Same here. I held off on watching it but heard great things and I am not disappointed. Shane made SNL funny.
They honestly do but considering a ton or comedians tend to be more left, weirdos have assumed SNL went full political. They've hosted plenty of independent thinkers (literally Dave Chappell) and I see these same comments across every one of the monologs...
@LilFletch926 SNL focused on Trump as a punching bag for so long, they forgot to write anything funny. SNL used to be more consistent with random skits, now, it is 85% political and 5% funny and 10% just to fill the gap.

Haven’t laughed this hard since Bill Burr.❤❤great job Shane😊
People were wrecking this monologue on the Internet. I think he killed it. Hilarious.
it wasn't funny he is still just trying to do louis ck, he needs to try to find his own voice
I thought it was funny and the fact he was clearly a bit nervous humanizes him a bit in my eyes. How could you not be nervous hosting SNL after all that went down?
@@jimlivininozHe doesn’t need to be finding his voice on live television when thousands of people are seeing him for the very first time
@@jimlivininozart inspires art. Cry about it
He crushed it. But not on the “woke” scale🤷♂️
Haven’t checked an SNL guest in years and here I am for Shane Gillis 👏
Same🎉
Way to make it about you
You're doing it wrong
Yup, that ❤
Me too! In fact it's my first time in *decades* actually. And I never even heard of this guy before -- I just got on some kind of list where I apparently promised I'd show up and watch the show this one time only and then never do it again.
He was pretty fuckin' funny tho.
This is guys is incredible. What a set ❤
This might be the funniest SNL monologue of all time and that’s including Dave’s. He did it with a mostly hostile, woke crowd that probably looked like that girl over his left shoulder in the background. This set would kill at any club in the city. Legend.
