I've been absent from fishing for 40 odd years(life got in the way). Retired now, and I needed someone to explain the new gear (no such thing as braid or fluorocarbon in those days!) and the science of reading a beach and fishing in general. Went to Ocean Beach near Strahan, Tas. followed your tips and caught some nice sized salmon!
I'm pretty sure they're the biggest fish I've ever caught ... so thank you, Roger, for all your input . I feel much more capable now.

One thing or another has always prevented me from returning to my birthplace. But it's people like you that give me a grand connection with a place I do so very much love. I tie all my bait already on hooks, freeze the hook and bait. This approach stems from that I have determined exactly what fish
species I am going to target, as well as where I am going to fish, with our south-easterly, easterly fishing wind in mind.
