Good evening and MOST welcome (from the other side of the planet and hemisphere) You've once again just made my sunday afternoon Stavros!!👍. There's nothing on earth like the sound of a V8. and like a V8 very thirsty!! Hehe! Keep 'em coming Stavros and keep on trucking!! From one very happy 🇳🇿 in 🇦🇺
Hello mate . I use to have a 2014 / 580 by the past and it was a good truck and friend of mine bought the same but 520 HP ....that one wasn't good at all for fuel ! ( and doing the same fridge businees) . Please to watch you again soon. Greetings from Brittany.
Another great video Stravros. These walk around videos are brilliant for people who might be involved in freight etc but from a completely different area. Really interesting to see the Trailers and the build quality. Keep them coming.
I have similar brackets on the back of my truck here in the U.S. We use them for holding those tubular telescoping cargo braces (they are used in solid wall trailers, not sure how common those are in Ireland) push-brooms for sweeping out the trailer, things like that. I haven't seen one holding a ladder, but it probably could be done.
Nice one Stavros. I guess its what is available that decides this buy. Sounds OK though, and maybe not led a hard life with less that 60,000 km p.a. Another good buy, if the V8 is not important, would be a S500 orcsimilar, with the DC13 6cyl. You get the S spec. flat floor cab. Well worth having over the R cab I.m.o. 👍💯🇬🇧😉
Probably just needs and alignment and a good, thorough clean to be just like new. The fridge just needs a new handle (which you can probably get from a wrecked truck) and the A pillar one likely just needs to be tightened somewhere. I'd also put clear UV blocking tint on the windows just so the sun destroys the interior less and maybe I'm a bit overly paranoid about skin cancer lol. 35L/100km and AP definitely suggests to me that someone was whipping that thing around like a sports car. You have to put in genuine effort to get fuel economy that bad in those.
Nice second hand truck from o'tooles. They probably won't send out older trucks thst don't have warranty on them. Breakdowns can be expensive in Europe.
Hi Stavros matey 👍 it's mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍 first thing first the little red kids car parked in the car park is that what you came into work in today haha lol 😆😆👍👍 as for the older Scania R520 V8 it's a nice looking truck and i think that's the better looking Scania really because you can customise them up better than the Scania next generation. I know other privately owned truck drivers who have got the older 2009 upto 2013/14 scania's and they prefer them to the next generation Scania trucks and they are not going to sell the older Scania trucks. Great RUclips video Stavros matey 👍 keep up the great work and keep your RUclips videos coming out please thanks from mark from Wirral Merseyside 👍👍 don't forget to go home in your little red kids car haha lol 😆👍👍 thanks from mark 👍
I don’t think you have been impressed by the 580 and I have ran Schmitz trailers for years we bought a euro liner in 2004 and ran it for 15 years the floor was never a problem but the back doors started to warble but overall a good to use trailer
Safe to say we all miss you Stavros, Would love to see more of you again!! Stay lucky ❤❤
The brackets on the back of the cab are for fridge load bars 👍🏼
An absolute classic
Looks like it was a very wise decision to add it to the fleet. Nice tour. Thanks
Probably the best Trucking videos on RUclips, great job Stavros, I particularly like the variety of camera views!
Nice to see you after a long time
We miss you stavros! you're the one who got me into trucks, really waiting for the next video, greetings from Argentina!
The best bloke for truck reviews. Cheers 👍🏿
You are our best teacher here in Africa. We learn a lot from you.We need more from you Bro....

We love the lads n ladies from down under
37 litres not too bad my average is 46 😂
If your in New Zealand bro I can take you out in a V8 scanny
Yes. Brackets mounted behind the sleeper are for storing load locks in place.
Lift the under run bar a few inches .and strip of checker plate on each one by the poles for a ladder ! .

Miss the days of your frequent reviews
Be alright with a little tlc to mend those few faults. Better looking than the new ones. Thanks Stavros😊😊
4:39 - lpoks like VW infortainment screen to me?
When the fridge handle cover breaks off which most do… just push the metal bar quite hard and pull the top of the door down at the same time…
Hie Stavros, I'm a huge fan from Zimbabwe 🇿🇼, keep the videos coming.
Nice bro am also a trucker in Kenya 🇰🇪 East Africa
Well boi been following your videos for few year now and i eventually saw you on the road i was coming out of tivoli you heading to Mayfield in Cork..

That for load bars at the back of the cab

Aahhh V8 with EGR & VGT. Some people like it, some people don't. They have their own sound characteristics.
Nice second hand truck from o'tooles. They probably won't send out older trucks thst don't have warranty on them. Breakdowns can be expensive in Europe.
I'd still be driving a 143 given the choice 😂
Try it. Noisy, cramped etc etc
For a week
can you try out the newest r590/590S??
Nice review on that scania, I am not a scania fan though 😅. I can’t wait to see you reviewing Volvo aero.
you didnt brake the s580 did you stavros
Only when coming into roundabouts
You didn't brake the s580 stavros969
What's your favorite overall truck?
Enjoyed the video chap .. excellent
More videos. Nice looking truck 🚚
Holds load bars when not in use
nice
Did you try the r590?
Who make the best trailer bro
Why not in RLT livery
It's Lungelo from South Africa 🇿🇦I'm also a truck driver
You need driver?
So why are you driving it??? Where’s the s-series?

What gear ratios do you run in the rear-ends there?
This is only my guess. But i think the truck equipped with GRSO905 gearbox (overdrive 12th gear) + R780 Scania Axle with 2.92 diff ratio.
What happened, you no longer upload videos frequently 😢😢
If I ever visit Ireland I will give you a call
So what happened to your S580?
Maybe daddy took it off him, maybe a naughty boy
Good morning Stavros
Good morning!
👍😎
34.78 litres per 100 km is 8.12 mpg.
That's a lot compared with the new trucks
That trailer floor/subfloor looks really fragile, atleast comparing to how trailers are built in NZ/Aus. 37 litres not too bad… my average is 46 😊
I don’t think you have been impressed by the 580 and I have ran Schmitz trailers for years we bought a euro liner in 2004 and ran it for 15 years the floor was never a problem but the back doors started to warble but overall a good to use trailer
Great looking r series but you never answered why you are driving it 😀
👌👌👍
34 L / 100 km ? Dude I don't even get that when I'm empty. Loaded in the wind It gets as bad as the high 80s
✌🏽
Give me a 164 over anything....
trucks without a bogeyaxle just looks silly
89km/h speed limiter? thas just evil😭😭😭
Does Stavros like to drink from the furry cup?
That would have been a top spec truck when it was brand new surely?
I want open pipe
