    I LOVE this simple robin's egg cake. It really reminds me of spring and is perfect for Easter! This cake is a must make if you love vanilla. It is so moist and easy to make that I have a feeling it will become your new go to cake recipe. You’re just sifting the dry ingredients and giving them a whisk then mixing all the wet ingredients and finally combining the two, mixing for a minute or two until combined.     This was a great recipe and great Easter decor! I made your French Buttercream and put it in the center of the filling and left the Italian buttercream white for the outside of the filling. Really looked like egg yolk and white inside. Your vanilla cake taste like moist sugar cookies. Love it and thank you!

    Speechless don't really what to say
    I am going to try making this cake but pls can u tell about the belt we don't have this in my country can I use silfine and make it,like belt can you tell me pls is the egg the blue one are they chocolates.one more question do u preheat the oven mine in electrical one and 250-is the max and it's fan kind so pls if u don't mind answer me u are great chef

    Is it okay if we use frosting on the outside instead of buttercream? Will it look just as nice after using a bench scraper?

    Do you think mixing a little buttercream with some brown food coloring and then thinning it out with water would work for the speckles? Chocolate gives me migraines. This cake is gorgeous and I'm going to have to make it!

    i like the small cake idea especially since i'm the only one eating it. only problem is buying more cake pans. i already have several 8, 9, and 10 in wilton cake pans. i thought i was set. :(

    Hi,
    First of all, I must say your cakes are out of this world, especially your 'signature' flat cake layers.
    I've try yours at home. Everything looks exactly the same until the cakes come out of the oven. Dense and wet, not spongy and moist at all ;; A ;; I really dont know where I went wrong and hope you can help me out on this.

      Are you using a gas or electric oven? You may need to calibrate your oven if it's electric. It's super easy. Google oven calibration

      I tried the recipe and had the same problem I remade the cake twice but I had no luck both times very dense

    Thanks for thr recipe, but I have made the cake. Its ok and everything but I had a problem with the forsting being very stiff. It made it difficult to smooth out the cake. I had double check the recipe and I am wondering if I shouldnt have put the exact amount of sugar. I know you dont have to but this applys to the consistanty rather then the taste.

      It should be very stiff but you can add more milk until it’s able to reach a good spreadable consistency. Or you could add 1lb and 1/2 of icing sugar

    Hi! I have an important and urgent question. The measurement conversions for milk, butter, sourcream in this cake recipe are different fm lemon blueberry cake recipe. Example in this recipe you say 1/2 cup sour cream (133g), but for lemon blueberry cake the sourcream 1/2 cup is 120ml ( that is 120g). I see the differences so far for rest too. Would like to clarify why similar measurements was converted differently. Thank you :)

      Preppy Kitchen Ok i hv tried this out n used 120g of sour cream and 120ml milk. Rest ingredients i used same measurement as indicated in yr recipe. I do notice each layer does not rise as much as yours. I used 6 inch pans and bake even strips. It rised only 1/2 of the thickness from what i see in this video. Please note i use a fan oven 170 deg and baked for 25 mins. I followed all steps correctly. Upset it didnt get a good thickness :( Any advise! I really love the recipe n want it to work well. Thank you!

    I feel like I can always taste the sugar in my BC & I hate it. Literally tastes like sugar & butter. Not sure why I can never get my frosting right unless I add cream cheese to change the flavor
