I was a USAF SP in the mid 70's. Our sidearm was a .38 cal. 6 shot Revolver. The ammo they gave us would rattle down the barrel. The military has come a long way. A funny story, I was guarding a camouflaged C-130, it was about three AM when a bus pulled up to my gate, very unusual for that early, so I decided to have a look inside. I walked up the steps and when I turned I saw the bus was completely full of Green Berets, with all their exotic weapons. To their credit, no one laughed at my .38 revolver.

Bruh and at one point the dude closest to the camera muzzle flashed his partner and kept his finger on the trigger even while in the low ready. 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️
From the other side of the world and with 46 yrs in our military (now retired) I could not agree more. The techniques applied were pretty shocking, although in fairness I doubt our military would have faired better. I think it is pretty common that military training around the world do not prioritize handgun shooting except maybe special forces.
I was in the ARMY when they were transitioning from the .45 to the 9mm. I remember hearing a few complaining that even though it was a little bit more accurate and the mag held more bullets, they would prefer the .45 in a wartime situation. And that was then.
Lets be clear, the infantry will be using the M4 rifles, not their pistol as their go-to. Besides, the M9 was still an excellent choice that any soldier with any level of expertise will be fully capable of using. So how about we chill now?
This pistol has a remarkable resemblance to the Sig 226. I was in law enforcement in the ‘80’s and everyone wanted the Glock. It didn’t feel right in my hands, whereas the 226 was a great fit. It’s my go-to to this day.
After 20yrs Army I have multiple pistols and rifles and taught my son how to sight, shoot, and safety as well as general range "etiquette". My son made it to E5 (Army) last year. His problem is that as an Army mechanic and an NCO his unit seldom trains, almost never does organized PT, and has not been to the qualification range in over a year. New unit this year and received about 1/2 of his issue and was told that he would have to buy what he needed for the field. His soldiers told him it has been like that for a long time. I joined the Army in 83 and most of my senior NCOs were combat Vets. Most of our gear was Vietnam era as were our radios and trucks but we did some type of training every day. PT at 0430 and last formation was at 1800. Some days we would sign out our weapons and carry them around all day just to get used to handling them. It is not the fault of these Soldiers that they cannot handle a weapon properly. It is the fault of the senior leadership.
Served us army 70-78, one tour in Nam. Marksmanship training was very rare. One time in Germany, we went to the range but had no targets. We were told to just put rounds downrange.
@charleswilson7371 as a guards men i have seen some good shooting and bad shooting only in pog units us shooting this bad that's not always true at all
I loved the guy pointing an unfamiliar gun at his buddies even though he thought it empty broke the first rule of firearm safety. ALWAYS POINT DOWN RANGE>
I was in the Army in the late 60s and shot the Colt M1911A1 semi automatic with never a problem. Today I have a custom 5" M1911 clone, shooting .45 ACP +p FMJ. I have shot Glocks and S&W semi autos but still prefer the grip and feel of the classic 1911. The trigger action is smooth and solid, being superior to anything else I've shot. Being a single stack magazine with a slim frame, the 1911 not only fits well in your hand but it conceals well in a shoulder or IWB holster. I will admit that the Glocks I've shot are very reliable and surprisingly accurate for me, considering how much I hate their trigger feel. My dream gun would be a long-slide 1911 shooting .45 super.
Carried one in 'Nam. Never failed if I did my part. Later found out it was a virtual antique, a SINGER still in Army hands. I just wish I had it now, what with all the crackpots out there. So I make do with a Springfield Operator. Decent enough but lacks the charm of my old Singer.
I'm with you on the 1911. I do like my Sig SP2022. Very accurate but has a high axis similar to the firearm in this video. High axis=more muzzle flip=slower follow up.
When I went through OSUT in Ft. Benning in 1993, pistol marksmanship consisted of a two-hour class, and maybe 4 mags through a Beretta 92FS? Honestly, that was the bulk of the training. So the shooting mechanics were never real big. It doesn't surprise me to see this, to be honest.
@@airleclair I have my original US Government issue, Berretta 92 FS, I love it and I'll have it until the day I die. The Colt 1911A1 is hell on my wrist, I've broken more times than I can recall. All the fighting and Bullcrap takes it's toll on a body, especially the wrists.
They're still learning. If what the video said was correct, it was the first time any of them shot a pistol, since MPs and Officers usually use pistols; but, now, Team Leaders got issued first, a role that didn't get issued pistols before. Also, the Army uses a crawl-walk-run methodology for training. These new TLs are probably at the "crawl" phase with the pistols. Hopefully, in week 2 or 3, the pistol usage would be much, much better. Finally, this is training footage, not a demonstration. So, yeah, it's OK to look bad, especially when you're learning :)
Billy Ray infantry may not be what you think a “skill” but are you truly this ignorant? The Military offers more than just shooting weapons at bad guys. Jesus. Look it up will ya?
Please take the time to have someone other than a computer narrate your videos from now on. After all the mispronunciations, I would only make it about half way through.
Ken Gray he does it because he just copies a news article and pastes it on a software that creates the voice. Basically ripping off someone else’s work
Yeah I was surprised when my brother cam home from boot camp with a marksman rating on the rifle, but never bothered to teach him how to use a pistol. He couldn't get through two rounds on my Ruger P95 without a malfunction.
Guys, infantry wont teach guys to shoot pistol, is really un used by regular infantry. Even Special forces don't have that much training with them, they are useless for 90% of the operations they face. You will start seeing a major emphasis on handgun manipulation when you are in a Tier 1 unit or a Counter Terrorism unit. They will have all sorts of modern grip and techniques in using them and will be really proficient, but otherwise...It will be like this.
I have not had a great deal of actual military combat experience with the pistol. Used mine exactly once. Had my 1911 in my hand when I ran into(literally) 3 NVA. I was running like hell for one of my squad leaders when a flare popped... and they were right there. I would like to say I charged, but actually I just slammed into the little guy sending him flying. I guess the other two were as surprised as I was and just stood there while I fired from a long range of two or three feet. I saw the first one trying to stand and, by today’s standard, murdered him. They were brave men. I wish I could bring them back to replace some of the assholes running around our cities today. Those few seconds will stay in my mind as long as I live.
Seeing some of the 101st’s initial test firing, the personnel all looked like older, higher ranking, chairborne commandos, wanting the certification on their 201 files and not in the hands of the troops who go out into the field.
I first used Sig Handguns back in the 1980's with the original P226 which in my opinion was one of the finest pistols ever made. In 2017, I transitioned from Glock over to a P320c. That lasted one month. At the 175 round mark, I began having trigger reset failures which were not consistent but progressively got worse. I contacted Sig and the tech I spoke to tried to tell me there was nothing wrong with the pistol and that "I needed to shoot it more and the issue would cease". I told him I was an armorer and that the issue was clearly a problem in the FCU (Fire Control Unit). He stopped arguing with me and sent a RMA shipping tag by email. I got the pistol back within 8 days. The issue? The trigger bar inside the FCU was out of spec which caused the trigger timing to be off. This is a fatal flaw with the P320 FCU design which can rear it's head at any point during the life of the weapon and it can and will render the user defenseless. I have spoken to unit armorers in the US Army who said they have seen the same issue with the M17 and to an alarming degree as well as other issues and they also told me Sig has been very slow to give them support when trying to assess the issues. Looking at how the NJSP had major issues with their Sig P229's and how the FBI's FTU rejected the P320, I am convinced Sig has major QC issues right now. They batch test their guns now whereas in the old days they tested each gun at the J.P. Sauer factory in Germany. Now they build as many guns in a month as they did in a year back in the 80's in Germany. IMO, major difference in quality.
I saw better gun handling, grip, trigger control and marksmanship at my concealed carry class. These guys are supposed to airborne - some of the best in the world. The pistol training in the Army must be terrible.
They are not airborne. Also only officers carry handguns in garrison (only in field too) and MP's, otherwise mostly everyone has little to no training with handguns.
@Marius Pretorius a lot of violent encounters in combat zones are in urban areas where convoys are rolling. Airborne units also use mechanization we arent gonna jump everywhere. Hasnt been a combat jump since rangers took an airfield more than a decade ago. Also 80% of the time is officers only who carry handguns.
5:52 he just flagged his buddy's head. 6:05 nice trigger discipline, thats how you shoot your own. 6:12 i swear to god this guy is going to accidentally kill someone. 9:35 lmao
I noticed that also and just about to comment that but I thought someone else had to notice it and sure enough. I hope that soldier realized he could of blown a hole into his buddies head.
I’m so glad you made this comment. I’m at the 6 minute mark and I just about woke my wife up because I was bouncing around the bed yelling at this dude.... Where is the range safety? I’m embarrassed that they actually showed that!
Damn....that made me jump as well! I was maybe 12-13? I had my head slapped pretty hard one of my first days with a revolver...by my Dad....when I neglected “muzzle control”. I never forgot it...until one day many years later with the M9 at boot camp. Not adequately familiar with a semiautomatic--nervous--I once more got my head slapped again! I’ve never forgot that. I guess, one day, when they issue ray guns, I’ll get slapped on the head once again!
Got an old (circa 1960) military issue Remington Rand 1911, .45 ACP. Built solid, very accurate, and runs like a Rolex. I'd jump over a whole bunch of them boxes of new Sigs to get to it. It eats my 230 grain LRN handloads like M&M's, and drops game in its tracks like a bad habit. For my tax dollars they could have never discontinued its issuance. I have many other handguns in my collection of firearms. Any gun that was good enough to protect our valiant warriors through two world wars, the snow and cold of Korea, and the jungles of Vietnam, is certainly worthy of my respectful carry. Guns N Basses Forever! 🔫 🎸
The first time I fired an Army model 1911 was on a Thai police range. We couldn't hit the side of a barn. The Thai police with their .38 revolvers showed us why if a Thai police officer says "HALT," (in Thai, not English,) you better be screeching to a halt. They don't miss. They appeared to be amused at our ineptitude.
They taught us how to kill very well though, especially with our hands and rifles and knives. I shot expert with the m1 and m11 carbine sharp shooter with the 1911.its the m11 and the 1911 that I loved the most. Those old 1911's were hard to be accurate with and the m11 wanted to walk your arms to the sky .those were the days my friends ,we thought they never end. Soon be 60 years 21d ft Benning GA
@@russscott552 I spent 4 years in the Army in the early 90’s (as an enlisted soldier so no pistol training for me in the Army). Didn’t mean to offend you but anyone that understands modern shooting techniques can look at that video and see based on recoil alone that the soldiers in the video have no idea how to properly grip a pistol which is a clear indicator they were poorly trained. Guess they spent the money on equity, diversity and inclusion training instead.
Hans miller oh my bad, didn't realize muzzle sweeping your entire squad on the firing line and not knowing how to grip a pistol properly was "the real deal" these day.
Hans miller What the hell does that mean ? Is the real deal pussy ass tea cup and saucer grips? Really? Limp wristing is the real deal ? Then the military ought to rethink their real deal training programs. That one sucks.
Agreed! They are not experts and some of them probably is the first time shooting a handgun. But dose soldiers are our young daughters and sons learning how to fight and defend the constitution and our American way of life. So give them a chance. Come on from pencil and notebooks to pistols.
My first issue pistol in the Army was an old worn out 1911A1...that I loved. Years later I carried an M9 on two deployments. Over 22 years of Army...they never had anybody to train me how to shoot a pistol...that I had to learn in civilian life and then helped to train Soldiers. For the most part, most of those in the Army will NEVER EVER use a pistol to win a battle, it's more of a decoration and it really doesn't matter what they issue. But I bought myself a M17, and I think it is one of the best pistols ever made.
It can happen. I've sometimes focused so much on sight picture that I don't realize my gun was locked open. If your sights are lined up, you might not immediately notice the position of the slide.
Maybe the Army can figure out a way to attach a bayonet to this pistol. They may as well, because none of these soldiers are going to hit their targets.
In the hands of someone that can train extensively, SIG M18 can be effective, despite the absurd muzzle jump...The people in this clip will never fire it enough to become combat effective with it. The vast majority of people that will carry it, will probably put less than 200 rounds trough it in a whole year. It is not a bad pistol. It is a demanding pistol that necessitates extensive training, something US military does not offer unless you are part of the elite.
Funny pistols jump when firing, didn’t experience any excessive recoil for an average 9mm. One question I have for ya. Does your AR bruise your shoulder?
My husband was a Marine in the 1970's & saw an old Marine at the Mess hall that was a Pvt. E-1. When he asked what his story was, he was told he was an E-8, but was busted down to Pvt. when he was unloading his 1911 in the Co. office & it went off, killing another Marine. That soldier at 6:00 was pointing his pistol directly at the man to his left when reloading, which reminded me of the incident at Camp LeJeune in 1975.
As someone who took basic training as a draftee with the 101 First Airborne Infantry (Baker Company) at Fort Jackson, South Carolina in January, 1955, and fired expert (one of three) on the Garand M-1 during my rotation, I can say that this film clip is a complete piece of crap. Those guys are pulling the trigger before they get a good sight picture and wasting ammo. What has happened to my old brown shoe Army? Sign of the times.
your training was incomplete. this is a sidearm, intended for close combat. you're firing at human-sized objects within mere meters, not range targets 200 meters or more away. the difference, for example, between a sniper and a wild west shootout. that's why pistol training emphasizes time of discharge, not accuracy at range.
I was in from 07 to 11, did a tour in in OIF. Never fired the Beretta once. Only officers and MPs carried the sidearm. Not a lot of us get proper hangun training anymore.

@@edstrohmeier7494 Yeah, but those were men we trained. Think it shows no matter the President, the military has its issues. Why we need to get better soldiers in, versus just giving them more ammo.
Amen to that. One of my Colt 1911s was made in 1932 and my International Harvester 1911 made in 1943. Both still working fine. In another 100 years theyll still be running when those plastic guns have decomposed into dust. And nothing can stand a hit with Hornady 230g XTP +P.

I was in English Army in the late '50's. we were still issued with the SMLE .303. Then the Mk 4's. and the Stirling Sub Machine gun. (Water pipe. spring, and nail. Safest place my corporal told me to stand. was directly in front of it. It was designed to Spray lead in an area. .We were good at 300. 600, and 900yds. everywhere in between was pot luck. We used to go backwards at times to get right distance to hit targets.
I remember boot camp and M16 training. I had been shooting rifles most of my life before that. However, being a new recruit you try too hard to do it right. Shooting to put food on the table , does not compare to shooting to stay alive. These guys, some of which had never shot anything other than dice, have a learning curve to deal with. @@ratbatnufftime2861 because they have been made to think guns are bad by the Liberals. I was raised in a home with loaded weapons and knew they were. I started teaching both of my sons at 4, now working on the grandkids. Respect them, teach them how to survive and defend themselves. But by removing the old taboo of don't you touch that also removes the want and they will sneak around to touch what is forbidden. I slept with a loaded pistol under my pillow and both knew but not once did either sneak around or feel the need to but they also never messed with one. I started with a little 410 because I know it's not going to kick. I taught them because we lived in a area that the 2 city vehicles took 30 minutes minimum and they were the backup for the sheriff department and depending on what area of the county it could take 45 minutes to over a hour if I had to call. I had a couple of deputies I knew pretty good and they ask did I have protection and if I didn't go the next day and make sure I did. I did and do, from pistols, rifles, and shotguns all up loaded but they also said something to make me understand I had to teach them young. They said what if you are asleep and the house broken into the main reason for making sure I had at least one. I laid there one night thinking, what if? What if I didn't survive, what was going to happen to my kids? Would they be killed, taken and God knows what they would do to them. No, I wanted them to have every chance fighting to survive. This is why I taught them. Gradually moved up to bigger, stronger firearms, taught them how to brace so it didn't kick them down, to load and unload and how to work together helping each other. I wish people would stop making firearms taboo because when you do, bad accidents can and do happen.

I love our Country and respect our Military, but I have to admit that some of the people in this video looked a little lost when handling their pistols. In my humble, non fanboy opinion, I feel like Glock would have been a better choice, very durable and offers thought free operation. If you can operate a seatbelt, you can operate a Glock.
Operationally speaking, the sig is almost the same as the Glock. In fact, almost all polymer framed, striker fired pistols are the same. If you can operate a glock, you can operate MOST polymer pistols. The basics are of the upmost importance in both shooting and familiarization.

I don't know how much hand gun shooting you've done but until you are tuned to a new sidearm... you can't tell the slide is locked back looking down the sights. I know when I'm out with my M9 but that's come from instinct and hundreds of rounds of practice. None of these guys in this video have ever touched the p320 before. And its honestly very annoyingly different from the M9.
There are some who are gonna be pissed about it, but it’s true! Most civilian training and ability is light years ahead! Watch the muzzle flip and grip in this video. I think our men and women deserve better training on combat grip and recoil control! Better training will make them more accurate and better survival chances!
@@mikechappell4919 For pistols, you are correct. When it comes to shooting rifles, I don't think any civilian training comes close to military training. Atleast when it comes to the Marine Corp's combat arms units. The problem is that the U.S. military does not respect the handgun. It's considered a weapon of last resort, and not really fit as a war weapon. The military would rather its troops salvage another rifle than resort to using a pistol. The military is going even further to try to remove more pistols from the ranks, and replace them with M4s. The pistol in today's military is mostly just there as a matter of status or ceremony, unless you are an MP or some other field that really needs them. But that's more a matter of U.S. base law enforcement. And the Marines are getting rid of their MPs all together.
My son was an MP when he was in. He told me that the MP’s did a heck of a lot more pistol practice than a regular infantry soldier. I have a P320 no external safety
Infantry are not normally issued sidearms. Senior Enlisted and Commissioned Officers get them mainly and machine gunners. Normal rifleman like myself did not get near handguns.
The standards for range work seem to have declined at the 101st. Some of these soldiers looked as if it were their first time holding a sidearm, let alone having fired one.
I was in the Army from 1977-1980. In my humble opinion, the M1911 was the greatest military pistol ever made. A bunch of sissies decided .45 had too much recoil. If you think this is a problem you have no business joining the Army!
Recoil isn't a matter of manliness its about biomechanics. Soldiers shoot better with 9mm. The size of your round means little when you can't hit your target
Having served as an Army MP for six years in the early seventies while in Europe and the US, I carried a 45 nearly every shift. That was over 45 years ago. We would maybe get to qualify/practice twice a year! This video looked pretty typical of guys that get that much real training.
Consider, 99% of these soldiers have never shot a pistol. You could teach them, but assuming your horrible approach to communication, their shooting is better than your knowledge
Nothing wrong with a teacup grip if it works for you. Not everyone manhandles their grip like it's their boyfriend's penis; some of us have large hands that are naturally inclined to grip from below with the weak hand.
They say this beat the beretta apx but I went with the beretta anyway. Now I hear they wish they chose it over the sig. I made a good choice I guess. And are you telling me these guys aren't trained to hold the gun properly? Cmon this is our military. All of them should have the proper grip on the gun.
Competition for military firearm contracts has always been shady. One that was particularly shady was the one that resulted in the adaptation of the Baretta. Smith and Wesson got the shaft in that one. The military's answer? "It was a clerical error".
They tried to do the same thing to the SP1/AR-15A1,the generals tried to get the Eugene Stoner Rifle tossed away before anyone even had a chance to get a good look at it!!!
Today's S&W M&P's are very good. Few people are reporting any thing that comes close to a dis-qualifier. I've owned many different great guns, and the M&P 2.0 Compact or even the Shield (V1.0) with it's crunchy factory trigger are extremely reliable, accurate pistols. I'm not saying those models should be military issue, but the selection process is rigged, IMO.

The new pistol went into the hands of the elite pencil pushers first in case they need it in a fire fight with the clerks and jerks.
I agree with your observation!! How I hated it everytime the higher ups did that crap to us
The guys in the video are not regular grunts. Remfs most likely.
Oh dear.
Lets be clear, the infantry will be using the M4 rifles, not their pistol as their go-to. Besides, the M9 was still an excellent choice that any soldier with any level of expertise will be fully capable of using. So how about we chill now?

Well this is definitely one of the most cringe worthy things I’ve seen in a while.
I thought this was a video of what our guys thought about this New Pistol! Where are the Interviews?
This pistol has a remarkable resemblance to the Sig 226. I was in law enforcement in the ‘80’s and everyone wanted the Glock. It didn’t feel right in my hands, whereas the 226 was a great fit. It’s my go-to to this day.
Glocks feel awkward in my hands, too.
From 77 to 80 we did a lot of training. The military pay scale for an E4 was $600.00 per month, that's way I left military service.
That is pretty much the whole army. That is why we have the Marine Corp, to get the job done right.
@@bulldog41 Who's in Europe right now?
You can blame Biden for that. Troops have no business being involved. It's Europe's problem.
Served us army 70-78, one tour in Nam. Marksmanship training was very rare. One time in Germany, we went to the range but had no targets. We were told to just put rounds downrange.
My DI would have slapped me silly had I used such poor safety procedures in the range! Pitiful!

“Ever grip a pistol soldier?!!!”
“Sir, NO SIR!”
What do you expect from 4 lieutenants pointing north?
@@airleclair I have my original US Government issue, Berretta 92 FS, I love it and I'll have it until the day I die. The Colt 1911A1 is hell on my wrist, I've broken more times than I can recall. All the fighting and Bullcrap takes it's toll on a body, especially the wrists.

They should be made to practice gripping their guns before they're allowed to hold their sidearms. Let the sergeant watch.

Probably true.
The weapons handling and overall safety in this video is absolutely laughable. The Army needs to step up their pistol training.

Why is the Us army buying foreign guns? No Smiths Springfield's?

They are not airborne. Also only officers carry handguns in garrison (only in field too) and MP's, otherwise mostly everyone has little to no training with handguns.
@Marius Pretorius a lot of violent encounters in combat zones are in urban areas where convoys are rolling. Airborne units also use mechanization we arent gonna jump everywhere.

Recruits…..will be protectors of people. Their job will be tough.
I'll stick with my 92FS thank you.
davsny5 Yup I’ve had mine since 87? Still my home protector
Aman to that -- love my Beretta!
The king of all pistols
Lmaoo 92FS
my thought exactly.. I chose m9a3 over that 320
I didn't hear them say a word about how they liked it..lol
In the military it doesn't matter what you like you use whatever your issued.
Probably another failure like the M-9
@@charleswilson7371 Not sure if you checked recent updates but there's been no big complaints about the M17 & M18. Even torture test videos shown them being quite reliable.
Targets all look intact to me after the group was finished.
I feel so good about my skills now. 😂
Handguns are a secondary weapon and play a minor role in combat, the 1911A1 fit that description well and is good enough for me.
Waste of tax payer money. Three tours in the Middle East and I've never pulled my side arm nor has anyone else in the platoon
bogey2230 better safe than sorry
Tom Gandy You can bet your life on it.
Why were their hands shaking like that?!
Aren’t they used to firing ranges?
New gun
The military is a very diverse organisation. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't filled with gun nuts. A lot of new recruits never fired a gun in their lives before they enlisted.
@@ratbatnufftime2861 yeh and rifle is number 1 😁
@@lisaclark6977 what sickens me about you Americans is that you can no longer have a discussion about anything without getting partisan and demonising liberals. It's just ridiculous at this point. Petty partisan politics is the reason America is being strangled right now by COVID-19, believe it or not.
Wow some of these soldiers are pointing the gun at other soldiers on the line when inserting clips. Maybe more work on weapon control before actual fire.
Rau Kenneth they’re not “clips”, they’re magazines.
They are unloaded . It doesn't matter if the gun is unloaded , on safety , and in a box with a trigger lock engaged . Idiot
Always some moron on the internet to point out how everybody else is doing it wrong. In a fire fight you'd probably be the first to run the other direction pal. I could just hear you now in the middle of shit going sideways. You to your team-mates: Uhh, could you guys please point your weapons in another, safe direction? At the same time 20 Taliban sling 7.62 your way. STFU & GTFO of here.
Always some moron on the internet telling other people their comments are wrong. Should be obvious that pointing a gun at people is not a good idea.
You need some help with your anger if my observation made you so angry. That an s going to get you in big trouble.
Do you really think that the Army is going to have a soldier say anything bad about the pistol?
The handgun skills i just saw from my old unit (well division anyway) made me wanna dig my eyes out with a spoon.
And it doesn't fire if dropped on the back side of the slide, can't say the same about the p320
Operationally speaking, the sig is almost the same as the Glock. In fact, almost all polymer framed, striker fired pistols are the same. If you can operate a glock, you can operate MOST polymer pistols. The basics are of the upmost importance in both shooting and familiarization.
the voiceover is computerized.... will not watch anything with computer voiceover........something wrong with your speaking voice??!
Luke Warmwater No, these frauds just want to make it easier on themselves by copying other news articles and pasting them in text to speech.
watched about 20 seconds....same effort they put in, I put in... leaving the page!
Luke Warmwater well said fella,! I also refuse to listen to computer junk,! 👍👍👏🏻👏🏻🐖
You FULL IDIOT, piss off and don't watch , it seems you are more interested in this voice then in the message man what Idiots are here you are one of them !
Ya robot voice will eventually sound exactly like a human.. It was slightly annoying but the information is there and the voice over only lasts a short period. Its mostly the sounds of shots ringin out OOOOOH RAAAAA !! USA!! NRA, FREEDOMS, FUCK YA!
Holy crap! You need to send these guys to basic handgun shooting school. Right hand shooter , left eye dominate wondering why he’s not hitting shit
As a Drill Sgt for the MP's, Drill of the Year 81/82, Right hand and left eye is the hardest less than 1% of troops are like this pistol is even worse. Anyway that is my two cents worth I did win a case of beer because they bet me I could not get her zeroed in 9 rounds because they write with one hand THEY (DUM ASS PVTS) will also follow that rule JUST ask them they will screw it up 99 times of a hundred
3:27 watching him squeeze the trigger again w/ the slide locked back on an empty mag made my skin crawl
Today's new Army!
Some needed for fighting, some for catching bullets...
It's a known fact that you don't have to be a badass to serve in the military... especially the army 💯😭
New in his hand? He has a lot to learn about his pistol.
That moment when you realize Civilian shooters have more gun safety and training...
It's their first time. 0:54
thanks to the NRA
@Eric Hawes they do train plenty, that reply was meant for an entirely different comment. Thanks.
Some of these soldiers looked as if it were their first time holding a sidearm, let alone having fired one.
computer voices suck,
Steve lemke b(
I was in the Army from 1977-1980. In my humble opinion, the M1911 was the greatest military pistol ever made. A bunch of sissies decided .45 had too much recoil. If you think this is a problem you have no business joining the Army!
Kelly Keefe facts
I doubt many people are going to place a lot of emphasis on the opinion of some guy would couldn't hack it after 3 years.
For a lot of units training is an issue. You need trigger time. 1911 most definitely gives me a freedom boner.
Recoil isn't a matter of manliness its about biomechanics. Soldiers shoot better with 9mm. The size of your round means little when you can't hit your target
@@someguy5035 How long did you serve?
Having served as an Army MP for six years in the early seventies while in Europe and the US, I carried a 45 nearly every shift. That was over 45 years ago. We would maybe get to qualify/practice twice a year! This video looked pretty typical of guys that get that much real training.
bluhammer06, back then, you carried a Colt M1911 as I did during my two tours in Vietnam.
Worst grips I’ve ever seen, surprised they didn’t have failures, who taught them how to shoot??
Porsche911SC82 someone better than you.
Probably not somebody with a fanboi name.
Consider, 99% of these soldiers have never shot a pistol. You could teach them, but assuming your horrible approach to communication, their shooting is better than your knowledge
madkabal Really? It looked like they didn't have a clue how to shoot.
I believe the correct response is "Your Mom".
Loved the “tea cupping” hopefully they get him corrected
i tnought that went out with Charlies Angels!
In addition to thatn I saw fingers on triggers when they shouldnt be, poor muzzle discipline, low grips... I cannot believe that I am seeing this...
Hoo-ha. Training ain’ t as it should be!
Nothing wrong with a teacup grip if it works for you. Not everyone manhandles their grip like it's their boyfriend's penis; some of us have large hands that are naturally inclined to grip from below with the weak hand.
This video is much better without the Robovoice!
Well you should have stuck it out and picked up the Beretta m9a3.
Jesus, they need more pistol training, the way these guys handle the pistol is ridiculous. Looks like their first time holding one.
It could be.
Probably is.
Watch at 5:53 just sweep everyone on the line
If you listened to the intro, it IS.
Its the army, they are sent as expendable units to be the first ones to die and be replaced immediately. They aren't that important to us.
These soldiers obviously need a lot more pistol handling training! This would never fly in most law enforcement agencies.
They say this beat the beretta apx but I went with the beretta anyway. Now I hear they wish they chose it over the sig. I made a good choice I guess. And are you telling me these guys aren't trained to hold the gun properly? Cmon this is our military. All of them should have the proper grip on the gun.
I’m not bashing by any means but there is literally a LTC tea cup gripping a pistol! 😂
Competition for military firearm contracts has always been shady. One that was particularly shady was the one that resulted in the adaptation of the Baretta. Smith and Wesson got the shaft in that one. The military's answer? "It was a clerical error".
Jim Mc If S&w autos were that great, they would still be making the 59 series.
I do believe it was the Smith & Wesson 459A that was in the competition in the 1985 trials. BTW I have a S&W 459.
They tried to do the same thing to the SP1/AR-15A1,the generals tried to get the Eugene Stoner Rifle tossed away before anyone even had a chance to get a good look at it!!!
I did not know about that one.
4:06 kids literally shaking!!! Shiz has downgraded so much since my time!
Because liberals have the world now go figure
Liberals and democrats 🤷🏽♂️ I joined in 06’ and separated in 11’. I’ve seen significant softening of our military since then. They treat these soldiers like babies in basic training. I’ve even heard of recruits having “time out” cards that they can pull out when DI’s are getting on them 😆😆

I remember qualifying with the then new, M92A side arm. Glad our guys are finally getting a new weapon.
Are you actually a taxpayer? We already PAID for the M92s! So now, we are supposed to replace them? Why?
Davi Khashmal Khashmal they are not powerful enough, and i’ve heard stories of some soldiers shooting somebody with a Beretta five times and they kept coming. And it’s about time the Army gets a new pistol anyway
@@Vadanovltch well changing from one 9mm to another 9mm wont change anything on how affective they are at stopping a threat.
The reason for the change over is that many of the M92’s are very worn out and have been rebuilt several times over after hundreds of thousands of rounds and changing hands with soldiers repeatedly for the last 30yrs. Just like your car once it has been used so much parts wear out and it eventually will need to be replaced. Plus a striker fire design is far more simple and reliable
@@Vadanovltch I personally have never been a fan of the Beretta M9, but dude both pistols fire the same freaken 9mm round.
Yes the 9mm FMJ round just pencils through bad guys, thus a poor stopper.
Thats why the 45 ACP shines even in FMJ ball ammo....just delivers more energy with that big, heavy slug far better than any 9mm FMJ rounds.
annoying Military robot voice: it's no wonder why the soldiers were excited for SHINY new pistols
