This is the best POV of the big one, it’s so strange that it’s now almost silent going through the tunnel now with the new track
Thank you! I’m still not used to how quiet the new track sections are
@@yourexperienceguide I haven’t been on big one since the new track section was put on but it used to sound like a fright train going through that tunnel before
@@evehosgood It was so loud, I do miss it a bit
@@yourexperienceguide Think I will too, glad pleasure beach are looking after big one though
@@yourexperienceguide how often does it get stuck at the top. This stops me from going on it now lol I would literally lose my mind
many happy memories at pleasure beach with my family, i can't wait to come back and ride everything again
Hope you have a great next visit to BPB
The first drop on the back row of the big one is my favorite bit of this park. The front Seat on Infusion is the most exciting ride overall, and I think the big dipper is the most fun overall.
Thank you for watching and commenting
I love the Big Dipper !
Did pleasure beach for the first time today!
Got back seat on Big One & Dipper!
Dipper is arguably the best woody I’ve ever ridden and that drop on Big One is unlike anything else.
The most memorable part of the ride for me though is after the big loop back and you look back at the lift hill and think “that looks miles away…I was literally there seconds ago!”
Big dipper was bad so bumpy and rocky
@@PoisonousPenhow I felt!
Was on it yesterday just before 6pm. Scorching day, she flew round the track! Fastest I’ve ever felt it go. Superb!
Awesome, hope you had a good day
How do u know it's a she
@@markpickering4007it told me it’s gender preferred pronouns.
My fave Big One POV was always the one from 'where seagulls dare' but this just tops it, has it all, most of all the unique soothing sound of the lift chain. This is THE definitive POV of Britian's Tallest Rollercoaster.....drink it in. Scott has done us proud here 11/10
Thank you, both me and Chris are very proud of this
@🌲sunflower hollie🌻 My keyboard is fine thanks, just a simple error. Top marks to you for noticing though! 😀
Just wait till project exodus in thorpe park is built it will be 23 foot taller than the big one and said to be 1mph faster than stealth which is also at thorpe park (currently the fastest in the UK)
@@FlyingHawlucha 1mph hey! I'm sure it will be good...even for such a short ride 😊
That sound just gets my anxiety going for the drop😂
Without a doubt the best, clearest and smoothest video I have EVER seen of the Big1
Well done...
Thank you 😊
Came here on Saturday, first time ever going on rollercoasters. I was always afraid of them when I was a kid so I never went to theme parks, but two mates wanted to do this so I thought I should give it a go (expecting to hate it nonetheless). We started on The Big Dipper, which was deceivingly thrilling! Then we did Infusion which I really didn't want to do, but after the initial fear after the start I loved it, and then it was The Big One... that drop is like nothing I have ever experienced. Terrifying yet utterly brilliant! Can't believe I enjoyed it 😁
Thank you for watching and commenting
When you look at it for the
Beach you can’t believe you rode it
It does look huge when stood down at the beach
I still feel proud of myself today 😁

Is this a good first coaster for me to try? I want to get over my fear
@@HardAsNailsTonyif you’re going to pleasure beach, I’d suggest the big dipper! It was my first rollercoaster and the drops are quite small but get you loving that feeling of being on a rollercoaster!
Had a big smile on my face all the way through this. Amazing viewpoint.
Glad you enjoyed it Luke, thank you :)
@@yourexperienceguide I been on Pepsi maxi I enjoyed it
great pov of one of the best rides in the UK
Thank you 🎢
Went on this years ago and thought it was quite tame. Was expecting more from it.
Tall and awesome doesn’t mean intense and scary. At movie world the scariest roller coaster (superman escape) is much scarier than the other roller coasters that tower next to it.
First went on it as the Pepsi max in 1999. Was my first ever rollercoster at 10 years old. I've been loving them ever since, but this will always be my favourite. 🎢
Thank you for watching and commenting
The new section of track looks lovely, and feels very smooth compared to the rest, I’d love to see the whole thing look as colourful as the new track like it used to!
A full retrack would be great
Loved watching the transition from old track to new track from this angle!
Me too! Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
Hearing the difference between old and new track was interesting too. I hope they re track the rest of the ride quickly. Especially the turnaround
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched this, but it is an amazing pov of the big one. The big one is still my favourite ride in the park.
Thank you 😊
Great video Scott. It really gives a sense of the speed on the first drop. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Paul, Chris did the GoPro attachments and I did the camera settings. Very proud of what we’ve achieved with this ☺️
This is an incredible video! Would love to see an illuminations version later in the year
Would be amazing to do that. Thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
Thank you for all that you do! Your commitment is admirable 💪
Thank you 😊
Great POV of my favourite pleasure beach ride. This was an engineering marvel back in the day when it first got constructed and opened and was at that time the tallest in the world I believe. There's still an air of cockyness about it now even after almost 30 years and it still deserves respect.
Thank you for watching and commenting
@@yourexperienceguide hi
Another awesome video! That is an amazing view of the ride. Great work!
Thank you, would love to capture more POVs like this
i remember going to bpb on hoilday with my auntie and omg 1:09 feels like your just going 100000m in to the air
Been on it and like all coasters magnificent engineering in itself.Momentum measured to such tiny tolerances and friction and wind etc.Great ride.
Great POV. These are my favourite types, down at track level. Thanks for sharing. 👍
Thank you 😊
I’ve been waiting for this & thoroughly enjoyed it. I vote for Icon next time!
Thank you, ICON track level is one we’d love to do in the future ☺️
God, I just love the classic, homemade like engineering of Arrow coasters. Would have been such a joy to work for them during their heyday. Just so cool seeing their solutions to little problems. Like 2:20 easy way to make sure your supports line up is put a flat 1" plate, level on top of support post and just mount track to the plate instead of directly to support; that way plenty of give/room to place track on at top. Since it's all mostly hand welded track. Super simple, little wasteful but it works. Support could be like 2" off center and you'd still be fine with plenty of space to mount track to support. Like at 0:54 how they put the plastic on the anti roll back device, I'm guessing for less friction, smoother operation etc. 2:21 at top right, on helix in front of camera.... Can't figure out what those weird mounts on top of support are, that are hooked to track with threaded rod. Weird. No idea what that's for; maybe extra tie downs for track to supports but doesn't seem like it'd be doing anything. 1:30 The white trellise structure they used to span the long distance between the only spots they could place 200' supports. Clever, ugly, but clever. Lots of welds to inspect, but was best they could do with their track type and tech at time. Nowadays Intamin double spine or B&M track could probably make those spans without weirdness like that.
Arrow may not have been “perfect” but they were ahead of the game for a very long time and will always be my favourites manufacturer.
@Arrow Dynamics Inc. Oh yeah? Learn something new everyday. Where did you learn that? So, they just sub-contracted out the engineering for supports on all pre computer designed Arrow coasters?
Great comments, Arrow really did change the game. Btw, those additional welds/wire running the track is a safety cable that maintenance attaches to their belt-harness when inspecting the track.
@@bobbylindsey Also think it's interesting how around this time they changed their cross ties to a single piece that's rounded instead of a welded contraption of like 4-6 pieces all with welds to inspect. The welded track is a lot easier to fix I'd imagine. I wonder if they do welding on the track ever or just always replace the track piece. Isn't the station an elevator transfer track too?
@@jonny-b4954 The rounded one piece cross-tie is a D.H. Morgan signature; take a look at Phantoms Revenge at Kennywood. Morgan & Arrow have similar track design they often worked together on projects, (Dana) Morgan may have been a consultant on the project which would explain the different looking cross-ties. The Big One does utilize an elevator transfer in the station, pretty genius for its time.
Fantastic quality video. Booked up for next month so can't wait to get back on the rides again !!
Thank you for watching and commenting, have a great visit ☺️
That’s amazing! Really good angle. Love this ride
Thank you 😊
Absolutely amazing! Good job!!
Thanks 😊
Honestly Scott, best angle out them all! I remember yeeeeeears ago when the PMBO not long opened (I was maybe 4/5) and they did a video of a POV like this. Parents (once married) set some chairs up in front of the tv for me and my bro to “ride” the PMBO. It was such a nice memory. This reminds me of that. Of course video recording capabilities have vastly improved since. Watched this in its highest def and wow!
And you should be proud. Both of you! I’ll look forward to more for sure! 👏🏼
LOVE THIS!! Well done!
Thank you so much!! :)
Brilliant guys best pov ive ever seen
Thank you 😊
You can tell that ride was designed and manufactured by hand and not computer. Which is a good thing, because of the character it gives the ride. What a marvel!
Great video guys, lovely quality and such a good angle!
Thanks so much!
Bloody brilliant! Can't wait to go back in October
Thank you, hope you have an excellent time
Amazing POV, Thank you for sharing :)

BRILLIANT Big One POV! 👏🏻

@@yourexperienceguide I've now decided; best POV of Big One on RUclips/ever made! 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Beautiful.
I love the sound of that when it comes off the most insane drop in Britain!
It is a very satisfying noise
One of the coolest coaster POVs I have ever seen.
Thank you
Cant stop watching 😍💯
Thank you 😊
Incredible video thanks a lot for your efforts
Thank you 😊
This just reminds me of when I was on it I swear I nearly crapped myself the first big drop was terrifying
Had a great time on Saturday on the big one. Wow it makes me feel so good and made my birthday extra special. I just cant understand why my sisters boyfriend wont go on? Lol. Great video scott thankyou love this ride.
Thank you, hope you had a great day overall ☺️
It’s still intimidating to a lot of people
WOW
It's been there for 30 years, and it's still running!!
Fantastic Pov guys!
Thank you 😊
we went just over a week ago and the cues were massive we saved this ride for last and it was by far the smoothest ride of the day.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great POV, absolutely love the big ones first drop. The back seat is the best for the big one in my opinion. Only part I don’t like about the big one is the trim brakes throughout the ride. Other that that I love it. Also, what camera do you use to film your POVs?
Back row is my favourite, definitely. We mounted our GoPro to the Big One for this POV, we used specialised rigging equipment to do so with the Pleasure Beach's permission.
Beautiful POV!
Thank you 😊
Thank you, we worked with PBE to do this POV :D
Looks so fun!

Brilliant ride! 1st time I went on it it was sunset so I was enjoying the view then my friend screamed I looked forward and it was the drop rlly fun ride! Not as scary as it looks x 😂😂

Roll on next Spring! I want to go on that!
This POV is brilliant, but I don't think any video could ever do the utter thrill you feel justice.

Amazing video, can spot the new track some much easier from this angle

Was and still is a magnificent design and structure long may the big one live and would love to extend this at some point with even more thrills come on amanda lets get cracking uprate this beauty .
They’ve been doing a lot of retracking work in recent years
Nice pov....THANKS!
Glad you liked it, thanks
Super POV!

The best POV of the big one I’ve ever seen, well done….
Thanks Dean
I did the big one once lol 😆 i haven't been on a rollercoaster since 😅 gimme the big wheel on central pier anyday ...
Great POV angle still gives me shivers 😊😅😅 thank you for the upload ❤
What a great POV and I can confirm it is smooth now
Thanks Chris
Rode this on 30th May. The first drop beautifully yanked me to the right. 1st airtime hill had extremely amazing views. The turn felt so smooth.
Although can be a bit janky in places
It’s not the smoothest but it was built in the early 90s
I'm coming here in 6 days and I'm so excited
Have a great time
One word, WOW!
Thank you 😊
Fantastic video!
Thank you very much!
I loved that ride

Been on this once never ever again that first drop is insane
Ikr that drop put my stomach in my throat 😭
Prob my favourite ride this at pleasure beach took my mate from college on this couple years back now was hes first time on it and he was so scared going on it and then when we got back in the station he said and thats enough of that but look like he enjoyed himself on it lol this is my local park too from manchester way so love to go back again soon just have no one to go with thats the trouble but it looks so smooth on the camera just love how it chases the track coming up but that bit before finish where it goes round is a bit rough and shes looking a bit old now the old girl at the station where it starts bit of wear and tear on the track but still classic ride even after all these years still going strong
Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️
Best experience at the pleasure beach I would loveeee to go again. On the top of the big one it is like you are heading into the sea
Definitely the best at Pleasure Beach :)
or the promenade below if the tides in
This is beautiful
Thank you 🎢
Perfect angle 👌

I’ve been on this yesterday, it was surprisingly less scarier then I expected, it was really fun my fav rides in the theme park were definitely icon and the big one.

I’m flying to the pleasure beach the day after tomorrow for my birthday :)))) in my opinion it’s my fav theme park!

Wow this is great something you would never see from riding it and you can see just how high this is and how steep that first drop is love it! 🎢🙌
I love this angle, thank you for watching and commenting ☺️
OMG that Arrow lift hill anti roll back sound! 😆😊👌
Iconic 😅
So strange to see it at this angle. Looks so much faster like this! Great POV :)
I really do like this angle, thank you 😊
Brilliant video, been on it 3 times
Thanks for watching and commenting :)
Robbob lol i have been on over 1000 when i was 7 when it opend me and my farther would go on again and again when i was 9 we had a school trip there i took a girl who was scared at first on 20 times in one day i now of 34 have been on more then a Thousand
Last time I went it was closed so I didn’t get the chance of going on it for the 1st time. Next time I want to go on it but I am scared that I will be too scared to go on and not go. Do you have any tips if you’re scared of it.
WENT ON THIS YESTERDAY 3 TIMES. the queues were so small. 10 minutes on everything basically! went on infusion 3 times (2 times after eachother and the queues were like 2 minutes) Icon 3 times, once in the middle and 2 after eachother at the front and we had to queue like 5 minutes. big one 3 times, first queue was around 15 minutes, then we went on it 2 times after each other in the span of 10 minutes ❤️ went on almost all the other rollercoasters and we left 4pm when the park closed at 5 ❤️ best time ever since we had no queue times x
Wow! Amazing thinking to do this and fare play for getting it. The wobbly corners really don't show on this video. I really noticed them last visit! Left and right wobbles when going round all corners.
Thanks Henry 😀
Brilliant

Povs this smooth were unthinkable a decade ago
Agreed
I first rode it in 2013 and I was getting terrified while it was going up until after the first drop I loved it I prefer the back because it feels like your gonna fly out
Back row is the best
Definitely one of the best p.o.v's by far
Thank you 😊
Awesome video 🙂👍
Thank you
The back seat is the best. You really whizz round !
Back seat is fantastic, especially on the left side
If i go limp on the first drop will i hit my head on the side of the train? I plan on riding this in may and the drop looks like a ridiculous lateral moment
Interesting how much speed the train retains throughout when there aren’t high friction elements like sharp turns and inversions.
It did seem to be running well on this particular day :)
Went on this great ride a couple of years ago for the first time and I got lucky I was on front row for my first ride.
Was really scary on the first drop but I really liked it👏
Brill
im back at the pleasure beach next week. first time in 6 years so not had a go on icon yet ... i wish i lived closer
