the hardest part about all of this is having the balls to walk up to the enemies casually knowing full well they could 1 shot you
you dont watch many speedruns, do you lol its not called "having the balls" its called "hoping and praying the strat works and if it doesnt, youre pissed and reset" lmfao 🗿🗿🗿 this comment is beyond redundant, dawg. doin absolutely nothing with this observation

The boss is easy as he says. The most difficult is avoiding the mold sucker punch and the crawler one shot kill attack.
true, crawlers were such a pain
Crawlers almost ruin madhouse to me, mfs are too tanky for how much damage they do
1 enhanced handgun headshot kills. But otherwise I agree, they are ridiculously durable if you don't hit the head
@@ashce10 console aim go brrrrr
And yet it is the Best difficulty to play to get an awsome experience of this game.
I remember beating Mad House for the first time… Amazing moment. The infinite ammo made it all worth it
i know what u mean cuz it took me felt like 4ever just to get through Madhouse and i'm still surprised i beat it. wheww. and yes having unlimited ammo really really does help on whatever mode your playin on.
I've never been so satisfied completing a game on its hardest difficulty.
This game sucks
@@Findthatyeti noob
@@Findthatyeti lol that's why u here
Imagine literally just saying that Madhouse is easy. So casually. RESPECT
It is I tried it with circular saw and it's so easy the only hard part is jack last phase and the fat molded at the end of the game in the mine area
@@jackfoley1765 of course its gonna be easy with the circular saw. But tbh it wasn't that hard, just the damage output of some enemies is obviously unexpected.
It is. It's closest thing it has to difficulty is fake difficulty, like dropping literal end game enemies in when you have a pistol.
That's not hard, it's stupid.
It's honestly really easy. The molded don't actually change very much from Normal - they're a *little* bit faster and slightly more durable (1-2 more headshots to kill with glock typically) but that's just about the only real change. Jack is of course very fast, but that's pretty much only relevant in the hallway because you'll get the scorpion key and be downstairs before he can really be a problem after you get out of the kitchen area. I'd already been collecting coins before beating Jack 1 on my playthrough so I ended up being able to buy the key right away.
Madhouse has less prepped ammo laying around, but you can find a ton of chem packs everywhere, and I swear you get more red chems in madhouse than you do on normal. I didn't even know about combining gunpowder with regular bullets to craft +P bullets (instead I was mixing red chems with gunpowder) and I still had plenty of super bullets, enough to kill molded in my way and still have some leftover for bosses. But I was breaking down the big medkits with the blue chems, so maybe I had more red chems to play with than average? With how easy it was to kill molded, I never really had to use a lot of healing outside of boss fights.
@@dc8836 Since you get grenade launcher earlier, Marguerite section isn't that hard
And after Marguerite second fight, you can just use separating agent on flame rounds and craft either enhanced bullet to commit mass extinction or stun rounds to waltz through enemies
Thank goodness you can't craft shotgun shells, or else the game is way easier than it should be
Speaking of shotguns, the double barrel is also another reason why it makes the game quite trivial
I found beating RE2 on hardest difficulty, with S+, was easier than RE7 madhouse
I don't know how.
RE2 Hardcore isn't as hard, but you gotta beat the game in under 3 hours. Now if you mean speedrunning . yeah, RE 7 is way harder to speedrun. Even if you can block attacks only one slip will cost you your life. RE2 enemy placement is more lenient
I feel like RE2 being in third person makes it slightly easier to see enemies than in RE7
I made the S+ on RE2 without dying, now I'm trying to beat Madhouse and I already died 4 times in the Mia with a chainsaw boss fight
Yeah re2's zombies got nothing on the molded, zombies just let you shoot them, molded will rapidly waddle at you and beat you to death
Bro I beat re7 mad house and I can't even beat re2 without using infinite ammo from the deluxe pack
The difficult part is dealing with the molded by the dissection room through which you have to pass in order to fight Jack.
Just use the circular saw... so easy in madhouse.
@@xspacerx032 but even with that the standing ones still punch you, even when your crouching and then you die
@@luvmyrugratsable Nah, just aim for the head ^^
So true
The hardest thing for me is not being scared of the boss appearences.
The second marge encounter feel like a Doom Eternal Gameplay with all the weapon swapping
I felt the same way when I first played it
This might be, probably, my favourite Max difficulty of all times. I still see the heart attack I almost got from the jumping molded before the safe room next to the basement, as on normal he is not there. On top of it I didn’t save as I was sure I would make it there…back to the dinner scene.
I couldn't get past Mia with the chainsaw on madhouse back when I was playing this because i felt like I was hitting perfect headshots and the fight just would never end. Never thought to axe her literal ass
You basically have to not miss a single round of ammunition on her head or you will lose. I was able to beat her that way because I completely forgot to pick up the axe.
Yeah, my average gamer skills do not allow me to do any of your things.
The hardest part of madhouse for me is literally just the Beginning where jack be chasing you like a maniac and of course the Mia boss fight where she moves all weird
Honestly when I played madhouse it wasn't that bad the only problems I had were the final jack boss cause I had only pistol ammo
i had the same problem when i played it the first time on madhouse. but i found out that u can ''stunlock'' him. u have to force jack that he is above the ground. when u are in his range by his arm attack u have to step back when he is attacking u. shoot some ammo in his eyes and get closer to him again. he will use the same attack again...and so u repeat it again and again without losing any life or to much ammo. without this trick i had to reset the game i think. :D
If you have essence of defense and secrets of defense then use it. Stand on the bottom floor and keep an eye on him. He will attack you with his arm. When he does just press L1 and you will take zero damage. After that knife his eye with your knife. You save lots of ammo that way. It should be easy to knife most of his eyes since his hand is right next to you after he attacks you. You can also run around to the side of him and knife his other eyes a few times. Don't knife him for too long though. Get back into position after a few cuts on him, defend against his attack, and then run to the side of him and knife him again. I do this everytime and it works well. Plus, knifing your enemies to death is so fun and satisfying.
I'd love to see more videos like this for the other resi games. or even just like videos that go into why speed runners do what they do, like quickscoping on staircases in 2/3remake and other such things
i mean i know why speedrunners mainly only use the sniper on re8
moving quicker up and down stairs is classic RE. In re1 you would spam a button and slide the stair like 2x as fast as if you walk it regular, looks funny too. In re2 remake, this is just another version of stair sliding. It saves like 1/3 the time of a staircase. You should look up speedrun getting started tutorials and movement guides of games you are interested in. Stuff is really cool. Squeezing those seconds is mad important for runners, but on casual playthoughs, I enjoy the timesaves too, so I like learning the general tricks. Ballista back hopping in Doom Eternal is another example, or grenade/box explosion boosting in Goldeneye 007. Ghostrunner 2049 has this boost slide ledge hopping that really opens up the game to experimentation, that one is sooooo damn cool. I only casually enjoy that game too, but the advanced movement guides make it really really fun and swaggy to play for style and originality.
In resident evil 2 remake aiming and unaiming cancels the stair walking animation so spamming it lets you run full speed up staircases
It's so nice to see someone playing the game without having their cheeks clunched and their heart racing at all times, i can barely look at the enemies
For real, re7 is the scariest game, and not just because of the Bakers. I will die on the hill that the molded are one of the creepiest basic enemies in the series, there's a reason why they reused their ai for regeneradors in the re4 remKe
Im pretty sure of two things.
Margerite has 2 weakspots, one is weak to fire. the other to shots.
Her hive belly to fire, her HEAD to shots. her belly doesn't get much more damage from shots than the rest of her body.
I always thought her belly was her weak point
the coochie hive

Once you make it into the main house and into the laundry room the game is not too bad if you have Albert-01R and circular saw and defense scrolls. Once you memorize the house get adjusted to misplaced items
I like how simple these explanations are, even for people like myself that don't speedrun. Makes me want to try haha
I tried.. and failed.. pathetically.. hahahahaha..
You must not be good at anything. Experts make their craft look easy because you're seeing the version where all the mistakes have been learned and avoided.
@@MikhailFederov That's a hell of an assertion to make. I'm well aware that experts practice day in and day out. That doesn't diminish from the fact that when they do a run perfectly or as close to perfectly, it looks clean and somewhat do-able.
@@RokonGaming You think it’s easily doable because you understand why that is. Which is telling that you’re not good at anything worthwhile. Maybe a professional procrastinator or social media scroller.
@@MikhailFederov Learn to read. I never said I thought it was easily do-able. I said it *looks* do-able. Again, making assertions about nothing you know anything about, especially anything about me. Stop being bitter about your own miserable life and projecting it onto me, it's gross.
Gotta give my respect and my like, I spend several hours trying to beat madhouse "casually"
After the second Marguerite fight, you can use separating agent on flame rounds since enhanced bullet/shotgun deals more damage

Re: The Mia Chainsaw fight. Talk about tearin' that ass up!
Indeed
4:14. Ah yes the tried and true bloodborne strat.
the hardest part is emulating what you just did with Marguerite
I could’ve used this guide back in May during my time with Covid, I platinum’d the game during my first two days. Some of those fights suuuuuuuucccckkkkeeedd.
fun fact: Jack's final form has the same exploit as fighting Mia with a chainsaw, if you constantly chase Jack's tail, he'll never attack. Very time comsuming method tho
My strategy for this fight was to stay close the ladders when in the water and pivot between the two. When Jack falls, I just move right back up to the second floor and shoot. When he climbs, jump back down, rinse and repeat. Very easy when there is a method to the madhouse, so to speak
Thank you for this guide, Madhouse is by far the hardest game challenge I have ever played, For the life of me I could not get past the Greenhouse fight until I watched this, Thank you!
You know what you missed? The last encounter of the two fat molded in the mines. Right before the encounter with Eveline.
You need 2 neuro rounds and 1 flame round, and some handgun ammo. What I do is first shoot a neuro round at them both and a flame round at the explosives of the ladders. Then quickly run, shoot the mines and try going upstairs. I don't know about anyone else but I struggled a lot with this part.
This video helped SO MUCH during my playthrough of madhouse
I’ve been playing RE7 for three days!! We finally killed jack!!! At first I thought we just kill him once and he’s dead 😳
Hardest part of madhouse was definitely the two moulded at the end when escaping the cave
saved the whole ass magnum for that part and STILL almost didnt make it
@@stepsentire922 why magnum I used my grenade launcher froze them used some flame rounds and finished it with my machine gun
@@louieplays9229 the magnum is basically the albert during the finale its funny how easy it is to kill the fat molded with the magnum
@@saddamhussein2 I don’t like wasting the ammo unless I have infinitec
For me the fat molded weren't that difficult to get by on madhouse. All I did was shoot the 3 bombs on the ladder with the pistol to get them out of the way while evading the molded. After the bombs have been shot I just stun both of them with the neuro rounds and climb the ladder getting away from them. You don't even have to waste shotgun, magnum, or machine gun ammo on them.
The hardest part for me is the basement of the first house with all the molded and the ship at the end
I love that you used radagon's theme in the last fight
I was doing a madhouse run when you uploaded this lol
The Mia attic fight is RIDICULOUSLY hard
I failed 9 times
I went through a binge of RE7 a year or two back and wanted every trophy. I wish I had this video then, would have made the fights a hell of a lot easier haha. Not even for speed running, just the strats are genuinely good!
Great job though!
Hey trance can't wait to see another amazing vid
I have a way to Taking out mia and molds without taking damage using axe or knife. What worked for me is this: approach mia or a mold then start swinging while constantly walking around them in tight circles. That will confused them and prevent them from aiming directly at you. That's how i do it. I don't slash then walk back to dodge. No i save time by constantly swinging my axe while walking in circles. It's very effective.
I'll try that. Thanks
@@erzascarlet47 you're welcome
Bosses: c'mon ethan we arent that hard!
Mold: you will hate me from your last day alive.
I remember the one I had most trouble with was the last Jack fight, although Marguerite was hard too... Psychologically at least
God tier video, more pleeeeeeeeease i live for these

lmao, i was watching this with my mouth agape all throughout as you went "one grenade, two shotgun, and a full handgun magazine" like a god damn high speed chef
don't forget the chicken we left to marinate in hearted comment for a year
Madhouse actually easier due to less enemies encounter imo. And when by the time you pass Chainsaw jack. You pretty much able to save enough for the whole game
That was amazing! Didn't look like you were steeping back during the first Mia axe fight, but maybe it's just too quick. Because you just kept swinging and hitting her and when she swung... nothing. I thought if you took a step back you'd miss her too.
I am replaying RE7 at Madhouse and this is doable, just stay behind Mia and hack her and go in opposite direction of her, because she will try to swing left-to-right, so you hack and go right-to-left and she'll drop after couple of hits.
this speed run is making me think I'm going to rethink my entire life edit:I was correct

Okay wow the second jack fight looked easy as hell for you to do. I haven't played seven in a long while but I am in mad house mode with the Albert gun
Great guide, this still looks quite hard and stressful haha :) will attempt again one day
That second Marg fight had me SO confused!
I made it all the way to the mine towards the end, but gave up somewhere inside. Madhouse is fun, but I got burned out.
Why would you give up with like 20 minutes left in the game? Makes no sense
@@macabre9484 I just don't have the patience that speed runners have. I'm not even great at the game. And this comes after I had played through on medium and hard going for the under 4 hours run on both.
I had fully intended to beat that run but I never got back into it.
You made it all that way to quit at the end smh
@@naughtyNuGetzz23 Honestly I sat there at one point and had to ask, am I enjoying myself or am I doing this because I feel like I need to finish everything. And I just stopped. This was only a couple of weeks after the game release I think. So I had to really rawdog the game to learn about it.
And I just got burned out after playing through each of the difficulties. No fault of the games I love RE7, I should have moderated better.
Does your weapons carry over from previous playthrough to madhouse?
Do u have another channel where you upload the full unedited speed run

I love the editing of this video
for me when I could easily do all of this; the hardest part for me was getting passed Mia in the first bit. after that I loved every second of the game.
Mad respect!! But seriously, where was this video when I struggled thru madhouse last year? For real, its those damn molded that are the hardest bits of the run - bullet sponges... Bosses aren't as bad, at least you can use a cassette tape to save beforehand. Lost waaay more progress due to bad shooting/ bad molded placement, oof.
Beautiful. Just beautiful
I'm working on this last playthrough for the platinum on PS5, and I managed to get to the ship on Madhouse. The part I'm struggling with is getting the elevator cable with Mia's limited resources. Do you have the full playthrough of this run? I'll gladly watch that, but can't seem to find it.
Any tips? I can't seem to juke around them but I'm sure there's a route I'm just not using here. Haha
Ok, finally managed to juke em' with minimal health lossed!
Great video. I have a quick question. What is the font you used for your thumbnail? Thanks.
Komika Axis
I screwed myself out of beating the double fat molded fight near the end by not picking up the magnum and saving over where I could've gotten it. But most other fights are trivial if you have the saw
Yo great video, I like how the Jack 2 fight is laid out such that even with the extra cinematic core opening it's still very consistent looking.
One thing you forgot to mention is queueing up the last Neuro before the Jack 3 finale (you jumpcutted out the Neuro reload), but everything syncs up very well. I'd also mention how many rounds each eye takes as well so to solidify the ammo routing for whoever watches. I definitely like how each eye is taken out in such a way that makes it easy to aim as long as your weapon switching is on point.
I was worried about playing mad house but the I found your video 😂😂😂
Damn man you must put another of time into this I get too stressed in these games to be casual about it
the first time i did the attic on madhouse i was on it for like 5 hours but i am surprised i was able to beat madhouse on my Xbox twice and pc 5 times its a really fun speed run
Can someone explain to me how the Jack fight in the morgue i supposed to work? I'm probably doing something wrong, but for some reason whenever I use the L2+R2 attack the chainsaw almost immediately stalls every time.
You don't need to shoot jack at all in that first fight in the garage. If you just run to the lockpick and open the case fast enough you can get in the car and hit him and then when you get out after he crashes just face the corner until the car explodes
That’s what I did first time
he's trying to speed run, your way is easier, but shooting jack is quicker
