Welcome to the official Laver Cup RUclips channel. Laver Cup Berlin 2024 runs from September 20-22 at Uber Arena. The tournament takes place for the seventh time and features some of the best players in the world. Björn Borg captains Team Europe, consisting of Carlos Alcaraz, Grigor Dimitrov, Daniil Medvedev, Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, Flavio Cobolli (alternate) and Jan-Lennard Struff (alternate). John McEnroe captains Team World, consisting of Francisco Cerundolo, Taylor Fritz, Thanasi Kokkinakis, Ben Shelton, Alejandro Tabilo and Frances Tiafoe. Team Europe’s Vice Captain is Thomas Enqvist and Team World’s Vice Captain is Patrick McEnroe. Team World are the reigning champions after winning at Vancouver 2023.

Always looking forward to the Laver Cup! It's one of my favorite tournaments, together with RG and Wimbledon. I'll miss Borg and McEnroe in San Francisco next year.
I’m European, but congratulations to Team World. Every year they have the weaker team on paper, but they always put up a great fight!
And they win quite often as well. This is because in tennis everyone can beat everyone.
Team europe on paper should have squashed team world. They have number 2,3 and 5 in the world.

As an European, I'm a full supporter of Team Europe, of course. However, both teams have won the same number of matches, and I think it's pitiful Sunday matches are most worthy than the other matches, just for the show.

To be honest - who cares ?
There will be periods where Europe wins more , then Team World or USA will have times where they will win more........
Olympics or FIFA WC or any other country based competition , it's a bit gimmicky , don't get me wrong , i still watch.
But usually countries who traditionally love a certain sport more - will succeed in said sport , especially team sports.
In individual sports or Olympics in general - obviously the bigger industrialized countries with bigger populations , more children born every year , bigger talent pool , more money invested into sports programs and facilities ( and ' magic potion ' laboratories 😉 ) will win.
At the end of the day , it is all a distraction , but pleasant at that.

Horrende Antrittsgelder für alle Spieler!!! Sportlich ohne jeden Wert!!! Der Laver Cup gehört definitiv abgeschafft, dafür alle 4 Jahre einen Vergleich zwischen Europa u. dem Rest der Welt über 1 Woche ohne Antrittsgelder!!! Das wäre eine tolle Geschichte mit sportlichem Wert für alle Zuschauer + Spieler!!! Ganz wichtig auch: Ohne verschiedenartige Punktesysteme!!! Denn dann hätte heute Europa keinesfalls gewonnen, da Team World viel mehr Begegnungen für sich entscheiden konnte!
