Glimmer glass best for softened day time glow the black mist better for low light situations especially with lights and neons and traffic really makes them pop very cinematic try this filters in low light to really see what they can do.

Can we use this preamp device as, Line level audio output from audio mixer to Mic level input to Dslr camera or any audio device wich has mic level input option?

Well, thanks for this. I have an NTG-2 that I've never used, it came with a camera I didn't end up using much in general and never used for audio. And after a longer while of doing nothing with cameras I picked up a new one and am figuring out what to do for sound, remembered the NTG-2 and wasn't sure whether to bother getting stuff to try to use it or just directly go for a new mic. Based on the sound here I'm going to give it a shot, it doesn't sound like anything really special but good enough to be worth giving a fair shake.

Hi Mr. Philips. I learned more from you in 5 mins than nearly 50 videos on the subject. I need your help please. I am looking for a wireless handheld mic (for interviews in crowded, noisy areas i.e., not omni directional or am I wrong?), that is not complicated to use and will not cost a fortune (up to $200ish would be the sweet spot). I am currently using the wired RODE Video Micro II mounted on top of my Sony EZ V-10. The Sennheiser MD 46 peaked my interest but I don't know how to use it wireless, seems expensive... I'd need an XLR mic transmitter, maybe a booster. The DJI II and the Rode Wireless Pro are appealing because they are easy to use, but I don't like that they have an omni directional polar pattern. Any help would be appreciated!

Black pro-mist is more cinematic, while the GlimmerGlass is more 90's television glow.

For some reason my iPhone SE 2020 tells me it needs to much power. Weird.

Now they are cheaper. And I have some. They are not bad, the key features are good brightness and portability. I have at work big one, and it required huge power block, itself light is huge..... 60d is tiny comparing to a big "professional" lights

I have a Rode NTG, but mine quit. It was replaced under warranty but while I was without it I bought a Rode Videomic Go II. I have been very impressed by the Videomic Go II. I often use the Videomic Go II instead on the Rode NTG because I don't have to worry about the battery. I shoot live theatre, concerts and dance shows with multiple cameras.

how do you feel towards Tiffen Pearlescent and cinebloom when compared to the glimmerglass?

Thanks for the review! I had the ETM 001 briefly (bought from amazon) and loved it due to the great sound and compact size. But the audio was clipping (too loud) even at a low level on my Sony camera. Even when a level 1 or 2 I found the audio clip in a windy situation. I am wondering if you have experienced this issue?

can i use the regular camera app on my phone? or do i have to use the app to get stabilization?

Hi isom, I use 2 edutige etm 001s and love them and now il probably get the 008 and plug it in to my dji standalone clip on mic rather than use the noise reduction on it.... Great video and very useful information... Best 73s from the uk... God 😊bless

When I first connected my new RODE VideoMic NTG to my iPhone 14 Plus, this message appeared: “Cannot use accessory … requires too much power.” Both devices are fully charged. I’m using a new SC15 lightning accessory cable. Do you have any wisdom to impart? I mainly purchased this set-up to record birds, so iPhone compatibility is key.
