Cat Janice is part of our incredible artist scene here in DC, so when I learned she was losing her battle to cancer and leaving everything to her son from her final song Dance You Outta My Head and asked for sad covers of it, I reached out to Thillman Benham to create our version for her. Also the screaming vocals really sell the story.
Was there an intentional connection to Rohan in Lord of the Rings in the cello part? Such a beautiful sad theme.

Thanks Aimee! ❤️ there was indeed, I feel like the way that she faced this cancer with such courage even though she faces almost certain death was analogous to the way Theoden and the Rohirrim came and joined gondor in the return of the king. And the line fits so hauntingly beautiful here we had to include it.
