To manage without the torque multiplier you need to know what is the multiplication level of the tool, and for one full revolution (360 degs) how many degrees the tool has on the output. So if the tool is 5:1 and the first torque setting is 60 Nm, then on the bolt the torque shall be 300Nm. Then, for the 5 x 90degs on the input you can figure out the angle on the bolt. If the nice gentlemen who filmed this video, provides the torque multiplication and input/output angles of the tool, this job could be done without the torque multiplier. BUT, the need of a larger torque wrench + a breaking bar might be needed to achieve the high torque + the angle of the bolt. Cheers, and please correct me if I got something wrong.
The video for the Lazer tool shows 25nm - 70nm then 90° X 4 then 25° using a 9-1 torque multiplier. The ford procedure says to torque to 60nm using the multiplier before moving on to angle tightening of 90° X five. Lazers version equates to just 70nm + 82.77°
thank you

At last the correct way to torque up that crank bolt
This vehicle dont damaged the valves when it break the timing belts
What happened to the 300 nm plus 90 degrees part?
This is the correct torque setting specified by Ford buddy
@@MandJAutomotive See the Haynes manual buddy.
Mine comes direct from Ford who manufactures the engine
Tight is tight

Is the Ford multiplier 9 to 1 as well? TIA
The Rotunda 303-1611 is 1:5x.
This is the Ford tool, Rotunda manufactures many tools for Ford
If you own that tool it s fine, if you don t ..definetly not worth buying it!, you can manage without it
How do you do it 🤔
Thinking of doing lads 1ltr eco boost
Believe way without is 330Nm them 90
Agreed, I’ve done loads without that tool
