  • How to play . While playing out solo this is a good way to play- almost cut my hair. A crowd pleaser by David Crosby. I play by ear so I don’t read music or know what a tab is.

      Thanks for checking out the Lesson ! I play by ear only so I do know strings and frets. My version of the intro on the original recorded version is
      Single notes
      10th fret B - 8th fret B - 10th fret B - 8th fret E - 9th fret G - 7th fret G - 5th fret D - 7th fret D
      5th fret G - 9th fret G - 8th fret B - 10th fret B - 8th fret E - 10th fret E - 8th fret E
      Then it’s two strings together
      10Th E with 8th B
      8th E with 8th B
      10th E with 8th B
      8th E with 8th B
      Back to single notes
      10th fret B - 8th fret B - 9th fret G - 7th fret G - 5Th fret D - 7th fret D - 5th fret G - 7th fret G -
      9th fret G - 8th fret B - 8fret E - 8th fret B - 10 fret B

      @@SoloGuitarist oh i'm sure about this thanks for encouraging ! I picked up the guitar 2 Months ago during quarantine and i'm now able to strum a few chords pretty decently but i don't feel like ever stopping praticing and learning new stuff as what you played is so inspiring ! dont know how much time it'll take me to be able to do this but i'm not scared of practicing for years. Just kinda scared of hitting a certain point where i just can't progress anymore, keeps me up at night haha ! by the way super nice singing

    I'm trying really hard to write this intro down but the it's difficult. Can someone help me? Fret and string: I have these: 10B, 8B, 10B, 8E, 9G, 7G, 5D, 7D, 9G, 7G, 10B, 9B, 10B AND 10B, 8B, 9B and that's when I lose it.

    • @SoloGuitarist
      @SoloGuitarist  3 года назад +1

      This is how I do the original intro.
      10th fret B - 8th fret B - 10th fret B - 8th fret E - 9th fret G - 7th fret G - 5th fret D - 7th fret D
      5th fret G - 9th fret G - 8th fret B - 10th fret B - 8th fret E - 10th fret E - 8th fret E
      Then it’s two strings together
      10Th E with 8th B
      8th E with 8th B
      10th E with 8th B
      8th E with 8th B
      Back to single notes
      10th fret B - 8th fret B - 9th fret G - 7th fret G - 5Th fret D - 7th fret D - 5th fret G - 7th fret G -
      9th fret G - 8th fret B - 8fret E - 8th fret B - 10 fret B

    You left out the most important lyric: I will now proceed to entangle the entire area... 😉

    • @SoloGuitarist
      @SoloGuitarist  4 года назад +2

      I heard it threw the grapevine that the opening comment on this song, ("I will now proceed to entangle the entire area") was actually edited onto this song and was actually spoken prior to cutting a song called "Horses in the Rainstorm". You can find the original track on the two-CD Anthology, "Carry On". 🙂
