Growing plants using fish for the nutrients is called Aquaponics. Just another branch of hydroponics gardening. Why are people not building aquaponic tower gardens or vertical farming? I think we should change the game and it starts with you. How do I build a aquaponic garden you may ask? look no further than this video and downloadable guide to creating your own aquaponic garden!

Thank you, and you still look like a kid to this old lady! I am going to add some plants to my aquarium set up and you gave me a lot of ideas.

From what I know of it... Tower garden Aquaponics don't work well because you need more surface area to create the nitrifying bacteria. The flood and drain beds add a a lot of surface area. If you go tower or NFT you will need a massive bio reactor.

Ive got some issues with the idea of growing food beneath food thats a fun idea but i dont know if the nutrients from the fishes are enough to grow a good supply of food , putting in extra nutrients seems pretty harsh to put the fishes eyes through that . Someday the questions about the idea should be answered .

Aquaponics works well. really well. Its a balance though. Check out some aquaponics channels as well as this one. they cover it more.
