That’s an awesome tutorial. The drone shots and water clarity were very helpful. Been trying to visualise this for a awhile based on other videos but this one’s made it clear. Thanks, mate!!
Hi Wayne, I'm from Melbourne, saw your video for the first time. I'm still learning to fish, very passionate. I spent lot of time on RUclips trying to learn the science of it. This video is very educative. Will be back again. Great work mate. Thanks
You are my first fishing teacher Mr.Wayne. We’re lucky to have someone like you 🥃Used to watch your videos on TV, unfortunately couldn’t leave a comment from that device, but I liked them. Absolutely love your work. 🥃💙
mate! i have been looking for this kind of detailed description on how to find the drains ect on beaches...this is the best of them all thank you for doing this as a rock fisho turned beach this info its priceless ..great job..all our beaches are flat and this will help alot, then it dawned on me,for beaches that have the worst rips and there should be fish!?!.....
Great video Wayne, your info was really informative and i learnt alot in that short amount of time. Thankyou for your time and effort, i really appreciate it. Top Man!!
Thanks, I really get a lot out of your videos, and appreciate you taking the time to create the content. Would love to learn more about the advantages and/or disadvantages of fishing rising tides, falling tides and turning tides on beaches and estuaries in SE Qld, and whether the time around the new moon makes a big difference, if you ever make a video on that.
I am a French fisherman on the Atlantic coast of France and we have beaches that look like yours with currents, sandbars, very dangerous. We call them "baîns". Watch on RUclips. Thank you for these clear and wonderful explanations for surfcasting. Sorry for my english !!!
Awesome video Land And Bay Fishing !! Keep up the amazing work Land And Bay Fishing !! Thanks for the videos Land And Bay Fishing !! Your videos are very informative and helpful Land And Bay Fishing !! Cheers William !!
Excellent video mate. Very informative and well explained. I will try your tips on my next fishing trip. You earned my subscription half way through the video. Thanks champ.
Great video! Well explained thru your drone video. Just started this hobby of soft bait fishing this last month and planning to invest soon on surf fishing combo reel and rod. Good thing I have a drone that I used for video but now planning to use it to look for great surf fishing spots. 🙂 Cheers from New Zealand 🇳🇿! Thank you 🙂
Drones find everything thing even the schools of fish. To find a hole you can see the mind by the water is very slopped on surf beaches. . And you get big mulloway Jewish out of them in South Australia 👍
Hey mate, is it any good to fish the ‘outer shoal’, behind and around where the waves start to form? I’d imagine it’d be impossible to cast that far. Can you let me know if it’s any good to fish there if you can?
Nolixss yep it is but your right it’s a long cast most of the time. Chevy put distance casting on RUclips. Some great tips on how to go that bit further.
I'm so jealous that you have beaches with no one swimming 👀 probably bcuz of where you live but if that were here, there'd be hundreds of people 😅 nevertheless, great video 🤙🎣
Where's the right spot for fishing on rocks where there's a thing where you can park your boat on one side and and on the other side is rough sea what sides better for fishing
Thought so. Hope sometime you may be able to come to Vic and show me where to throw my bait. Cheers Love Queensland beaches they are easy to pick . Cheers again keep on Fishing for a feed.
I understand pretty much everything that you’re saying but when you do your arrows why don’t you say cast here or this is where I would cast is in this section of this section right here is where I would cast if you could point to those spots will have a better idea of where are you and cast that would help us cast there to
A crest point on a wave with the maximum value of upward displacement within a cycle. A crest is a point on a surface wave where the displacement of the medium is at a maximum. A trough is the opposite of a crest, so the minimum or lowest point in a cycle.
Unfortunatly in Victoria it's illigal to drive on our beaches so all our observations are from road distance and usually a long walk down to a fishing spot.
Easy, simple, and straight forward, this is by far the best out of all the beach reading videos I've watched. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed
Brilliant, very useful for a Pom who’s coming to visit.
Happy to help

great vid. thanks man.
Most welcome
Awesome video! Very informative thank you! What beach is it filmed at?
Teewah Beach
Great vid is it Fraser? Is there a way to identify gutters at high tide also?
Teewah Beach. It’s definitely easier around the low tide. But you’ll definitely be able to see the gutters on high tide
Great video mate
Thanks. Glad you liked it
amazing
Glad you liked it
So would this type of spot be predominantly fished with bait or could you spin it as well
I prefer bait but definitely both
Sorry if you have seen this one, needed to correct music issues. Thanks for watching.
So scout for your drain at low tide, but wait to fish it at high tide? Is it a good rule of thumb to always fish at high tide?
Yep
Drones find everything thing even the schools of fish. To find a hole you can see the mind by the water is very slopped on surf beaches. . And you get big mulloway Jewish out of them in South Australia 👍
Tick Tock yep. Game changer
Hey mate, is it any good to fish the ‘outer shoal’, behind and around where the waves start to form? I’d imagine it’d be impossible to cast that far. Can you let me know if it’s any good to fish there if you can?

You sound like cogg the old timmer out door choof grower near nimbin, lol
Thanks
I'm so jealous that you have beaches with no one swimming 👀 probably bcuz of where you live but if that were here, there'd be hundreds of people 😅 nevertheless, great video 🤙🎣
Thanks Bird.
Put red arrows in as to WHERE TO FISH! After all, we're after the fish, more importantly, as we read the tide. Then I'll subscribe.
Maybe next time
What’s the difference between the “drain” and the “gutter?”
The gutter is the valley between the two banks and it will turn and drain at some point back out. The drain is also referred to as the rip.
Where's the right spot for fishing on rocks where there's a thing where you can park your boat on one side and and on the other side is rough sea what sides better for fishing

You guys must live in QLD I am Victorian
Yep. It’s all Q footage
Thought so. Hope sometime you may be able to come to Vic and show me where to throw my bait. Cheers Love Queensland beaches they are easy to pick . Cheers again keep on Fishing for a feed.

Will give that a go
What the hell is a cresting wave?
A crest point on a wave with the maximum value of upward displacement within a cycle. A crest is a point on a surface wave where the displacement of the medium is at a maximum. A trough is the opposite of a crest, so the minimum or lowest point in a cycle.
Land and Bay Fishing that just confused me more
I don’t know that language sorry
Sorry bud. It’s the only one I know.
U can't hear clearly
👍
cant even hear you talk
Sorry kFc I do my best.
Unfortunatly in Victoria it's illigal to drive on our beaches so all our observations are from road distance and usually a long walk down to a fishing spot.
That’s unfortunate. The way things are headed it’ll be the same for us.
