful for making spoon desserts, such as mousse, ice cream, cheesecake, and in general all creamy desserts; in some countries it is also used to garnish leavened cakes, or simply spread on toast instead of creams and jams.

    Having no ice cream maker, condensed milk is served to make our ice cream creamer, denser and more stable!
    How to store? Closed in a glass jar in the refrigerator for a week, or in the freezer for three months.
