I bought this mic and I have issues with Canon R6. Even on the low rec level (below 50%) I hear strange crackling noise. It doesn’t sound like typical hiss. I have this issue also with Boya MM1. Canon service didn’t consider it as a fault but they replaced the mic input with the new one, and the problem still exists. I can’t believe it’s a normal R6 behaviour as I haven’t had such problems with the R. Have you ever heard about such issue?
I have not heard of this issue before. Have you contacted Deity? I've used the mic with a Canon M50 and with Panasonic G85 with no issues. Hope you get it figured out. Thanks for watching!
Im trying to figure out why the mic won't pic up sound when using my phone. It only pics up sound from the phones mic. Im using a lightening to 3.5mm adapter and and aux cable but no sound whatsoever??
When using the mic with a iPhone make sure the cable you use is a TRRS not a TRS cable. If you are using a TRRS cable and still having an issue it could be a problem with the cable. Thanks for watching!
How does this compare to the d4 duo? Which setup would you recommend better? The d4 duo in dual mode, or the mini with the rode wireless lav hooked up to input? Also one more question. My d4 duo is horrible in windy conditions even with the dead cats on. Is this improved in the mini?
In my opinion from owning both the D4 mini is the better option. Sounds better and the input makes it just as versatile as the Duo but simpler. Haven't tried it with a wireless setup but I'm sure it works great. I haven't wind tested the mini but it's bound to be better with with wind than the Duo due to it's design. Check out this video by Dunna Did It where he compares the mini with the Duo as well as other mics ruclips.net/video/EEj-2Tqf41I/видео.html. FWIW, I sold my D4Duo after buying the mini. Thanks for watching and thanks for your input!

Great review, mr. Philips.
I think I'll go for the Deity mic.
One question though: with what specific cable did you boom the microphone?
This is the one I use. You can get them on Amazon here amzn.to/3RHLbBr

Hello! I choose a microphone for my phone, I stopped at comica vm10 pro and deity v-mic d4 mini. Please tell me which one is better to choose?)

@@IsomPhilips Thank you for the reply! And you're welcome.
The one thing I don’t like about this microphone is colour of the cable.
Personal preference I guess. I like it. Great mic though at a great price. Thanks for watching!
