I’ve had this machine sitting on my desk for the last month and your videos have given me the confidence to fire it up for the first time and give it a shot! Thanks so much for this series!
I' haven't had a problem with cross-wound thread when sewing with Brother LX3817A. My problem has been the needle becoming unthreaded. Thank you for the added spool tutorial!
Hi Mom. I have the exact sewing machine very easy to use for begginers like myself. I will probably upgrade once i get a lot better with sewing. I am also going to see how well it will do with denium. I saw that thread holder in walmart over the past weekend. Thanks for all the very helpful tips. I am really surprise you like the very basic brother 💖. I have a lot of hope with it now.
I do really love this Brother! They say the best camera is the one you have, and I think it's true of sewing machines as well :) I have a nice Bernina, and to be honest I don't think it does anything better than this one! Do try the thread holder with some nice thread :)
@@momdoesstuff i will try it mom thanks. Your Bernina machine cost more than my truck lol 😂. I am glad you approve of the brother 3817A because at the time thats all my budget would allow. I learn all about itfrom looking at your very first videos. I do have to use a small lamp when i am threading it and sewing because of my aging eyes lol 😂. Thanks again Mom 💖
I wanted to give you credit when I ordered on Amazon but the thread link went back to the Cone Holder. I don't know if it helps but I wanted to get both. Thanks, Angela
Hey your video really helped me a lot getting my sewing machine started. But I do got a couple questions. Does the bobbin got to be laying in there a certain way and I can get that loop either.
Hi! When I am using stacked thread on my spool pin (Brother xm2701) the thread bounces up and down! The pin is not long enough to use anything on top. Is there a solution out there? I know my stacked thread should not be used in a cone holder but I'm about to break that rule!

Thanks for the tips! God bless!
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the tutorial but how do you lower the feeds?
You’re very welcome! Unfortunately, you cannot drop the feed dogs on this machine. You have to use the feed dog cover plate.
