As unpopular an opinion as it may be, I think Final Fight is far and away the best beat 'em up ever released. SoR2 is kind of tacky and tries too hard to be interesting. SoR original was a lot more faithful to the genre, it being about street brawling and little else. Final Fight has better graphics, designs, mechanics, gameplay and is genuinly a tightly made game, it is clear why SFII evolved from it. The crowd controls and chain mechanics are soberly applied. In SoR2 it's all over the place. The moves are flashy but make little sense. etc. etc. etc. I was a big fan when SoR2 came out but came to realise that it was only pretending to be doing what FF and DD before it where actually doing for real. And SFC version of FF is home port panacea. If the game in terms of authentic challenge is what matters. I don't mind being the only one who feels this way. Each to their own
Final Fight was made because of memory shortage, pushing production of SFII back a few years. SFII evolved from the first one, created by the guy that left Capcom to join SNK.
Yea no, I don’t agree at all. SOR2 is a far far better game than Final Fight and leaves it in the dust. “Trying too hard to be interesting” is a very weird non descriptive “complaint” and makes it seem like you really don’t have anything in particular to complain about. SOR2 has better mechanics, way more moves, a much better soundtrack, more variety in enemies, and more playable characters than Final Fight. Honestly it’s not even close in my opinion. Final Fight feels limited, slow, and outdated in comparison.
@@yeahyeahwowman8099 No, there are definitely plenty of examples of it, even in things I still like to some degree, like the Last of Us TV series, squeezing 'diverse' characters in. Just because the guy above hasn't explained how S.O.R. 4 fits the mould, doesn't mean it's not blatantly happening all around us. I work alongside the civil service, so I see it first hand all the time at the very top.

@@DancesRainyStreets key figures in the creation of FF where also involved in the making of SF2
Let me guess, you're a super gaytendo fan right? 🏳️🌈

Streets of Rage 4 is too woke.
In what way? I didn't notice when I played it.
What’s woke about it?🙄
@@worldfallmusicit is something that they can't ever fully explain, they just like saying it.
Rage bait
@@yeahyeahwowman8099 No, there are definitely plenty of examples of it, even in things I still like to some degree, like the Last of Us TV series, squeezing 'diverse' characters in. Just because the guy above hasn't explained how S.O.R. 4 fits the mould, doesn't mean it's not blatantly happening all around us. I work alongside the civil service, so I see it first hand all the time at the very top.
It's not that great....... YEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
