  • Cult isn’t always a bad word!!
Several guns have cult followings - and the PX4 is high on that list.
In this video I’ll take a look at couple of reasons I think people love this firearm.
Would love to hear about your experiences with the Storm!

I stumbled across James Reeve's videos with Langdon on the Px4 and I found a used LTT Px4 CC not long after. It had almost all the upgrades, minus the Np3 coating, but had an optics cut and the RMR included. The amazing thing, it was $850. Spec'd out from LTT, it would be close to $1800. It's so amazing. It became my main carry gun, super duper flat shooting, and soft to boot. I'm still getting used to it, my main pistol being a CZ P07, so it definitely took some getting used to.

Similar to mine, I saw the same video and a couple by Chris Baker with his, the lucky gunner/ammo I think it is. I found the Langdon tactical version, new with a couple holsters, one was a $200 holster I was able to sell. It carried the pistol was too high.
A great pistol, I am a Beretta fan. The trigger is almost too light. I was able to get that package for $650. After seeing them on Gunbroker for $800-$900, I jumped on this one.

Definitely wanna get one in hand before ordering one, cant find them anywhere in store. I would like to have one for carry but based off the specs, it seems even larger than my CZ’s and my P30.

@@ResplendentRaider Specs are deceiving. Especially on the compact. The way the lines are cut on the gun it seems to be much smaller. When you hold it it’s seems way too small to be a 15 round pistol. It doesn’t feel that heavy, is great in an appendix holster and the trigger (especially the worked ones) are phenomenal. It’s a very “safe” gun as well. A lot of people’s measurements that make it seem larger than other guns as far as width, are measuring the stock safety / de-cocker paddles. The slide and frame has a very thin profile.
People think that it looks ugly, but if you pick the gun up and shoot it, you will wonder why you waited so long.

I dont think Beretta has ever made a "bad" or unreliable firearm...every handgun and shotgun they have ever made has knocked it out of the park. We'll have to see how their new rifle does. Both my PX4 Compact Carry 9mm and my Beretta M9A4 are incredibly accurate, ergonomic, and have never malfunctioned after over 2500 rounds through each.

I wanted a high-quality DA/SA 9mm double stacker compact with no manual safety and good holster availability. The PX4 Compact was on my short list, but I couldn't get the variant with a decocker-only and no manual safety. They seemed to be rare as honest politicians. I wound up buying a HK P30SK V3 with factory night sights. I run the guns as they come in the box, no mods.

you can limp wrist the px4 and it will still cycle, if you get one before using it check the inside parts for thick hard grease and really clean that out. i predicted 6 months ago this gun with it's awsome action will go viral. i got the full size f model and want also the compact which are both hammer fire, the sub-compact is the tilting barrel action. love the one piece curved trigger. i really wish they would make a compact model without the ugly rail! don't need it for conceal carry! my new smith shield 2.0 is really thin and conceals great! think on that mr.beretta lol

I agree that folks who like/enjoy the PX4 Storm line is solid, although overlooked/ignored by many. It took me a while, as the "looks" were a misleading distraction. After finally purchasing a full size, I am hooked, and the LLT trigger in a bag raised to bar to don't look back mode. I am looking for a good deal on a PX4 Storm compact to add and will have the LTT trigger in a bag installed. The LTT treatment by LTT team is amazing, but I am not paying $1,500 to over $2k for a carry gun that might be confiscated. I also keep hoping that Beretta will wake up and bring us a v. 2.0. It's way past time... The 92 and APX series keep getting updates, and they are appreciated, but the PX4 lines needs some lovin' imo.

I chose the PX4 Storm Compact, because of the controllable recoil. I wanted the full size, but it is a full 0.95 inches longer than the compact version. The full sized has 4.0 inch barrel compared to the 3.27 inch barrel of the compact. Yes, the longer barrel on the full sized is more accurate at greater distances than the compact. The PX4 full size and compact are definitely "fat" guns, but I wear one pant size larger to accomodate the compact and full size. The Beretta 90 series are the most popular and most iconic, but the PX4 storm is made in Italy and is accurate at 30 to 40 ft which is the industry accepted defensive zone 👍🏾

I’ve been thinking about this pistol a long time. I’m just wondering if the stock compact carry pistol is good without all the LTT upgrades. An LTT pistol cost over $1500. Don’t think the gun is worth that. I would like the compact carry G model. 😊

    • @scooter5940
      @scooter5940 5 месяцев назад

I had the stock “Compact Carry”, which was designed with help from Langdon but comes from the Beretta factory. It is distinct from the basic PX4 Compact in that the Carry has an upgraded “competition” trigger, special sights, low-profile de-cocker only, grey slide, bobbed hammer, and a couple other things. It’s priced higher than the basic Compact but I got it on sale. It’s a great gun, excellent shooter, though it’s still a longer, harder trigger pull than the ones from Langdon (I have a 92 from LTT and the trigger is butter). Ultimately, the PX4 was a bit too chunky for me to carry in South Florida. I scratched my DA/SA itch with an HK P30SK, also from Langdon, which is a bit smaller and lighter.

The PX4 Storm has a strange history. It debuted back when DA/SA was completely out of style in favor of either SA or striker fired, and went unnoticed for over a decade before Langdon single handedly made it one of the hottest pistols on the market.
I've had two, a compact .40 amd now a fullsize .40. I think they're neat, amd my experience Langdonizing the trigger of the Compact made me very impressed woth the results, but something about them always seems a bit off. I think it's the frame shape/texture and the slide finish. Plus the sound of the slife cycling when dryfiring it just seems...different😂. Overall though, I really like the pistol (that's why I bought a replacement after selling my first one).

@@CasperChicago The 92 and the PX4 are pretty different. In a good way. And you'll be surprised how different the PX4 C is to the full size. You can actually own both.
