As someone on the spectrum and having had 10 interviews the past six months for fulfilling and good paying jobs but not being selected and having to resort to working the same type of minimum wage, thankless job I did 30 years ago when I had no professional experience is disheartening to say the least. My biggest dream is to one day have an opportunity to work a job where I can actually be mentally engaged, where I can feel a sense of freedom from my depression and anxiety, and where I can one day have the confidence to feel like I am someone worthy. Until that day, I suffer alone.

it took me 2 years to change my situation and going from a factory worker into a web programming job. you just have to continue to send CVs and cover letters and never quit. Dress well for interviews, and really touch the recruiter by something. If you really know your job and the recruiter senses your energy you gotta be fine. I got two jobs proposals after more than 100 rejections since the start of the year but gladly one company took me. Thats a 2% acceptance rate. I was well prepared for the interview, brought my documents, and my cv had already impressed the department chef. Its something Ive been trying to manifest for 2 years, my last of day of work at the factory I almost had a tear dropping. I also dont use the victim mentality, you gotta realise you are where you are because of you and only you can get you out of that situation. But if you already in the way or path to change your career, its just a matter of time and numbers until you find something. Labor demand is at low levels right now so its not that easy to find jobs like 2012 2013.

It was great when I started in the 80's but the business has changed dramatically between digitization, ageism and changing corporate practices and I gave it up a few years ago. Commercial art felt stale, calcified and unfulfilling. I now work as a jeep tour guide and it's great because I'm outside and talking to people rather than sitting at a computer all hours. I'm working toward a residential contractor certificate to hopefully apply my creativity in another way. Ain't easy, tho, blazing new trails in life.

Joe Rogan often seems perplexed at the poor state of American health. I think a lot of it is tied to awful work life balance, being underpaid, and time spent trying to get ahead instead of fitness or even neglected mental health goals. Otherwise, one take away from Kyle is he does his 'office' time for show prep, but is able to get out for recreation. honestly though. despite my attempts to get skills. sometimes i feel like i dont have the right skills or someone will do it better than i do. i am currently workinh on my environmental science. whether that will get me a job. i dont know. originally i attempted to get a bs in psychology after getting an AAT but i decided to switch. 1. I am worried about my student debt I am about to get. 2. I am not getting the connections I need. 3. I have food service experience and 1 psych experience. 4. Attempted to work at Petco or Petsmart to get animal related experience but god forbid that I get hired.

I compare it to the strict Catholic School attended the 1970's. Basic human rights stop at the door. Not just the staff that is disrespected and abused also the residents are viewed as a warm body. The entire industry is evil.

As a farmer I can tell you that the farming industry is a very hard demanding job where you are exposed to the sun, pesticides, herbicides, nemacides, fungicides, fertilizers 90+ hour work weeks many months of the year, you dont see your family as much as you would like, people acuse of being government subsidized when knowing nothing about that subject, your livelihood is at the complete mercy of the weather which we have no control over. Forced to use watering practices that are bad for the environment but with no other option you try to ignore it while at the same time having regulations that do nothing but make things harder but do nothing to protect the environment we live in. The paper work and ffa office visits and the loans and equipment providers all a pain with many having low credit access and the only way to make money is to sell crop futures unless you have done well and have a large amount of cash on hand. Not to mention the suicide rate which I believe is 3 times higher than the average person in the US alone due to the stress and the ultimate shame of potentially ruining a long family legacy. Farming isn’t freedom. It’s a fantasy

My husband is disabled, I have a 3 year old. I live just outside Boston and I work at a major university as a staff member. So not only am I unable to save, I can’t even afford the health insurance they offer. I wouldn’t be able to pay my rent if I got the insurance. Plus, I’m working with full professors, post docs, people with 2 & 3 masters degrees so they’re all making 6 figure salaries & I have to muck in with that every day. It makes me want to die. One good thing is I can get a free education but what is that get me? Like I’ll be able to afford a house all of a sudden if I get more degrees?! Sucks. I used to love my job. It depends on who the boss is & how comfortable they are getting the know the real you. And of course they’re not. They have their own problems

not that you havent already thought about this, but try to invest whatever you can to a freelancing job. Something like 3D animation makes you alot of money ($100 per gig or more). it wont make consistant cash but if it does you can quit your current job. If it doesnr you can switch to a different freelancing position.

It's what outsourcing does. We are given the product but don't have the making or growing of the product. Outsourcing has been done to us. Even food production, with us all concentrated in suburbs and cities, bereft of the growing, I reckon. It's all by design. We didn't choose this. And being utterly hooked on foreign oil !! Did we choose that ?!! Nope. Done by design. The people high above known they can manipulate conditions and herd the population along. Make it look like we chose the course - or the momentum of the economy determined it. But it's by design. They are heading for when they herded us off a cliff - when oil is suddenly and completely turned off and we don't have a leg to stand on.

When your brain is on full overdrive 16 a day 6 days a week, that’s at a level of mental exhaustion. I had to take a moment and breath, because it to every cell in my body not to unleash on him. I didn’t have the energy. Why do men think, if you are not working with a freakin jack hammer, you are not allowed to be exhausted?

Maybe farmers are happier people because this shit is in our blood since the bronze age. I mean, is our mind and body wired to work a 9 to 5 in a small cubicle, working towards impossible dealines and, whenever you exit outside, all you can hear is the honking of cars and the smell of fuel in the air? Don't think so.
In conclusion, we should respect the earth we live in, because earth will survive even without us.

For instance, I hear people complain about being a server in a restaurant all the time, but I actually love it. The only thing that has me not doing it currently is the unlivable wage and often exploited labor.

Part of being a cog in a system. Wrap your head around this people we as an animal species invented trade then we began to enforce that trade as socially mandatory requirement. Just so you can eat sleep and live comfortably and safely. I had a shity job I started at 19 until I was 20 then I went to work for other places so forth on. First job sucked second job sucked third job sucked. But all the while I understood it will never go away until people start pushing the idea that work is our invention we can utilize it or we can shelf it. 🤷‍♂️ So will mandatory work ever go away or will human beings continue to enjoy their enslavement to their own inventions and invented ideology that they love holding ourselves down with.
