Everything now is baked, brittle and inflexible without breaking. This guy would be dropping a large number of F bombs if he tried to make this video today.

So many people complain about rust on these cars... I guess I got lucky. Not one spot of rust on my 2001 E320.

Remove the backseat and check where the battery is. YOU ARE BOUND to have atleast one little spec of rust over there.

...depends a lot with the climate, if you live in a snow zone where they put salt as an anti frost...

My 1997 e320 has no rust either. It's a Houston , Texas car.

Is it necessarily to take off the steering wheel to pull the cluster? In W124 it was possible with the steering wheel. I love disassembling interiors, I' ve could watch whole day such videos ;)

The same happened to me. This indicates that the battery is getting low so replacing the old battery in the remote controller resolves this. Cheers
