    The jewfish has always been elusive… have drifted off patonga/ Juno with live squid with no luck but near that fishing with both SP’s and live nippers bingo! All I generally catch are flatheads which 20% are thrown back cause they are over 70cm do get the occasional blue nose bream. Good show and yes I subscribed. And I am a chippy and have worked in the building industry for longer than I want admit. Have decked out the Cruiser and about to circumnavigate the east/southcoast to Perth and northern WA so your show is perfect! Keep it going 👍👍👍

    @Mark-ew5jm Месяц назад +1

    Have always been a Daiwa fan and as such am interested if you can tell me why the first and second stripping guides on the Seajigger 1042 M rod are opposite set to each other….I mean, the guides have three “arms” and the first two guides they are set in reverse of each other. I know this may be a bit pedantic but looking at these mess with my OCD….LOL! Certainly looks the goods for a light lure tossing rod for sure.

    • @davidphan9434
      @davidphan9434 Месяц назад +1

      They are set in reverse to minimise guide wrap with the line when coming off the spool. This method has been used for many years and by many brands/rod builders. completely normal :D

    • @Mark-ew5jm
      @Mark-ew5jm Месяц назад

      Thanks David…..there are so many different guide configurations out there now and I must admit I had never really noticed that configuration before. Thanks for the clarification.

    • @DaiwaAustralia
      @DaiwaAustralia  Месяц назад

      We run many different configurations of guides depending on the style and function of the rods. The idea behind the reverse stripper guide is it minimise tangles and line slap on the guide frame as it flys off the reel. The Seajigger's all have a small diameter stripper guide in comparison to other rods. The first guides function is to choke the line and stop spinning through the to others toward the tip. This allows the line to rifle through the rest of the guides and give you optimal casting distances.

    • @Mark-ew5jm
      @Mark-ew5jm Месяц назад

      @@DaiwaAustralia …. I can understand what you are saying about “line slap” and minimising tangles but I have never experienced these prior on any Daiwa rods that I own…..I don’t know about the mechanics of the design of the Seajigger, but it is more the lack of symmetry and aesthetic of that particular rod which is why I asked the question. I still use two Daiwa two piece rods that are 42 years old now….I broke a tip section off one so I decided to shorten the top section further of both rods and make them nibble tips…..my go to when bait fishing for both estuarine and freshwater species. Thanks for the feedback.

      For the Mulloway fishing , it was mentioned not having light on the water as it puts them off .
