    The Chrevolet Cruze is actually quite a good car, I had a 2.0cdti that I bought in 2013 as a 3 year old, ran it for 9 years until a Taxi T-Boned me 14 months ago & the insurance company wrote it off, if that hadn't happened I would still be running it now, it was super reliable family car.

      Insignia's are underrated cars too. I've got a 2011 SRI Nav Auto with 105k miles on the clock as my workhorse. Remapped to 206 bhp and 321 lb ft. It’s pretty quick, got loads of torque and is great on the motorway. Had it for 5 years. Not a single thing has gone wrong with it, and it’s passed every MOT without advisories. Cheap as chips motoring. I'll keep it till it breaks as it's only worth 2 balloons.

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  5 месяцев назад +10

      Could be clutch but they do suffer with gear linkages failing becoming hard to engage gear and very stiff. Turn the car off and try put in through the gears, if still feels stiff (note the clutch is not operating) then its a gear linkage issue. if it flows fine and only does it when the engine is on and using the clutch hydraulics its clutch related

    Lets be honest AUTODOC have a good range of parts and at reasonable prices but you can wait 3 or 5 or 7 days so if your not in a hurry to get the parts all good but don't except a fast delivery

    • @carukchannel
      @carukchannel  5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes if you want next day then its a issue, but if your ordering in advance of a service or change brakes etc then it works. Also I use them the parts I just cannot source from my local motor factors, which I am happy to wait for. Anyhow thanks for watching tlabort and for the feedback 👍👍👍

      2017 was soon after Dieselgate. Some sort of ULEZ seemed inevitable after that. I was actually put off buying a diesel in early 2015 due to the number of two year old Audis "rolling coal" whenever they accelerated hard.

    I do find it curious that you talk about 100k miles and over being a lot. Most cars if they’re well serviced will last way, way longer than that especially if they’re diesels.
    You can find out if it’s a good car by simply looking at Car Vertical, Vehicle Score and We Buy Any Car Check to see whether it’s passing MOTs and if it’s passing them with no advisories.

    Your spending as much time at Castleford-Wakefield area as me and i live here, think you should have bud a bit more on the seat Ibiza at 135,000 miles it would still sell at say £1895-1995. Also the 15 plate ragtop Fiat 500 it went for £3300 if you had bought that for £3500ish im positive thats a £5495 car if not more . Even if its a little more than what you sell a week in the Autotrader a young bird my daughter's age mid 20s would be all over it. She wanted a white 500 as her first car she ended up with a 207 no doubt she will buy 1 at sometime.

    Hi Bud, I get ALL my parts from Auto-Doc because You CAN Choose between the Cheaper Brands or go Full ££ On the OEM Parts. CV19 Has HIT EVERYONE HARD and that;s why we;er ALL seeing people go for smaller Cheaper Cars even for Cheaper Insurance and cheaper Tax. In America the EV Market was supposed to CLEAN UP THE Environment BUT with the EVs being NON-ROAD TAXABLE the States now have started Charging $1 a mile CAUSING Riots amongst the EV Buyers Because they were PROMISED NO ROAD TAX. I just Sold a VW Polo 1.6Tdi-90-SEL with just 38,000 FSH for £6500 To a Mate, The SAME ££ I payed for it 4 Years ago with just 32,000 On Clock/Docs.
