It looks like in gta when your tires pop
Hahahahahaha it really does 🤣🤣
Bruh it’s four wheel driving you should try it
I’d love to see back to back dyno runs between the 2 sets of tyres 😂😂
Loved this episode Sam!!! The welder looks sick. I've worked behind a computer screen my whole life and looking to ditch the keyboard and pickup some skills I can use in the garage. The first thing I'd try building with this welder are rock sliders for my weekend 4WD warrior, the 99 Prado!!
Just bought a GU patrol (grandpa spec) and I’ve just learnt to weld in my apprenticeship so I would love to put that into practice at home on the new car and fab up some bar work and other little things for the new rig.
Been eyeing off the Unimigs for my first ever welder. Love the guides and options available with them. I want to weld up a set of rear drawers and side step/rock sliders.
I’m doing a little bit of welding at school and love it!
By working my first part time job at 15 I have saved enough and purchased one of my dream cars, a 1984 vk commodore. She has got plenty of rust, but we are getting a shed put in the back yard and I would love to have this welder in my shed so I can try fixing the vk 😀
Hey Sam, love this episode!!!!
Would love to have a Unimig welder as I'm just a beginner, and I think this would be great to help me out with my projects.
Welder will help with my cracked block and cracked head on my fourby! Been needing a quick fix for sometime now and can't wait to get the beauty back on the tracks! As you said it can pretty much weld anything! Keep up the bloody good work on the channel!
Love the unimig!! I've had my cousins in my shed for a couple of months now and its been a game changer and it's much better than my neighbours cigweld he found in hard rubbish 😅 Would absolutely love my own so my cousin can have his back and so I can restore my project car and build a camper trailer. Bloody love the channel mate keep killing it legend 🤙🍻
Just throwing my hat in the ring for that welder... I'm in the process of sourcing some bits from the states in preparation to do a full rebuild on my first rig. still got it sitting on dad's property, and wanting to bring it back to life. It's a 67 F100 "bumpside" running a 302W, FMX, 9" combo. Used to scream around on my L's in the beast, and want to scream around in it again.
Love the content Sam, keep it up. Just maybe have more Al and Woody madness.
I would love to get a welder for my workshop to build and set up a custom tray and aluminium canopy to tour Australia. I'm fifteen now and have been planning the build for almost a year. Getting the welder would mean more money spent on tyres and lockers 😆. It would also be a great tool to get started with stainless steel tig art and pattern welded blacksmith pieces. Cheers Sam, absolutely love the content. 🤙
Literally researched this exact welder few hours before watching this episode, im wanting to fabricate an aluminium canopy and to do all my bar work for my rc colorado, this welder will do nicely👌
Great episode sam! , im currently building a shed using my boss's 1960's lincwelder. each time i use it i basically trip the main circuit in our house , it sucks that much power. i'd love to get my hands on a Unimig welder so i can dump this lump of metal back to my bosses place and the misso can stop complaining when the power goes off . Onya mate!
I am currently working on my 91' Holden Rodeo dual cab and I need to do some major rust repairs on the frame. It has a split and recently got defected for it. I'm really tight on funds and am currently walking to work 🤣.
My dream is to build a tourer, I've been planning to take my Mum and across Australia. She's been dreaming of it but never had the opportunity.
I appreciate your work Sam, keep it up mate! I hope one day I can do what you do
Cracker of an episode. Am currently making a rear bar for my chopped tub with a set of sliders running from the bullbar all the way to the rear bar and also tigging up a 3” snorkel. Unfortunately I only have access to a welder on the odd weekend here and there, making it a very slow process. Having a welder of my own would dramatically help get my baby back on the road. (97 extra cab lux)
I’ve got a unimig 180. Bought it back in like 2016/17 and it’s perfect for light/ medium welding. Done the flares on my old ke70 with it. And also done tubs and a tube front on my track car with it 👌
hey mate I'm 18 years old and just bought a 98 GQ patrol Ute and wouldn't mind putting a steel tray on it, I want to fab it all myself and this welder would be an unreal start.
Lovin the sound of the Duramax.
Well getting straight to the point, I have a weld in coil conversion turning up in a couple of weeks and I don’t have a welder and my welding skills are pretty minimal. This welder would be perfect for learning to weld and getting better at it
R&D at its finest 👌🏻 I have a gq with holes in the panels from bonnet entry upgrade so a welder would be mint to fix the guard
Such a great test - love it.
I learnt to weld at school - but never had a welder. Now I’m starting to get into 4wding I can see I’m going to need to weld plenty of things - that welder looks like it might be something I could tackle
80 series 1HDT, in the process of rebuilding both diffs, transfer and gearbox. Now I’ve found the notorious steering crack on the chassis… next is rear bar and suspension. Keen to learn some welding as I’m teaching myself most of the above as I go.
Wanting to build my own stainless snorkel on my 80 series, got my love for 80s from your 80 build.
Awesome 👌
Well, a welder in my life plays up like a second hand lawn mower. I have had all the materials to build my toy hauler but never had a good enough welder to finish it. I am sure the unimig would get the job done ✔️
I’ve got a custom camper trailer I need to do a lot of work on, bigger axle, weld on stabiliser legs, weld up a new roof rack, and bits n pieces all over. All this and I’ve never welded before!
Loves it the old girl!
I'd say I'd use welder to help weld up some barwork I've been working on lately. Welding up my own rear bar to replace the old one and bending/welding up some neat scrub bars front and rear
Currently got a half canopy build going, just need a ute tray that isn't full of rust and building one from scratch is better than buying one already built
Hahahahah I am loving the little edits 😂 I laughed when Greta came out of the smoke
Recently got a new shed put in and trying to turn it into a workshop for cars/motorbikes and could most definitely make good use of the unimig. Cheers for the killa content as always 🤙
I learnt to weld at school last year and by having a welder at home that would help me improve greatly as next year I want to become a fabricator
Absolute banger of a video. I've been currently learning how to weld with my mates welder. We built a custom roof rack for my patrol. My next project would be brush bars and my own custom staino. Keep up the great content
I am currently "Bought Not Built" with my 4WD mods. And it's very hard to continue building and upgrading my 4WD this way when I lack the dosh to do it. Maybe learning how to weld will inspire me to build things for it instead. I have ideas, but I just don't have the equipment nor skills (yet) to do it. Winning this welder will help me heaps. 😁
Loved this episode.............
I am trying to modify a 2WD 2KD Kun 15 Hilux (2004 model)............... Modify its IFS system (to lift) for better damping and drive stability as well as convert the rear Lift spring (Tension) suspension to coil spring system while keeping it as a 2WD system for better control and less bumpy ride. A UNIMIG would definitely help as it is so expensive in PNG.
Cheers Sam............ Loved your videos especially the 80 series build vancruiser.
Sam mate! I'm about to start 2 massive projects a landy 109 series 2a restoration and a landy 88 series 2 with a 3.5L v8 swap, and having a Unimig welder would change my life! Keep up the awsome work!
Bought an arc welder to custom make a bullbar for my 80 series. Couldnt afford a mig. So this unimig would make life so much easier.
LOV the videos Mate, a welder is the last peace’s of the puzzles to get my 1uz engine swapped airbag suspension 1968 Mercedes Benz 280 SE, as I’ve not had the fund to buy such a great welder like the unimig welder and would give me the ability to fabricate my own engine mounts and transmission mount and get this classic car back on the road again. Keep up with the great content 🤘🏼.
Cracking stuff boys. I’ve always had it in my head to build a MTB swinging bike rack that is also a rear bar as all the ones you see in the shop are flimsy and expensive.
Sam I had a welder and in the meddle of making a camper trailer so i could go to Fraser island with the kids n misses (she is the glamping type) for the first time it cooked its self took it in and they said it would be cheaper to buy a new one I would love this one instead of spending build money on tools love your work mate
Great video sam, I just Brought an old Hilux as my first car would love a mig welder because it would be a great upgrade to my old arc welder as I want to built some rock sliders a canopy and heaps of other mods, cheers
Weekend projects to do up my camper trailer and build a off road buggy with the welder, did well getting into little red on the street tyres.
Ah yes from go kart to race cars to 4x4 the old ebay mig special. Never ran gas through the thing, from fabricating to bush mechanics great item to have
Funny video man. I’m 15 just bought a gq and trying to bring it back to life. Need to weld in a floor and patch up all the rust holes and build bullbars etc.
Top video mate, me and my fam were just discussing that we need a welder to fix up a few broken gates and to weld up a frame for a buggy and realised how expensive they were would be mint to have a unimig
Would love the Unimig would make life so much easier for my old man and I when building our VB commodore
Plenty of rust to be cut out, and replaced. I’m sure the Unimig will make light work of it
Hey Sam, cracking vid, many lols. That Unimig looks like a great bit of kit. I'd use it to fabricate brackets, braces, struts, supports, props and contraptions to stop bits falling off my rig!
Just did 1 week of work experience welding and loved it and would love to get a welder
I really want to become a boilermaker when I’m older and that welder sounds like a great start
Love that your always pushin for new and interesting content, always a good laugh!!
Also been binge watching your videos and
KP Built lately and been super inspired to start building up the cruiser, as well as wanting to learn to weld!! The Unimigs would definitely be an essential addition!!
Keep the vids rollin bra 🤙🏾
Bloody cracker of an episode mate. I’d love to get a welder to fix the tray on my patrol to make it more practical for the bush
Just got into the 4wd scene and want to throw myself in the deep
End and learn to build my own tray set up, felt like it was the best way to learn
95% finished my Barra gq conversion and neeeeeed a welder to start learning to fab up some bar work 🤙
The welder looks sick just got me first car thinking of fabricating my own flat bed tray
golddd, love the duramax. im 19 and just started a fabrication apprenticeship in structural engineering and will need to buy a welder so that would help tick that box aswell as im restoring and building up a 1979 4x4 f100 short bed that i want to build a custom bars exhaust and cage for and would mind building my own suspension components. sams rule yewwww
It will be my first step into making my dream Ute, Toyota stout heavy, 80 series chassis, a 1gz engine with a half box on a steel tray
Hey Sam, I learnt to weld in year 10 at school which I am currently in year 12. I currently have a stick welder but I can’t weld anything thin and I am about to start restoring a 1968 XT falcon and I plan on fabricating a lot of parts for it and with the thin sheet metal the mig would come in handy and the tig would come in handy with making an exhaust for the old girl. If I won this welder I would be able to make so much more stuff then I can with just a stick.
Oi that’s me! (Blue motorbike). I’d froth the razor welder as I’m coming towards the end of my apprenticeship as a fitter and turner but would love to hone in my skills on my own personal welder at home, I love the art of welding and would love to specialise in stainless TIG. Cheers 🤙
Love your work Sam I’m 16 years old and just about to buy my first ute I would love a welder like this to build a tray for it I already know how to weld but I think this welder would be great for improving 👍🏼👍🏼 and I wouldn’t have to use Dads 😂
Been looking at getting a welder ever since I started watching your channel, first real project I’d build is a new tray for my n80. Keen for the cape content
Best line "Bitta right foot some maxtrax and a winch later" 🤣🤣. And welder who wouldn't want a welder. The things I could do...get my mad scientist hat on...Thanks for another hilarious episode and some very practical advice 😜👌
Could definitely use a welder to start having a crack at fabbing up some bar work for the fourby. I’m sure I’ll come up with plenty more projects once my shed goes up. 👌
I really need a new welder, I blew mine up yesterday and this would be perfect for my subaru brumby project
would love a welder to take my budget 80 build to the next level, been stuck with stick welding and would love an upgrade
Awesome Vid as always mate. I’m look at building my tray and canopy setup my self. I watched you do all your fit out. I’m definitely thinking the unimig would go down a treat building my first tray and canopy.
Cheers mate 🤙🏻
would love a new welder, just moved into my first home and slowly working the fund together for some tools so i can get my projects going, between the MK patrol SWB that needs plenty of body work, and couple of classics my late father left me, I've got plenty of welding work ahead of me. Going to be a sharp learning curve but determined to get there either way.
Welder would definitely come in handy doing a ground up re-build and engine conversion on my old defender!
Just brought my first 4wd and I’m looking to build my own try and bar work as I love the build it your self idea, plus’s I need to learn how to weld
Another excellent episode mate!
Love to get my hands on a welder. I had my Ute written off just over a week ago due to another drivers error so I’ve had to replace it and the new Ute didn’t have a tray or sliders, so being able to build either or both of those myself would be pretty epic and cost saving
Having a welder would be awesome my grandad was a welder for a lot of his working life and he used to make the coolest stuff, I wanna build my own motorbike trailer like he built his own trailer which is still being used and going to this day!
Building my fist car, it’s a Hilux and I’m trying to build it not buy everything, keen to make some rock sliders and an airbox, the Razor weld would be awesome !!
Got an n80 hilux
Got plans to do a lot of at home diy mods.
Make my own barwork and scrub protection and a unimig welder will be mint 👌
Well done on another fun episode Sam. I am sick of building things out of wood for the car. The frames for my 4wd are rank. Need the unimig to take my mods to the next level. No more 90 45 😅
Great episode Sam the welder would come in handy with when breaking stuff in the bush can be easily fixed and I'm always building things that I need a welder in the shed and I'm always adding news things to the ute keep up with the great videos Sam Built Not Bought is where i am always watching to get ideas on new things
My old mans a boilermaker! I would love to show him a web designer can smoke him at his own game 👌 been watching you for a while and love your content !!
Never skip leg day! I'm about to start on a custom rear bar for my GQ and need to buy a welder. Winning one would be even better though!
Love the videos.
I’m building a hilux surf and have started putting patrol diffs under it. I want to start getting into fab work and practice making some bar work and eventually suspension arms. The Unimig would be killer.
Young bloke going through diesel apprenticeship. Wanting to learn more about welding. Wanting to learn to do scrub bars, trays, bull bars etc. Just stuff to modify my gu patrol. Also stuff around the house.
Cheers, always loving the vids
Could honestly use a new welder for not only myself but also to take into work for my senior high school students to use. Big classes with only 2 welders means very limited time to do anything anymore sadly.
Keep up the good work mate!
Loving the vids mate!! I not long ago bought a hj75 crusier and i want to build it up into a crusier no one’s seen before, done my way, and id like to do it all myself, the mig, stick and tug is something i’d love to learn to be able to do all my snorkels and exhausts by myself, it would be great to learn how to weld better.
I have been looking at getting a wedding for since Covid started and I was at home with so much time in the garage but just started a family and have not been able to get the money together to get one I have always looked at the unimag and wanted it. I have a few plans one what I was to make from a bike rack to a shelf in the back of my ute. Love the work you do Sam keep it up mate.
Hey Sammy I’m 16 years old and just bought my self a 2003 diesel hilux and was wanting to build a tray myself as a learning experience on how to weld cause I’ve never done it before and I would love to win the welder so I can give it a go cheers mate keep up the awesome content 👍
I have an 18 tonne old copper wound arc welder (30 years old) & NEED an upgrade to do more, more complex & better projects!
Hoping to learn to weld a new set of sliders for my patrol and then weld up a new tray when my skills get a bit better. Keep up the videos sam, always great content!!
Building a 81 rn46 hilux, wanting to make my own tray and dog box and a welder would come in handy for that. Cheers
I need a welder to practice welding, I do welding at school and I really enjoy it would love to get my own welder to get better and hopefully do welding for work.
Making me want to try this myself! Been looking to purchase my first welder for a while keen to build and modify my project VL and when more experienced my new hilux!
The uni mig would come in handy on the ground up rebuild of my 80. Cheers for the content
Loving the Episode! - I’ve got the cheapest Aldi welder was used to get me out of trouble. Broken mounts on a trailer on a trip.
Looking sick, got a gq patrol that’s got a fair chunk of rust. Need a decent welder to plate it up and turn it into a rig.
Building a fte 40 series.. of course a bit of rust repair and customizing which the unimig welder would be ideal for! 🤠
Planning to build a tray soon with a couple of mates and a Welder will probably be handy there I reckon.
That welder would be amazing. I'm building a 1uz powered stout and this would bring my build next level🤙🤙
Welder looks 👌🏻, I would build a canopy for my ute so I can get out and hit the tracks
Great video mate.
I’m in the process of building my RG Colorado she’s a touring rig but I’m getting started on bar work so a welder like that would be a great addition to my shed 👌🏽🤙🏽
Wanting to build my own camper trailer and this would help out bucket loads haha. Can't wait to take it out
If I won that welder it would get my hq tonner project going along a lot smoother and make the body look a lot nicer, not to mention all the other possibilities of projects to come
I'd love a welder as now when I have projects for my 80 or around the house involving metal I have to get a mate to bring around his welder which isn't always possible when you want it. And I see you and Maca praising the unimigs so always wanted one of those
i have never ever welded however i’d love to give it a crack. always wanted to learn and this one sounds very easy to get your head around
Proof you don’t need good tires at all! Just a good set of light bars a coffee machine and you’ll go anywhere! Would love the unimig razor so I can whip up some good bullbar hoops so I have somewhere to mount my whip colour lights! 🤙🤙
Sam! if I won the unimig, I’d start by making a canopy for my dual cab, then I would try to do a tub chop, and make a rear bar setup for the Ute! Love the videos and makes me want to test my Ute when I get a few more mods sorted on it!
Those street tyres look like my ranger on a normal day 😂 without the clearance i really need to build my own bar work
I’m building a trailer/toy hauler to take the bike away and mount the roof top tent too
My current welder is a cig weld stick welder - the old dial type 😂
This would bloody come in handy so I don’t have to wait for the old arc welder to cool down after runs
