I found myself buying my own tire machine combo because of the really bad service. My rims where being scratched and so on. Y got the 988 and I love it. Just doing my own tires has paid for this machine several times and my rims don’t get scratched. Very nice video. Thanks
Not bad for $1300 new. I bought a used Corghi for more and it has all the functions yours has, but the Corghi has the pedals in the correct order and also the bead breaker is adjustable for wide or narrow rims. I live on a farm with various tractors, trucks and such and added up over 100 tires that I have to keep air in. Once you have one of these machines, you can't live without it.
Oby-1 this definitely isn’t a Corghi but it’s awesome for us. I did look at the pedal and it’s an easy fix if I just take the time to do it. But you are absolutely correct on the farm this is an absolute must have. I would be lost without it.

I haven't balanced one of my tires in about 10 years. I don't have any vibration until above 70 mph. But I have pretty much grown out of going that fast.

Engineers say the beads cannot work. Likely most tires now are made very close to balance, along with rims. If beads work, then may as well use slime and have it fill the holes too.
For the bead breaker pedal, the fancy John Bean and Ranger brand tire changers are set up the same way, you have to step in towards the middle of the machine to reach it.
What's the chances that a switch of a couple air hoses would fix your peddle problem? I'm going to say 100% . I'd bet they are all the same so switching the airline to the peddle you want should be pretty simple and well worth the effort. Great demo video. Peace
i know its obvious, but i would remove the spring from bead breaker and bend the rod out so you don’t crush your hand . and then swap the pedals around . i always modify all my machines to suit my own work style, and thankfully rarely have problems doing so
Andrew Norman that’s exactly what I plan to do. With the exception of bending the handle. The only time the handle will smash your hands is when your doing 35’s or fat tires. With the handle bent out it gets too far away for me to reach comfortably. I like to hear any ideas that might make my life easier. Thanks for watching.
We have the same tire Gods. I swear I get flat tires more than anyone I know, and when I can least afford them. I ended up making my own attachment for the HF manual tire changer, but I'm definitely looking at buying one similar to yours. I know this is an old post but there is nothing wrong with the gauge. it will only read tire pressure when you let off the pedal. when you are putting air in the tire the gauge reads the incoming pressure. Also all you need to do is just hit the blaster real quick to blow the tire to the beads and then just hold the it to fill.. easy peasy...

The BB's is a pretty good idea... I have been using Dyna beads for years. The BB's are a little bigger and metal, compared to ceramic... But its the same basic idea!
MrHub929 the smaller ceramic beads actually work better and don’t make noise when you go through a drive through. But not a big enough difference to justify the additional cost.

Craig Monteforte the price in their website today is $1,369.00. The specs say 49.25” not sure how well that would work but it had no problems with the 35’s. Little car tires like this aren’t too bad on the manual machine but the 10 ply pickup and 14 ply trailer tires are a real pain with bars.

I use them to balance the tire instead of weights. Too much doesn’t work neither does too little. I like the BB’s because of our dirt roads. When mud gets in the wheels they seem to check themselves as it flys out or builds up
Because it’s a handle. You have to pull it out after every push so why cause yourself extra steps reaching for it. That’s what it’s made for. Thanks for watching.

Citizen of the universe at the time of the video we were using a job site compressor. Rolair 5715K17-0277. Now we’re using one we got on an auction that goes to 150 psi and makes the bead breaker push harder. I don’t even know what brand the bigger one is.

Saw one simular to this with a tire balance machine also for about 1500 delivered on ebay (new) Tired of paying so much for tire changes. Not a fan of putting bbs inside the wheel lol
I chose this over the mayflower ones on eBay only because of some reviews. As far as BB’s I’ve probably got 120,000 miles with them and no issues. Too many doesn’t work just as too few doesn’t. And never run them if you have TPMS on your wheels.
Doesn’t look like a bad machine for the money. I purchased a Rim Clamp Machine from Harbor Freight 14 years ago for $1000 without the Bead Blaster. I didn’t care being I had a portable Bead Blaster that I used with a old 10/10 Coats Machine I owned for years. My HF machine came equipped with a round table that is perfect for the machine. I use plain Joy Liquid Dish Detergent mixed with water in a spray bottle to lube the bead for mounting and demounting and it works well. Never heard about the BB’s trick to balancing before. Good video. I don’t think you went wrong for the money. One other thing I had a hard time trying to demount a runflat tire with my machine from a C5 Corvette. Was able to demount it but it was a bear to do and I gouged the stock rim a little so I gave up on doing anymore runflats again. Have you done any Runflats yet? Just curious. Oh by the way you can easily pass for John Belushi’s brother you look so much like him to me with the beard.
ffas23 we used a coats manual machine for years but it was a pain with 14ply and implement tires. I’ve done lowpro on a coats that works just like this one so I’m “assuming” it will work the same. Behind the barn real life I am still using my Harbor Freight Rim Clamp Tire Machine similar to yours as I mentioned above. It was built to last with the electric table. Everything else is air operated. The only thing I had to replace were some clear air hoses under the table that dry rotted over those 14 years or more that I have had it sitting out in my Pole Barn. You will know when they start to leak. I purchased similar plastic hose from the Home Depo that worked well. Amazon carries a better product type of hose that I purchased afterwards but the hose from Home Depot is still working fine for how much I use the machine anymore so there was no need to change it out yet. You can’t beat having your own machine. One of the best tools I ever owned which saved me a lot of money and time over many years. Had my old 10/10 Coats tire machine which was all air operated since the early 90’s. I only paid a couple hundred dollars for it but today you really need a Rim Clamp Tire Machine to do most wheels without damaging them. I sold it and used that money to upgrade to the rim clamp machine. Maybe you will have better luck with runflat tires then I did. I never want to do another with my machine. If you ever do them you may need a 2nd person around with a 2nd tire iron in order to do it. That is why the newer more expensive tire machines have all of those extra arms and different adapters and what have you on them today. You really need it to do runflats.
ffas23 one of the nice things about this machine is that I can get the assist arm that bolts on for $500. The holes are there and tapped ready to go. Also the motorcycle attachment is under $300. I couldn’t justify the extra money at the time I purchased it. Your information on accessibility of air components is definitely comporting. Thanks for the tip.
Ronn Rogers as soapy water is better than no lube I’ll have to disagree that it works the same. On new soft tires soapy water is sufficient but on old tires they sometimes tear without the real lube. Thanks for watching.

I wasn’t able to find an older model that would do the 18”-22” rims. If I only needed 16” and smaller I would’ve went with an old console coats. We do patch a lot of tires and they always need done at night or on a weekend. We’re also in the middle of nowhere so by the time you drive to town get one patched or replaced and home it kills half the day. So we keep our common sizes on hand in the shop. Thanks for watching.

Last time at the tire shop they didn't tighten the tpms sensors and they came loose inside the tires. Ordered the tire changer.

The coates 40 40 is good for 35 s quicker too the electric machines are good but slow

as far as the foot valve being backwards why not just reverse them maybe all you have to do is exchange the lines from one to the other

You only hear them when you’re going very slow as in drive throughs slow.

Just stand the tire up, most of the time you don't need to use the blaster
Tyson Behnke I rarely use it on car or light pickup tires. With Heavy side walls it’s awesome. Sometimes I’ll have to use the cheetah.
