This was so much fun! Cant wait to do it again 😜
That’s what she said
@@rydernash7376 not to me😓
Please teach him how to shift. He desperately needs to be taught how to drive. He doesn't understand how power works in a motor and how to keep it under a load... He's just high reving for no reason and doesn't shift into the next gear. For god sakes, please teach the man. lol
I thought you said, “I’d rather be welding”
I bet u are so pumped to find a place to really play with yoir toys
Hey Chris, that has to be one of the most awesome offroad builds online. Must be cool to be able to build a buggy that's exactly to your own spec. Congrats on the channel, been a long time follower of your. Stay well, keep living the dream mate.
Ad from Oz. 🇦🇺🙃👎
It's possible the reason you're jumping out of second is due to your linkage when you hit heavy bumps the weight of your linkage could be pulling it out of gear I would start there
I agree with you 100%. I thought that the last transmission, looked like it could have been shifted with a push pull cable shift setup. I would see if the "new" trans could use that type. Or do what I have to do with my Kimball J98 Hauler, that pops out of 3rd gear. I made a little holder thing, that holds the shifter and locks in place. It has to be unlatched to take it out of gear. That little band-aid, temporary fix, is going on a to a 13 year fix for me. If you don't know what a Kimball J98 Hauler is. It's worth a Google look up. Mine is rolling on 35's and has a modified 23 hp Briggs and Stratton instead of the 16hp. I call it "Lil Tipsy".
Yeah.. He should design an "H" cut out with hooks in it, that will lock it into gear, since he never shifts there anyway, and it's more of a transfer case style.
@@terryj257 you have that thing running 35" tires? Wow that's awesome! I have never seen one until now they look like a little jeep, ver very cool.
Damn!.. i want a buggy like that!!! 😢🚗💨
Hell yeah, you're getting braver! This is why you build them... to rip!
This was the best video of every off road video on RUclips. Knowing where this build was done and seeing it runnong that fast on track was a pure blast for me!
you built an awsome rig ! wow! and all by yourself in your shed. much respect. I'm looking forward to the trike build soon.
Criss according to me this is the first time ur like full sending up any of ur build yet.. but still man enjoyed alot watching it .. and man that's a great build..
I watched you build this thing in your free time. Too hear the thrill in your voice an laughter was a good while coming. Sweet machine 😎👍
That build is a beast! Your driving is getting better. That smile says it all.
It seems like the perfect track for your builds. Honestly the nicest track I have ever seen. That buggy has proven the extra gears are worth the weight in my opinion. Awesome vid.
That machine you built and that place are perfect for each other. The more I see that thing moving, the more impressed I am.
Popping out of gear 2 main causes, bent fork or just worn fork and slider. If there's any slop it allows for momentum of movement, let's the gear wiggle
That was awesome to watch! Great camera work!!!
So glad you decided to make the trip! Best shake-down possible!
Props man!
Super sick seeing that beast ripping it up.
Congrats on getting a chance to really run it.
That thing is EVIL!!! Kudos on one HELL of a build, Chris!! I can't wait to see what you build next
Looks like a lot of fun for sure...
It was great with beautiful images, it felt like an all-terrain racing video game, I love it! Impressive your two cars...
Looks like you're getting the hang of driving that thing. Well done, looks like a blast !!
WHOA!!! This looks like so much FUN!!!
I had to sub to both you guys this was so fun to watch 👍
That was awesome! Looks like great fun.
Can't watch enough of this buggy, friggin' amazing! Chris you're a heck of a fabricator and it's cool to see you enjoy the fruits of your labor. Keep up the good work and thanks for all the great content. Looking forward to seeing the mini crotch rocket in action!
Bro that sounds so wicked . Love it.
those shocks and suspension, are absolutely amazing. just watching the deflection, and how much bumps they absorb, looks like you got it set up pretty good.
Glad to see you having a quality good time in your bad ass super buggy!
This was awesome, finally a place where your builds can stretch the legs.
Now this is a proper trail parc. Well(d) done Chris! 👍😁👍😁
Great video Chris! Looks like a ton of fun! Fantastic off road park you guys visited. You need a new shirt with your logo over the heart and in the middle of the shirt in large lower case letters "ya." 🤣
Dude, both of your buggys are awesome, and those turbo sounds are just perfect, I love Dirt Gear buggy, definitely going to check his channel, thanks for sharing!
Nothing better than the sound of a turbo spoolin.
You built a race car!!! So satisfying watching the suspension work you definitely hit it on the nail!!!
You have to gas it up the face of the jumps to keep the front wheels dropping so quick...
Watch Hailey Deegan at Durham on her Can Am hit the jumps
Lol bro Chris is not a nascar truck series racer. He does this for fun as a hobby not as a job, you cannot expect him to be riding like hailie Deegan man lol
Hes also on a fucking homemade buggy not a 35k can am 😂😂
This is the sickest place Ive ever seen, i wish i knew about it when i was growing up. WOW!!! And damn man i love this kart you made, my favorite of your builds so far!!
No wonder lol, i forgot how far from CT you were. Maybe ill have to make the trip someday because that place is heaven
That us a great place to ride went there many times in the early and mid 2000's
This is such a sick hobby man. Well done. 👍
THAT MACHINE IS SICK!!👍👍👍👍
Incredible builds.
Damn if I'm not sold on wanting to do this. It's been decades since I've been able to go trail riding and this vid has got me bit by that bug for sure. GJ on the build. Good to see it stretching it's legs in a place it can cut loose. =D
Thank you for uploading.
You're looking and sounding way more comfortable as a driver. It's a pleasure to watch. Get that adrenaline bro!
That turbo!!! Wooo love the sound of it! He didn't have his revved nearly as high as you Rev yours
Im looking at all the comments about you not being aggressive enough, and here's my thought. You have built a buggy so fast and so capable, that regardless of how fast you drive it it looks slow. Nice job.
camera footage always looks slow and casual while passenger will be crapping his pants because fast. with the tail sliding a bit you know he ain't driving slow
Man you really sent it in this one! Looks like you're also getting more comfortable driving offroad. Great video as always 🔥
Fancy seeing you here
@@WildfoxFabrication hello there General Kenobi
Enjoy your efforts, you deserve it
That little turbo doing its whistle stuff.. tweet tweeeeeeet
kool place, awesome machines 💪🏻👍🏻
Your go karts are fast. You do great work Chris.
Hey Chris if you ever in Pennsylvania I have some extreme trails you can ride with us at. My neck of the wood will really put your buggy to the test. Lots of mud and really big hills and a strip long enough to hit top speed for ten minutes or more.
You do bad ass work! This is my favorite of your builds!
Ive got a 2009 BMS Power Buggy with the 250cc but it came with an optional 3cyl engine or maybe the 4cyl chery engine I dont recall but my plans are to drop in a small car engine like the one you were riding with had done to it.
Having that place to yourselves is incredible
Glad to see you came to your senses about the mirror location.
That turbo whistle is sick 👌
I have been out to Durham town a lot. We stayed in a cabin over the Fourth of July weekend one year. Trails closed at 9 PM then. It sounds like there’s some uppitty people there now. It was better back in the day...
you need to down shift in the corners and up shift in the straights
I found captain obvious
Both karts are works of art!!!!
Crazzyyy area wow no words!😍
It's good that your taking it easy on that right now. Get all the kinks ironed out of that bad boi before you start thrashing on it. It would suck for something to let go at high speed and end up in the er. Love the content Chris. Keep up the good work and I'll keep watching. 👍
Love it that sick
You worked hard on these 2 builds bro 💯
I love this video
Duuuude!!! The blow off valve sounds soo good on the other buggy
Awesome!!!
Wow!!!!!!! Total noon sauce!!!! Taken just the easy street..... Rough tough cream-puff
Nice video. Man those King shocks cost more than that whole buggy. LoL!!!
Exprimiendo la maquina y sacándole todo su potencial. Buen pilotaje.
Love that buggy.
Chris that place is crazy! The new buggy is fast and suspension is a little soft.. On the track go high into corners and drop down thru it until you get the feel for traction & power.
Hit the gas Chris!!!!!!!! Cmon!
I’m in north Florida and that place is on my bucket list
This buggy is held back by your driving skills. Can't wait to see what it does as you get better at driving.
Looked like a blast. I wish I could have been there.
Durham town is definitely on the bucket list for me I’m on the other side of the country so it’s not as easy for me to go there
Yeah same here, that place looks to be so much fun, nothing like that around here Washington state. For sure gonna make the trip!
I go about twice a year. Fun place but the trails have gotten rougher over the year's as the larger machines with big tires haul butt through the trails. If you take a ride with good suspension and at least 28" tires you should be fine.
Finally letting the Machine out and opening her up. Nice to see It not break down. Oh; by the way you were giggling like a girl...LOL...
I was too. It was nice to see him push it alittle
this is a great track for the thing... now he just needs to learn how to shift it and stop over revving it in one gear and actually shift up and down as needed on the track. He's getting better, it's just that no one ever teaches him and he's not learning it very fast on his own. he'll get it though
Sounds like someone had fun, not surprised. Was thinking a good spot for a camera, would be at the front of that thing, off one of the front supports low down, to give more idea of speed.
You can go so much faster with that suspension
Man I love this buggy
looks awesome! very plush and capable. great job!
question: I wonder if you could do the shifting by electronic servos, that way you don't have a bunch of weird linkage and the shifting would be much easier (basically pressing a button)
might need to add a "gear detent" to keep your linkage from jarring and popping you out of 2nd, might slow you slightly when switching between, high, med, and low and/or reverse on the intermediate gearbox (trans), but it'll ensure that you stay in the gear you select
Good stuff
Looks like a fun place to ride. I still think the cbr is geared a little low but it's an awesome machine.
Good morning Chris!!
I cant wait until you get really good and confident on this buggy, man. you build a really great really competant machine..
I was watching you get more and more comfortable in it through the video and it looks like so much fun.
I think, if you decide to tear the whole thing down to do so, You should get all the frame and suspension parts powdercoated in chrome and the triangle side panels in blue to match the suspension parts. it would suit the buggy amazingly.
That is epic man, well jealous, but one thing I would say, ull have to learn how to drive it and push it, and ull have way more fun in it, yes love it, fairplay🤣👍
Fantastic project love it. Just a quick question have you try drifting that buggy yet? I just can't wait to be in the states bro.
Love the build dude, that 2nd gearbox is a pain. Rip it out 😉
That buggy is awesome. I wonder, is the steering rack slow or does it just look to be too slow on camera? Seems like it's a little hard to counter steer because you have to crank steering wheel so far.
That suspension seems to love the jumps.
Thanks what a beautiful life.
Imagine what you can do as your driving and shifting skills improve with time and practice. A bit of tuning and gear refinement and that cart will kick some very serious arse. You should be proud of yourself for what you've accomplished so far.
Nice to see old school machinist skills are still alive and well.
A guy builds buggy, puts 18 speeds in it,
uses one gear only for track
The wrong gear
but only one of them..
The other 17 speeds… Dude!
Same thought😂
omg it was makin me cringe!!!
Run the GP track all day, get your shift points worked out and start braking into corners. Looks fun!
As for jumping out of second, build a shifter with with a lock out gate with 3 positions in it, pull a lever up, shift it and the lever drops back down in that position. ie a drag car shifter for example
Your buggy has alot of potential. It needs less rebound in the rear shocks, and a hand brake on the rear tires, for starters.
Why less rebound?
@@chachasgood9235 it's pitching the rear up, as the front tires come off the ground.
The shocks he's using are not adjustable if I remember right. Also, the fact that he's letting off the gas on the jumps doesn't help with that rear bouncing up
@@fullmetaljacket7 oh, i thought they were adjustable, my bad.
YEAH!
Awesome machine, great build. Are your rear shocks off a x3 ? Good riding
That secondary transmission is useless apart from reverse.
Durhamtown plantation is the best off-road park ever. I live about an hour from there and used to go mx racing there
That little mitsu motor turned sideways and mounted mid engine would allow all wheel drive and eliminate need for transfer case. Micro bouncer or a AWD crosskart would be awesome.
