I woke up thinking I haven't pissed off enough Glock fans so in the video we are torture testing a Glock 19 gen. 3 head to head with a Sig Sauer P320. This is for entertainment purposes so don't take it too personal. I get it, you like your Glock, it's a fine pistol. Just don't let it get dirty... Big thanks to JX Tactical for sponsoring this video!
I like your videos, because of your jokes on Glock. Glock is an overpriced, overhyped, overstated piece of crap. The fact guns and ammo had a Taurus match Glock bullet for bullet says there are plenty of options that are cheaper and just as reliable. After all, all pistols use Browning-designed systems in one form or another. Thank you.
MY guess is Gaston did his homework almost 50 years ago and the Austrian military AND THE WORLD has reaped the rewards from THE Glock. sig is JUST NOW making a pistol that ‘can’ beat-out A used G19. It’s all about perspective and this is just ANOTHER attempt at making a vid but I get it..you’re in the Yt business for getting views. No biggy. No butt-hurt here..
My boss had a slow water leak in his house that dripped on a small safe and ruined a glock 19 he had in it. Apparently the gun sat in water for a very long time. The front 1/3 of the slide was rusted so bad it fused to the barrel. He took to gun store that told him it would cost almost as much as a new gun to fix it so he just gave it to me. I used a wire wheel to clean off the rust and a pipe/hammer to break the slide free. Took it apart, cleaned off all the rust, replaced the recoil spring and the sights. Put $49.00 into it and it runs perfect now.
I remember years ago reading a story of a diver that found a Glock 26 laying at the bottom of the ocean where he was diving. Pretty much the same thing as yours. He knocked off the little bit of rust (this was an older one when they still used the tenifer process so they were MUCH more rust resistant than the newer ones), replaced all the springs and untreated metal parts that were badly rusted and it worked fine.
The Sig definitely had more problems early on in the test but prevailed towards the end. In conclusion, both pistols performed beyond the standards anyone would need (including the military).
"including the military" you know military goes to lowest bidder when you see "Military Grade" i suggest running far. My P320 is already rusting the mag and the front of the slide will never buy another its like it was made with pot metal never had a glock rust without touching water like my Sig. I really liked it 2
I like these torture test videos. They’re entertaining and they do offer some value in showing the reliability of platforms. Yes, the circumstances are a bit unrealistic, but it’s still interesting to see what platforms will push through unrealistic conditions. What I’ve learned watching videos like this is that no gun is exempt from failure, and that there are a lot of good options on the market from old to new designs. At the end of the day whether you go with sig, glock, hk, cz, beretta, etc. etc. it doesn’t matter. Just pick something that you like and train with it. Also, that Texas heat is no joke lol
I enjoy these torture tests. It’s good to see what will absolutely shut your gun down. The big takeaway for me is that I’m most likely never going to be shooting a gun in a real scenario under these conditions, but it’s still good to take note that even guns with a great reliability record (like the Glock and Sig) can and will malfunction when placed into certain situations.
@@oleboy7615 True. In a real life scenario you will be doing your best to *avoid* these kinds of situations and protecting your firearms from looking and functioning in that condition... But the value of these tests are to show 2 things: 1) How will your weapon system function if Murphy's Law keeps kicking your ass. 2) How tough and reliable those weapon systems will be under conventional use and mild neglect, if they can endure this EXTREME neglect.
@@SirMattomaton I mean this is a sample set of 1 each per gun model lol. In order to come close to determining that you would need thousands of samples and also to standardize the mud and rocks that go into each so one isn't getting dirt that is more soft or something. This video is just click bait basically.
honestly most guns will malfunction if tortured like this because this is not what it means to be reliable if your careless with your product like this obviously it will break, Reliable especially on guns mainly means will it work even if neglected as in not cleaning, dropping, just common mistakes that is likely to happen honestly its kind of annoying that people leave the slide locked to the rear or dust covers open cuz it defeats the purpose of having those features in the first place then people wonder why their gun doesnt work anymore when you removed the 1 safety feature to prevent such malfunction overall these guns would run fine if the slide wasnt left open
Both are fine guns. I put over 10,000 rounds on a P320 when they first come out without a hitch. But I carry a Gen 5 G19. You can torture test any gun to the point it will not run. For me the question is,… how easy is it to FULLY disassemble a nonfunctional gun and clean it in the field. IMO that FCU on that Sig is considerably more complicated than the trigger bar/connector of the Glock. Not hammering on Sig, I bought my daughter a P320. Just my 2 cents. 💪🇺🇸
Yeah, I think more highly of a gun that's easier to do a detailed strip on. I also have both gen 3 and gen 5 glocks and a few P320 and even a few P250 which is where the P320 gets it's engineering roots from. The glocks are the easiest to take every single part out of. The P250 is in second place and the P320 comes in 3rd.
That's why i stick to glock and hellcat, my lonewolf spyderco w/punch-pin can fully disassemble them in under a minute. P320 isn't bad on disassembly, but way too big to ccw(plus the barrel bumps your junk)
I have to disagree on the 320 being more complicated to disassemble. No tools are needed to take the FCU out of the gun. Glock you need pin punches and a hammer. To further breakdown the FCU curved needle nose pliers and a pin puch help but are not required.
My Glock 43X is the first Glock I’ve owned, and the P320 was the first sig I’ve owned. Honestly love both guns, and have never had a issue with either one. I loved the grip angle on my 320, but as a full size I had trouble concealed carrying it. That’s why I tried the 43X I have now. I do really love the grip on the 43X though.

Considering the founders understood that power corrupts, and just defeated a tyrannical government, there is no plausibility that they had written into the supreme law of the land that the federal government (which is corruptible) has the ability to "REGULATE" the right of the people to keep and bear arms. Pretty simple really.
I have a number of Sig handguns and although I don't toss my weapon in the dirt and mud, in the windy desert I get plenty of sand in the slide. The only problems I have is what you experienced in this video with the slide occasionally not returning fully into battery. I do find that it seems to impact them more when they are new, after a few thousand rounds through the gun I rarely experience this even at a particularly windy morning in the Nevada desert for a match.
I was looking to upgrade from S&W into something else. After reading and researching for weeks, I came down to Sig and Glock. I just want something that’s going to work and can withstand normal wear and tear. This video really helped in my decision making. Thanks!!! Keep up the great work!!!!
@@lucius3345 taking my butget into account and availability I went with a Glock 45. After about 700 rounds so far, I haven’t had any problems whatsoever. Accuracy is amazing on this pistol! I’m averaging about a 2-inch grouping at 30 yards. I was never that good with an S&W 5946.
It is like testing a Red Bull F1 car and a Mercedes F1 car by driving both through the desert and swamps and then choosing one over the other because it handled the swamps and deserts the best, whilst you are going to use it for normal F1 racing. One test like this is not conclusive. It should be repeated at least once or twice more.
@@DN-kz7xl agreed, to base a decision on thIs video only would be ludicrous. I did my homework on various things specially reliability. I also took price, history, and other factors to reach my decision.
Kinda cool that Glock has been compared to the sig 226 for so long but years later is being compared to newer market offerings like the 320. Just puts into perspective how ahead of it’s time the design really was. Both awesome guns. I’d love to have the sig too but I’m happy with my 19 gen 4
Not ahead of it's time at all cz and barretas were superior and sigs are better too only people that say they're just as good are the fanboys that can't prove it
@@jorgesolis9468 never said it was just as good. Just said it was cool that it’s been compared to guns of the past and present. It was absolutely ahead of its time. The same design from the 1980s is being talked about in 2022 granted there have been fairly minimal changes. Baretta and sig offerings almost always have been compared to Glock because it’s sort of the gold standard(triggered). I don’t have to be a fanboy to make an observation.
@@wesleyfrix7979 theres gold standard and then there's bare minimum theres abreaspn many " glock killers" are around it was ahead of its time how it's like the 1911
I used to have a G34 in 9mm and a G41 in 45 ACP for sport shooting. Replaced the G41 against a 1911-modell because it promised more accuracy in static disciplines. Yes, the 1911 gives me some more rings at the range, but it is not that gain you would expect according to price, as the price of the 1911 was more than threetimes that of the G41. Additionally reliability of the G41 was outstanding. Maybe 1 failure by 1000 rounds, no matter what ammo was feeded. My highly sophisticated super precise 1911 is very prone to jams (stove pipes and double feed) and takes nothing else than full metall jacket round balls
I own both a Glock 19 and a p320 xcarry and love both. Even with the slight stress test it's nice to see the p320 shine after a little water good info to have for sure
Once you get gritty/sandy water into the slide every handgun I've tested is basically done or on life support and needs to be taken completely down and cleaned to get it back. This can be done in the field with a Glock with minimal experience and tools. This can NOT be done in the field with just about any other gun.
On paper the gen 3 is the most reliable the 4 was pushed and the 5 just wanted to tell the fan bois not to forget about them…. I have the 3 & 5 I love the 5 finally a Glock you can shoot out the box if you want too…. I have the 320 the 1 and current Gen although Sig doesn’t really ride the gen narrative they just redesign many aspects of the series and either add a different alphabet and or just create a completely new platform and keep making the older sigs for the people that start collecting them….
Fun video thanks! I really like both of these but I'm currently on a Sig (365xl and 320) kick. The Sigs seem to fit me a little better and make it a little easier for me to shoot them well. But Glocks are great, I carried a G26 for a long time.
This was very fun to watch. As a p320 fan i am very pleased to see the glock breaking down and the p320 passing through with relative ease. In defense of the glock and the 320, no matter how "reliable" any gun is, if mud or anything gets in the slide, it will stop it.
Excellent video and test. I have Glocks and a Sig 320X pro and love them all. They’re all very rugged and reliable pistols. There’s so many variables in tests like these you have to just kinda take them with a grain of salt. I’ve seen similar tests where the Glocks come out on top (MAC’s gauntlet comes to mind). It literally could have been something as small as a tiny rock or chunk of sand got in the Glocks disconnecter area and was causing all the trigger issues. These tests can easily go either way that’s why they’re just for fun and to give a general idea how a pistol might work I’m very bad situations. I’m sure much lesser pals would have had failures right from the first test or hell even when they’re clean and right out of the box like my friends piece of garbage Springfield XD (pre XDM model). And this heat is getting ridiculous. Even up here in Pennsylvania it’s been low to mid 90’s and humid as hell which takes the heat index up much higher.
@@markkissel1997 it literally does. Glock has just settled out of court multiple times while sig goes to court and wins. There’s literally a video of a guy shooting himself while the glock is in the holster in appendix position. Happened with a 43x in holster.
I own a G17 and a full size P320. They’re both fine guns, but I’d pick the Glock as my “go to war” gun every time due to it having fewer internal parts and an overall simpler design and function. Fewer things to fail at the wrong time.
That’s a reason that I bought a G17 as it has been around for so long that I can find parts easily. Though Sig is trying to gain the LEO market by offering insane deals to switch.
@@J.Young808 yeah but their issue still stems from the uncorrected issue of their weapons going off without the triggers being pulled. There have been quite a few departments as well as Canadian special forces who have pulled the 320 from issuing because they still can go off when bumped a certain way.
Appreciate you doing this to your guns for the sake of us. Having sold my Glock 19 gen 3 to get my P320c I was very curious to see how they lined up against each other. Thanks again brother stay safe God Bless you and anyone reading this. Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you
These are all worst case scenarios for your gun. Obviously your average person unless thrusted into the apocalypse will probably never find themselves in a situation where there firearm gets this dirty. But if you own either gun you should feel good that your firearm will run in some of the harshest conditions when you need it too.
falling into quick sand I guess is a no. also I hate that I have to sacrifice mud camouflage technique against the predator if i want my guns to work..
& that is why I went and bought one the gun will shoot it’s own shot…. Honestly im a firm believer that it was handled wrong and or a piece of clothing or lent got near the trigger! The P320 Has a very super light trigger it rips….
Let’s be honest. Both are some of the best pistols made for sure. If they can perform this well, I would bet my life on either one. Well, I do daily as I carry a Glock but I would definitely trust a sig just as much.
I agree, the Sig P226 and Glock 19 have the the most historical data taken from across the globe which says the just work and go bang every time you pull the trigger. I would trust either one with my life.
Nah, my Glocks don't go off if bumped a certain way. Before you say it, no..... Issue has not been corrected and there are reports of numerous instances where the firearm still goes off without the trigger being pulled. One happened to a law enforcement officer who had his weapon holstered at a football game in Florida.
@@napalmstickylikeglue but it has been corrected. Has been for a couple years. For one, it was just the p320 that had the issue and the gun had to be dropped on the back plate to potentially discharge. Reason why is because the trigger was so heavy that the momentum would basically pull the trigger when dropped on such a way. Our military just adopted this sig..do you really think they would have done that if the issue wasn’t fixed? No. Absolutely not. Sig put a safety feature in the firearm which is the same thing as the out of battery safety mechanism and it will not fire unless you want it to. Not to mention, they lightened up the trigger. And no, I’m not even a sig guy. I’m a glock nerd. But I do own a few sigs and I promise you, they’re not going off unless I want them to. I didn’t even know people still talked about the p320 issue. Bagnell Law, LLC, Saltz Mongeluzzi & Bendesky, and Gurney Law, PLLC. The complaint asserts claims against the manufacturer for corporate negligence and product liability. They are similar to those filed against Sig Sauer by other officers and agents, some who suffered career-ending gunshot wounds, and civilians against the manufacturer.
Definitely one of the better torture test vids I have seen. For me the takeaway is not that one gun is better than the other but the importance of keeping the FOD out of your gun and that if it does get fouled, it needs to be something that is easy to disassemble to clean it so it can be restored to functioning condition. It's that last point that has turned me off from revolvers.
@@ChochaHair In general they are hard to clean if you have ingress of particulates into the mechanism. The Ruger DA revolvers and some Dan Wesson revolvers (Model 44 and derivatives) are easier to clean internally, but poking around in the innards of a S&W, Taurus, Colt, etc is not advisable for the untrained and it is certainly not a field operation to disassemble the internal mechanism. This is one of the key reasons why armies around the world abandoned revolvers as issued weapons.
The only thing I saw that might make a difference is slide mass. I could be wrong but I believe a G17 would have been a better option. I carry a Glock but nothing is perfect about them. I have had good service from them though. Good test regardless and I enjoyed it
I agree with you, the P320 is an incredible gun. I own 10 different variations of that same handgun. I own four different Glocks, they're good for what they are but they didn't perform like the P320 does in combat situations( the Glock pinch).
@@tylerlondon5052 when Glocks were first issued to the military we would get what you called a Glock pinch from the first and second gen. It's when the slide comes back and your hand gets pinched by the slide in between the frame in the slide.
Lol didn’t perform like the sigs did in combat? Glocks have the best track record of any handgun in both LE and military. Whatever you are smoking must be some good shit. Don’t be mad at Glock for being the better handgun.
@@9770G Glocks do not have the best track record, my trigger broke the slide catch broke I would get Glock pinch if I wasn't wearing my combat gloves and the weight didn't hold the barrel down like the Sig. I love sigs but I’m still not quite ready to make them my edc just cause of some of the early safety issues they had. I believe that they probably fixed it but still…. Call me superstitious but it doesn’t feel right appendix carrying something even if there’s a 0.0001% chance there’s a safety issue.
@@Patrick_Bateman____ just having fun with you man. The Sigs are good to go. They were technically good to go before the safety recall because they passed all military drop tests. Once you went above and beyond those drop test requirements is where the issue arose from. It's really a situation where it would be next to impossible like odds to have a civilian conceal carrying to drop a pistol from that height. Hence why it's a "voluntary" recall and not a "safety" recall because the pistol was drop safe. Now current models are just extra extra drop safe.
@@MossyOakFreak I got you man haha It wasn’t the unrealistic drop safety experiments a bunch of people did that made me uneasy. That was a factor for sure but it was mostly the handful of similar stories of p320’s discharging in holsters. Now…. at a minimum at least one of those was negligence and not an actual safety issue (maybe all incidents were) but still enough to make me feel a little weird about it. I’ll reiterate it’s mostly superstition on my end. I believe that they’re probably fine. That being said that’s not something that ever crosses my mind with stock Glocks. To be clear I’m not some Glock elitist lol there’s a lot of categories I prefer sig over Glock.
P320s are generally more reliable than Glocks when it comes to environment factors. However sig is continuously innovating and improving it’s design which hasn’t come without it’s problems. The newer p320 is even more improved and better to shoot than older ones. Glocks fan boys will deny that to the grave. Both are just as capable. Can’t really go wrong with either. I love them both.
Good test 👍🏻. It would be cool to see this type of test done with +P ammo or with a higher energy round like 40s&w and 357sig (perhaps 10mm but that would be a bigger frame gun). With more energy running the slide it might just solve a lot of these out of battery malfunctions.
More energy could also cause more wear and tear on the dirty gun. The dirt, sand and pebbles smacking in and around the 9mm gun when being shot might not be enough force to break something, but with the extra force and speed in a 357 sig or 10mm gun something might break. I guess it's a double edged sword. It might help or it might hurt.
My edc is a Glock 19 g4 but I have a couple sigs as well and wondered what would happen if I tortured tested them against each other so you did the work for me lol.My ego isn’t hurt but it definitely gives you a different perspective on what a duty gun may encounter vs edc that only gets sweat on it .Great video brother.
@@cjohnson9211 Yeah one is claiming that the gun went off by itself. Impossible for that to happen. They want money and when a cop has a accident with a gun they have to blame something besides themselves. Human error is to blame for all of theses. You watch!!

Good testing. Would've liked to have seen you pull the slide off the Glock to see if there was something jammed in between the trigger bar and the frame (as tends to be the case when the trigger won't reset or becomes very stiff). Not saying that gives it a pass, but would like to know what caused the issues.
I can’t trust sig in general. Friend had a p365 sub compact and that thing jammed straight out of the box. No amount of cleaning/ lubing fixed the issues.

so my friend was there to do the testing and said both did an amazing job. He said the reason sig won the contract was because there bid was lower and glock didnt want to lower there bid. Now is this true not sure but he wasnt the only person that I know that had knowledge of the bids and I was told the same thing.
Both the Sig and Glock performed well in reliability. Sig beat Glock slightly in ergonomics and had a much better ammo package according to the GAO report, so Sig did beat Glock ever so slightly in the trials. Price was the ultimate main discriminator, but the main reason was simply that Sig was slightly ahead in the technical evaluation while having a much cheaper price, so there’s not much reason to pick the more expensive option when it didn’t offer any benefits to justify that premium.
The Glock & SIG are pretty much equal in the sand, mud, and dirt tests - _reliability._ *_Glock Wins Here_* The Glock shines in the cleaning section = total disassembly & reassembly cleaning - The Glock with it's ease of disassembly, fewer parts, and simple gunsmithing is a joy to clean. - The SIG P320 series are much harder to disassemble & reassemble due to very small springs, many small parts, and overall complicated internal design.

I remember being impressed at how well the 1911 performed vs. the Glock, so this'll be interesting. Though at the same time, I know a lot of people speculated that part of why the 1911 did well was being .45ACP which had more power to blow through stuff while the Glock was 9mm. Since the P320 is also 9mm, will be interesting to see how it does. Of course, this just proves that .45ACP > 9mm. EDIT: Yeah, seems like the P320 didn't have enough oomph to fully close the slide, so you assisted the slide forward every shot for some runs. Makes me wonder if a stronger .45ACP spring could help better, or even the new 10mm P320. Meanwhile, seems like the Glock's Achilles Heel was the trigger mechanism, as I recall the trigger mechanism seized up in the 1911 vs. Glock torture test.
@@TexasPlinking Oh, of course, which is why I found the test still fair due to using the calibers associated with each platform. lol But it does show the benefits of the .45ACP caliber, as well. I recall from Military Arms Channel that 9mm Glocks tend to be the most susceptible to limpwrist malfunctions whereas the .40 and .45s are less so due to that extra oomph. Whereas he could get the 9mm Glock to malfunction practically on command, it usually only occurred once or twice a magazine with the higher caliber polymer pistols.
@@TheLegoJoker I think it's actually the stronger recoil spring going forward that helped, unless the rounds didn't have enough power to push the slide all the way back, at which point a higher recoiling round might help. I do know Larry Vickers said when he was in Delta Force, they did some tests with fine sand on various .45ACP handguns. The HK USP performed the best, because HK. The second best performing was actually a fancy 1911 over the GI 1911. Typically, people thought a looser 1911 would be more reliable, but the main reason the fancy 1911 performed better was because it had a brand new, stiffer, higher pound spring and therefore could brute force past stuff more while going back forward. Glock 21 performed the worst, btw. lol
As some have mentioned already, that's definitely a gen 4 glock 19, not a gen 3. The gen 4 19 has pretty much been known as the worst glock generation. I know that my gen 4 19 wasn't super reliable, so I got rid of it a long time ago. There's a reason that I only have a gen 3 and a gen 5 now 😂. Honestly, my hangup with the sig isn't the company, just that the 320s are just one of the ugliest guns on the market. What in the living hell are you even talking about? The only issues that the Glock gen 4 had was when they first came out. Just like almost every single new model or new firearm. They rectified it quickly and there hasn't been an issue since. I have owned 6 Glock 19 Gen 4's throughout the years. Fired countless rounds through them. Did countless training courses. Never have had an issue. So it sounds like it's something you were doing wrong. Most likely not maintaining it properly or limp wristing....
@@napalmstickylikeglue right, I'm surely limp-wristing. Thousands of rounds through multiple generations of glocks, but sure, I was limp-wristing the gen 4. Maybe don't be a Richard right out the gate, eh? 😉

I wouldn’t base your opinion on one video. There are dozens of these videos on RUclips with mixed results. Best way is to go shoot both and see which one you prefer. I like Glock because they are incredibly simple and they have a very low bore axis. Sigs are great pistols for their modularity, but if you’re not going to change grip modules that doesn’t make much of a difference. My glock model 45 (9mm) has over 5,000 rounds through it. Mostly cheap steel case. Never malfunctioned. Shoot both. Decide on which is better for you. They are both great options.
@@damon323 Interesting take. I have reloaded thousands of rounds in the past. Personally, it's not quite worth the time it takes. You may save money, but you invest time. Steel case runs well in my guns and you can get it very cheap. I'm not interested in reloading anymore. The way I see it, if I save time and money by shooting steel case ammo, I will have more time and money for training courses. I view training as the real priority here.
@@DeafeningPew I’m going to apologize first because I sounded a little condescending, so I’m sorry. Your method sounds like a good compromise to train and shoot more. If you get back in to reloading, check out a Dillon XL750 progressive. I can knock out a case of 9mm in 2 hours
I bet you a S&W M&P2.0 would preform as well as the P320.
Thank you.
One criticism, that's a Glock 19 gen4 not a gen3... haha. Just giving you a bit of grief TP, thanks for the video bro.
Budget gun torture tests? Or a torture test Canick, Sig, Glock, S&W, Beretta? Maybe something along those lines
That’s why waterproofing is important for storage.
That's insane. Glad I have one. Might get 2 after hearing that.

In conclusion, both pistols performed beyond the standards anyone would need (including the military).
exactly they did about the same
would a gen 5 perform better?
"including the military" you know military goes to lowest bidder when you see "Military Grade" i suggest running far.
"no gun is exempt from failure"
Except the M&P.
These tests are tantamount to taking a Porsche 350GT off road to determine how well it will run. They’re ridiculously stupid.
@@oleboy7615 True. In a real life scenario you will be doing your best to *avoid* these kinds of situations and protecting your firearms from looking and functioning in that condition... But the value of these tests are to show 2 things:
1) How will your weapon system function if Murphy's Law keeps kicking your ass.
2) How tough and reliable those weapon systems will be under conventional use and mild neglect, if they can endure this EXTREME neglect.
@@SirMattomaton These tests are totally unnecessary to determine those two things.
Happy with my Sig. But i am pretty sure Glock is no less reliable than p320. Great video.
P320 isn't bad on disassembly, but way too big to ccw(plus the barrel bumps your junk)
exactly why a glock is my go to. I carry others but glock would be my one gun.
Say it louder for all the folks in the back still screeching about how the P320’s will discharge themselves by just lookin at em🤣🙄

You’re supposed to clean them when they’re new because when shipped they put wax on the guns. Wax will prevent returning to battery

Additionally reliability of the G41 was outstanding. Maybe 1 failure by 1000 rounds, no matter what ammo was feeded.

@@napalmstickylikeglue but it has been corrected. Has been for a couple years. For one, it was just the p320 that had the issue and the gun had to be dropped on the back plate to potentially discharge. Revolvers are hard to clean?
@@ChochaHair In general they are hard to clean if you have ingress of particulates into the mechanism. The Ruger DA revolvers and some Dan Wesson revolvers (Model 44 and derivatives) are easier to clean internally, but poking around in the innards of a S&W, Taurus, Colt, etc is not advisable for the untrained and it is certainly not a field operation to disassemble the internal mechanism. It wasn’t the unrealistic drop safety experiments a bunch of people did that made me uneasy. That was a factor for sure but it was mostly the handful of similar stories of p320’s discharging in holsters.
How many rounds had each gun had through it prior to the test?
Seeing the thumbnail I thought "wow those are really good camos" and then I read the title... oh.
Good test 👍🏻. It would be cool to see this type of test done with +P ammo or with a higher energy round like 40s&w and 357sig (perhaps 10mm but that would be a bigger frame gun). With more energy running the slide it might just solve a lot of these out of battery malfunctions.
I was thinking the same, more energy to get that slide moving
More energy could also cause more wear and tear on the dirty gun. The dirt, sand and pebbles smacking in and around the 9mm gun when being shot might not be enough force to break something, but with the extra force and speed in a 357 sig or 10mm gun something might break. I guess it's a double edged sword. It might help or it might hurt.

Fun fact: Glock has NEVER been recalled. Sig? What about you? teeheehee
I’ll stay with the Glock!
The reason I don’t like glock is the ergonomic of the grip angle
My biggest surprise is "THERE'S WATER IN TEXAS" I still vote for Glock myself. Nice test 👍
Barley any!
I live in central texas (bosque county) right next to the largest river in the state, kinda near lake Whitney. Its all rock, trees, annoying spikey grass, and water.
I don't know how you're surprised there's water in Texas
You're thinking of Arizona

Your test missed the most important test….the drop test 😂😂😂
Good testing.
Would've liked to have seen you pull the slide off the Glock to see if there was something jammed in between the trigger bar and the frame (as tends to be the case when the trigger won't reset or becomes very stiff). Not saying that gives it a pass, but would like to know what caused the issues.
Exactly my thoughts. Quick tap to get the connector freed up and that glock would run fine again.
I gotta disagree. This "test" was as useless as it gets.
Amazing video as always. But one day I think you should do 2 videos:
1. Make a video with DemolitionRanch
And 2. Show and shoot every gun you own
I can’t trust sig in general. Friend had a p365 sub compact and that thing jammed straight out of the box. No amount of cleaning/ lubing fixed the issues.
Says a lot that the 19 been thru torture already
The Glock is clearly the superior handgun.

It's almost as if they were designed NOT to get insanely dirty. Neat.
It’s almost as if I knew that, and this video was to find which gun would do better. Sorry it wasn’t your Glock
@@TexasPlinking hahahahaha. Got em
@@TexasPlinking it didn't actually. All your "experiment" showed was that you were able to get glock dirtier than sig. Repeat it thousands of times to get any useful data. The video is nothing but a clickbait.
@@TexasPlinking yet it was the Sig early on in the test with the seized up slide that you couldn't rack open. You even had to halt the entire test to fix the problem.
Personally I prefer the Sig, I own the X carry variant. I also own a Glock 30. Both the 320 and G19 were the finalists in the US army trials and I think the danish army just adopted the 320. So, both guns under normal conditions are super duty reliable.
How often do you shoot them? They have different ergonomics and it seems it would manifest at the range unless you don’t shoot much? I tried the glock but the grip angle just kills my wrist
@@Fordgroup00 well I have about 1000-1200 of the Sig. Not one failure. I getting to the 400 mark on the Glock 30 (not a failure either) but I shoot the Sig better and 9mm is cheaper to practice with so that’s my carry gun. Also yes, the x carry fits my hand like it was made for it, plus it has a flat trigger that find superior to the Glocks and the standard P320

Love my 320's
M17 against the 1911 would be a fun one. I second that idea, highly!
In the military test I think the Sig did the best in most rounds fired without a stoppage
so my friend was there to do the testing and said both did an amazing job. He said the reason sig won the contract was because there bid was lower and glock didnt want to lower there bid. Now is this true not sure but he wasnt the only person that I know that had knowledge of the bids and I was told the same thing.
Yeah they definitely performed the same. It was about price. Special operations still prefer their Glock 19s.
The Glock & SIG are pretty much equal in the sand, mud, and dirt tests - _reliability._
*_Glock Wins Here_*
The Glock shines in the cleaning section = total disassembly & reassembly cleaning
- The Glock with it's ease of disassembly, fewer parts, and simple gunsmithing is a joy to clean.
- The SIG P320 series are much harder to disassemble & reassemble due to very small springs, many small parts, and overall complicated internal design.
The P320 allows you to almost completely change your firearm with its modularity

If guns like the VP9, P10C, FN 509, M&P had all been created in the 80s and had the track record, somehow I don’t believe Glocks would be as popular..the VP9 has only been out since 2014 and it too has quite a military/police usage record..the P320 with its young age has been adopted by the US army, Danish military, and is in use with several US police departments as well

Right, but we all associate 1911s as .45 and Glocks as 9mm. So that’s how I run the test, people can cry about it all they want haha
@@TexasPlinking Oh, of course, which is why I found the test still fair due to using the calibers associated with each platform. lol
But it does show the benefits of the .45ACP caliber, as well.
@@gameragodzilla I was wondering the same thing, and it made me wonder if both guns would have performed better with 124gr or 147gr 9mm.
Glock 21 performed the worst, btw. lol
.45 has the (stopping) power to cut through coked up Moro Warriors in the Philippines and dirt!
Get an Arex 01S gautlet king. Mine has about 5K rounds through it and still going strong.
I wouldn't have one unless it was given to me/I won it and then I'd probably sell it to fund something else haha
are saying this guy couldn't read whats on the slide but yet we're giving him all this credibility?
@@Tom-cp6yj he's already mentioned that he didn't realize it was a gen 4 lol
@@Tom-cp6yj You can clearly see the groove on the backstrap of the glock where the grip extenders sit. The gen 3 glocks don't have that groove.

I totally changed my mind on my next carry gun..!! I’m going Sig P320 now.
Great video.
@@DeafeningPew You don’t deserve a Sig or Glock if you mostly shoot steel cased ammo😛 lol! I suggest you reload if money is that tight.
