The the Pac-12 needs to add Tulane Memphis, Texas San Antonio, South Florida, U Conn and UNLV. Additionally they should add Gonzaga, Saint Mary's, St John's and Georgetown for basketball only. That conference would be a power conference though it would be the 5th of 5 power conferences.
wow, i would love to see this conference in real life! there's still regionality and rivalry aspects, whoever does win this conference definitely deserves a playoff birth
My picks are to get another non-football school like Grand Canyon to complement Gonzaga (which they have already committed), and add Sacramento State, UNLV, and Air Force. That could be enough to drive Cal and Stanford back to the conference.
This: If done right the new PAC will incorporate the 2 most football crazy regions in the country: the South and the Mountain west. Memphis and Tulane UTSA and Rice Utah State and Wyoming South Florida and Southern Miss UConn and Georgia State 16
I keep saying that they should invite both Gonzaga and Grand Canyon as Basketball members. The Pac 12 would certainly welcome back Stanford and Cal should the ACC lose their flagship members of FSU and Clemson. Bring the State of Texas in with SMU and then add either UTSA or Texas St Solid job
Agreed, but adding the other teams I talked about at least gives them a shot at getting Cal and Stanford back and being a power conference again as a result
No…, but it’s a good start! They are already the best of the remaining “Group of 5” and with the addition of a few key institutions, who knows? In this current landscape of conference realignment, you just can’t stand still or you will be left behind.
Oregon state, Wazzu, Unlv, Colorado state, Fresno, San Diego state, Boise state, tulane , Memphis, SMU, wake Forest, Syracuse, USF, Stanford and Cal. That's 5 AAU schools in this list and looking more like power 5
To the disloyal 4.....as a UNLV fan...i say we take the millions of dollars we're gonna get for the poaching of the MW and use that money to do what is necessary to make UNLV attractive to the BIG 12. I don't want UNLV to move from the MW (a G-5 league) to the PAC-12 (another G-5 league). UNLV has the facilities, plays at Allegiant Stadium, has the capability to host big time college football games, Las Vegas is the sports capitol of the west coast, and I believe UNLV is a sleeping giant in college sports and could be attractive to the BIG 12.. We've proven to be able to compete with the BIG 12 (see 2 wins against HOUSTON and KANSAS). The BIG 12 should be UNLV's goal....not the PAC whatever they are. UPDATE: UNLV IS #25 IN THE AP POLL.
@@perrystevenson6364 I would love UNLV in the Big 12, but idk if they’re gonna expand unless the ACC collapses. UNLV’s best bet might be to join the Pac-12 before getting left behind in a weakened MW
So what are you going to do when UNLV gets the invite to the PAC??? You heard all the reporting so far, the PAC wants Las Vegas, the issue is separating UNLV from Reno, Nevada. Are you going to refer to UNLV as the disloyal 5 when they get into the PAC??
they don't want UNLV. they don't respect us or think we are as good as they are. fine. screw them. we need to take care of ourselves...do what is needed to make UNLV attractive to the BIG 12. however long it takes.,
UNLV doesn’t have enough fan support, UNLV has to compete with the Raiders in their market. Last conference championship was in Vegas and there was almost just as many Boise state fans as UNLV fans present. not to even mention that many people who do live in Vegas don’t care too much about football because of all the other stuff that goes on in Vegas. While I’m glad to see that UNLV football does seem to be on the rise I think you guys have got to grow your fan base a bit more and to establish a bigger brand to be more attractive to the big 12 which is why the PAC would be good for you
These are some interesting picks, however 2 schools who don’t have a football program and jumping to the fbs probably would not happen. And some of these teams are far away. And cal and Stanford probably won’t come back
@@ICECREAMDISH Gonzaga and Grand Canyon would be non-football members, and Cal and Stanford probably won’t come back but this is the path to which I think they’d at least consider it
Tthe Pacific 12 should have been U.C.L.A.,U.S.C.,SAN DIEGO STATE,HAWAII,FRESNO STATE,STANFORD,CALIFORNIA,OREGON,WASHINGTON,WASHINGTON STATE & OREGON STATE.
It’s gonna take them beating other power conference teams out of conference every year to build up and be able to survive the supposed bad schedules every year
Cal and Stanford aren't coming back. They signed a grant of rights with the ACC. The PAC12 is not going to be a power conference, no matter how you slice it.
Idk, Boise state and Fresno state have constantly confirmed that they can and will be able to compete with power conference teams, Oregon State and Washington State have been power teams, and SDSU football has seen better days, but I believe they are on the rise and already have a really great basketball program. Colorado State is definitely gonna be the weakest member. But I do agree, unless the ACC explodes, then Cal and Stanford won’t return, I wouldn’t be surprised if they went independent, those schools blocked Texas and Oklahoma from joining the PAC cause of academics. But even without those two teams, if the PAC adds Memphis, Tulane, UTSA, and maybe UNLV, then Gonzaga and St Marrys for basketball, it would definitely be the best of the rest conference and take the playoff spot 9 times out of 10 which at that point they should be a power conference anyways, definitely a power conference in basketball.
Tulane and Memphis? Ugh. I'll pass on this cross-country nonsense. Idc about them being a true power conference again. That's dead and gone. I just want them to exist and make sense again. lol.

Definitely swap Grand Canyon for St. Mary's. To me, that seems like a no brainer.
UNLV + Las Vegas = WIN

Great Idea
Thought about adding Rice alongside SMU just because it’s a high academic school like Cal and Stanford
@@BallTalkBoyos You did make that point! Appeal to Cal and Stanford with SMU, Tulane and Rice!
All those plus Long Beach State to retain the LA TV market.
I would add Air Force and UTSA along with your selection, equal Power Conference!!!…..
Yeah... maybe. But let's be clear, adding Fresno St., Boise St., San Diego St. and Colorado St. to Washington St. and Oregon St. isn't going to do it.

Stanford and Cal are under contract with till 2036. ACC would have to dissolve first
So how long before the Pac extends invites to the AAC teams? Thats what really matters at the moment

Yes one too 5 team or two top 12 teams.
Maybe the SEC would be willing to give up vanderbilt which we could be a good rivalry game with Memphis and tulane in the PAC 12
Vandy wouldn’t leave though
You tube censorship is a total joke.

@@BallTalkBoyos What do you think about Texas State and UNT?
The PAC need to add wake Forest, Syracuse as well
I feel like this would backfire in some way, and Wazzou and Oregon State should’ve either joined the ACC with Cal and Stanford or just go to the MWC.
Wazzu and Oregon State sadly didn’t have any options outside of the MW.
Why do you along with every other RUclips analyst just quote the same BS you heard last night on ESPN. Ffs it is pathetic
What am I quoting from ESPN?
