Chris, I'm pretty sure you can get a quickshifter module for that engine. Basically allows for clutchless upshifts under throttle. Might make life much easier for you.
All the quick shifter is a kill switch on the gear lever , it just stops the motor for a split second letting it shift without the clutch. I might put one on my buggy be pretty cool
Hey Chris, this is one of the best builds online. The way you built the gear set up with hi and low range is simply awesome. Hope alls well mate, keep living the dream bud. Cheers Ad from Oz. 🇦🇺🙃👎
Long travel suspension and high end adjustable shocks adjusted and damped properly will win every time.. Plus allow one to walk better in their older years...
109°C is approximately 228°F and is beyond boiling for unpressurized water. The boiling point for antifreeze is higher and being in a pressurized radiator increases it even more. The Centigrade scale is easier to understand than ours. While our freezing to boiling points are -32°F to 212°F, theirs is from 0°C to 100°C respectively. With it being so short they do have to break it down into decimals though as one degree Celsius is a much larger temperature swing that one degree Fahrenheit. Just FYI for anyone who is interested...
Pingel electric shifter,2 button,1 upshifts, other downshifts...no clutch required once your rolling as it interrupts the firing momentarily and shifts at that precise moment... Wicked fast positive shifts and only clutch in at stops... A simple engine sprocket upsizing means only adding a 2nd master link and as many links as needed and will make some serious gearing differences...
You know it Anything that vibrates gets loctite I learned the hard way a few times racing RC off road trucks Cost me a couple wins not using loctite on my motor bulkHead a arms etc Reminds me I need to get some blue I'm out lol ✌️
If you don't want to change the gearing then you should launch it in second gear so you have a little more time before you shift. Maybe even third depending on traction. You can also look into a quick shifter.
Hi Chris It might be worth investigating removable weight ballast for the front and rear, this will help to keep you from rolling end over end or flipping the front up over jumps at speed, as your next step will be to go faster. I noticed the rear of the vehicle leaving the ground higher than the front and although the vehicle weight is at the back you've also got driver weight and position to take into consideration. Ballast weights could help with this, would also be useful if you have different drivers.
Water boils at 100 deg C (at sea level) so there must be something wrong with your sensor or that thing is way to hot =D. Very cool machine though! Glad you finally got to ride it flat out.
@@michaelblacktree Yes, this is true.. I just looked up the CBR engine and it does indeed say that it can run over a 100 deg C during very hot days... Well, you learn something everyday.
Water boils at 100 celsius at sea level. The average running temperature for an engine is 90 celsius. If running with coolant it may reach up to 115 celsius in safe . Nice ride, need some more gear shifting practice only
That would lend itself well with a 5-6 speed trans w/ paddle shifters. A heads up display may come in handy as well. Nice machine though, must feel incredible to pilot your own creation!
Change yours to double a arms and central drive chain hub and you could lower the motor heaps to reduce roll and slide more.. however you will loose travel
awesome machine man! been watching all your builds for years and this thing is truly impressive! i think the gearing is perfect, go with bigger tires! 3 inch bigger tires would put this thing on a whole other level in my opinion, good job man!
Great runs! your buggy looks like a dream to rip around the tracks. Can't wait to see what comes next. You must be so proud of your work dude, well done! also haha '109'c isn't quite boiling...' xD 100'c is literally boiling temperature lol.
I have always wanted to build like you and many others do. Don't have the support or the cash to make anything come true. Have engine experience and can weld. Want to relocate. Any advice?
In my experience hitting rev limit is terrible for drag racing....meaning you definitely need to shift sooner and faster... but you build some sick sick stuff.....love your videos brother keep em coming!
Hey Chris I have a question when do you think your going to paint your buggy? And what color you might use to paint the buggy I'd say you could paint it a blue color cause I haven't seen you use blue on any of your builds. But I was wondering when you might paint your buggy and what color.
Awesome place to rip fore sure That 1000 is a beast I think you could bet Dirt gear on the drag strip You need to get it to where it changes gears fast and smooth right before the limiter kicks in you gotta snatch a gear You was over ribbing the crap out of it You will get it Practice makes perfect ✌️
i’m not positive but i think you are only three cylinders. watch the injectors with the air box off and you can see the fuel pulse. your twin exhaust could be causing it to sound like that. but i’ve owned a lot of gsxrs and a 954cbr and sumthing sounds different again maybe just the exhaust throwing me off
Bro love your videos, but it’s called a turbo track for a reason, and this buggy is the best yet and I would buy blueprints for it , but you’re lucky you didn’t come up against a built rzr 1000
I would use fourth gear in the secondary transmission I bet it would be much faster unless it's a three speed box then drop your rear sprockets a few teeth because it's way to low geared
On my 250 Ninja kart I'm using a Dynojet speed shifter , that gives me the ability to upshift under full throttle without needing to use the clutch ....check em out !
Bounce your shifter off the rev limiter. No clutch, hold pressure on shifter. It will pop into the next gear when rev limiter hits. Poor man’s quick shift.
Chris: “it got to 109 Celsius which is not boiling” 🤣🤣🤣! Sorry Chris had to say it. Rig looks awesome just got to gear it so it can stretch its legs a little
@@michaelblacktree yep it is it climbs by 3 degrees for every psi at least in F so 109x1.8+32=228.2 or 5.2 psi which isn’t too bad but getting close assuming he’s using a factory rad cap which was 1.1 bar or 13psi he was only a few degrees from boiling over.
Also get yaself a chest guard and neck protector, maybe some gloves would ya...lol weve all seen what can happen and the speed your going at a helmet and t shirts not gonna do a great deal for ya champ. Looked alot of fun through. 👎🙃🇦🇺

Or I'm sure Rekluse has an auto clutch.

Idk why he even uses the clutch.
@@camyota I doubt you could get the transmission unloaded with that much driveline drag.

First time seeing you at full send must be an awesome feeling,I think we are going to see a lot more videos here.
What a joy to see it all come together !! Well done Chris. Taller tires and all terrain. Great place to let her run!!
It's so awesome to see you fully enjoy your hard works.Well built, and well played.
There needs to be a track like that in NC. Crazy how smooth your buggy rides over the bumps and jumps.
Long travel suspension and high end adjustable shocks adjusted and damped properly will win every time.. Plus allow one to walk better in their older years...
11:21 that looked so sick
Taller tires would improve top end and limit spinning off the line.

That looks like the best track ever !
looks like you found a home track now, glad to see that
Hoping to see a video using your new lathes soon, those things are amazing and the guy who donated them to you, is clearly invested in you.
Finally chris is not the one that breaks everything and starts sending it 🤘🏼
What an awesome day and an awesome rip, thank you for the video! Looks like the perfect place for homebuilt buggies and crosskarts.
The main reason why i love Sunday

Nice one ! Need some big rear tires like my ones for the dirt drags haha, but you would build it better than I have
Wow, with more practice your gonna be a contender. This place is the best for your buggy, we can't call you slow anymore. You rock bro
Need some red loctite for hardware that shouldn't come off and blue loctite for stuff that needs to be maintained (brakes).
Amen !

With the power that is pushing, do you think you'd benefit from bigger tires? You seem to be hitting the limiter very quickly.
You never got your drag rematch… I guess we’ll just have to go back 😜
Takeoff in 2nd or 3rd with that gearing
Holy smokes! Your subscriber count has gone through the roof! You were at 280k like a week ago! Well done!
Love the sound, like an Indy car

Nutin there but Dust and Pine trees But the GP track is kool for machines like u got.
I wanna see Grave Ninja on the Turbo Track where you can really open her up.

I wonder if the pressure cap on the radiator isn't working. His coolant shouldn't boil until 220⁰F or higher.
Boiling temperature in a pressurized cooling system is much higher than 100*C, even with straight water. So no, there's nothing wrong.

I'm no expert , but i think the front shocks could use tighter rebound and reduce the full droop by a couple inches? Legitimate question btw.
Don’t change the gearing. Just put bigger tires like the others guy.. it will also have better ride quality.
That would lend itself well with a 5-6 speed trans w/ paddle shifters. A heads up display may come in handy as well. Nice machine though, must feel incredible to pilot your own creation!

Super awesome day
100 degrees Celsius is boiling. :P 👍😁
The last thing you want to hear someone say after lending them a vehicle is “ wish me luck”
thats a sweet track
100 deg C is boiling for water at sea level. Antifreeze and pressure raise the boiling point. But 109 deg C must be getting close to boil.
Man you need to find some kind of sequential trans the H pattern is to hard to set up with all that linkage.
And to think you gave 2 or 3 days of this up to play in cars and cameras back yard this looks much more enjoyable.
Cross promotion is good for the channel, it's just good business.
No one said anything about the boiling point of water is 100 degrees Celsius and he said 109 is not boiling

If you change any gearing just change the CJ Trans sprocket set.
I live in NC and would be available if you need a driver, test or otherwise!
Would be interesting to see your take on a race spec cross kart, more of a European based one.
I agree 😉
Might try getting taller tires and some kind of sway bars for when you want to run a fast track like that. 👍
Amazing good video brother, very nice
Man, you built that from scratch and it rips. Not a 25k rzr; home built and awesome.
Hey bro if you do really consider trying that in the Baja 500 or even the 1000 I will drive for you

You need more wheel time bro.. cool build though, more riding experience will go a long way! Get out and rip on that thing!!
I agree, kinda hard for me too watch cuz I just want to get in it and show him how to drive…. 😂
after thought the plugs may show also
Ok, you live in America. Stop talking Celsius! Talk Fahrenheit!!!!
where ya'll running these things?

make the suspension softer and you have more grip. negative suspension travel of 40%. use up to 90% of the travel.
Dude, what a beast. You just need defenly work those gears and be more quicker, well don't
Look's like you're the proud of the wood
Bounce your shifter off the rev limiter. No clutch, hold pressure on shifter. It will pop into the next gear when rev limiter hits. Poor man’s quick shift.
Try different bigger tires before gearing. Notice dirt gears machine has taller rears.
You're on dirt with a strong engine just start that race in 4th and drop that clutch and gooo
that's awesome!
Ever thought of building/copying vehicles from movies or Games. For example Borderlands Buggy?
Amazing machines
You should really try to ride in higher gear. Sounds like the engine rpms are most time way to high.
So Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Put a turbo to that

I think if you had the gearing of high in medium that would be good, and low would still be plenty of slow speed and torque.
You should get bigger steering wheel
If that kart could kiss you it would be French because it is loving the fast speeds.
Dry. A different gear besides 3rd
