This is excellent. I’m new to Elite and my main issue was trying to figure out which binding preset to use with my Xbox One controller. Your vid helped clear that up; however, eureka moment happened when I observed your use of the alternate flight controls. Switching between the regular and alternate flight controls as needed was the key to 3 successful landings in a row. I salute you, sir.

Great video. Thank you. BTW, you can use your compass once inside the station to indicate where your landing pad is. Orientation plus solid dot in front of you and hollow dot behind you. :)
I switched "Alternate" flight controls so Lateral Thrust toggles using "L3 down" between turn and skew (slide). It makes that final landing lineup (L-R) much easier. Occasionally, during a fight, it toggles, but no matter, it actually helps in some ways as your using L3 to turn, rotate, etc. anyway and skewing left/right while turning left/right can make getting behind them, and staying there, a bit easier (IMHO). Switching between the two modes, even accidentally, can make the target AI lose its lock if its behind you as you spiral to get behind them.
Very usefull..especially for new starters (just as me) who can barely make it out of a station or getting in. The basic flying is very different thinking then for example driving a car or truck. You have to put in the hours of learning..this was very usefull as i said and i'm gonna watch it a few times. I would like to see a tutorail about traveling to other galaxy systems and traveling within a system and lining up on a station. It's not easy to keep alignment with the target galaxy or planet. Anyway..thumbs up for this one !

How could I swap the up and down on the left stick I have tried the other settings in flight and haven’t found anything I’m looking for up =up not down and down =down any thoughts
HOW do you move laterally left and right? landing is pretty much impossible without that ability and I just can't figure out how to do it. i'm on PC using a PS4 controller.

im pc player at elite dangerous, i use only keyboard and mouse, but im use to it, but when im playing at ps4 pro elite dangerous its just night mare, roll a lot, i hope this help me, its even difficult going inside starport 😆😆😆😆 +1like m8
The controls for this game are absolutely terrible, nye on unplayable I would say. A game is not enjoyable when it takes half hr just to land, well doing any kind of movement is the most enfuriating thing on this game.
Just started playing already 1000 creeds in the hole for crashing my ship in the first base you come out of. Thought I could jump right in definitely not happening lol!! I think maybe I wasted my money games like this aren't for everyone I might not have the patience for it.

thank you, the set speed to 0% was a big help. the learning curve here is steep, but i wanna continue with this game.

You probably have the buttons dual mapped.. maybe

Nowdays you have auto landing and auto launching, which really saves beginners alot of trouble.
