Something I love about these type of clips is how unimpressed pedestrians look. If you ever skated seriously you know how incredibly difficult and impressive this is.
It's because most people don't care, they probably think "Oh wow, another person destroying the pavement and themselves. That's gonna come out of my pocket."

@@Lup3r One of them looked close, but in the end it doesn't really matter. Long boring answer: Used to work in medical publishing, and once did a training module where the NFL has sourced some of the top neurologists in the country to help develop a better helmet. IIRC there had recently been a spat of CTE-related violence that were making bad headlines for the league. The takeaway is that there's no possible way to protect your brain with a helmet when it comes to things like this, because the damage comes from the brain slapping the inside of your skull. You don't even have to hit the ground, you can get a minor concussion from whiplash, and the damage is also mostly from long-term accumulation. Most of the NFL has CTE because they're on painkillers and are slowly building up brain damage during practice and games. Skaters just self-medicate. Think of it like the bell that gets rung quietly and constantly. It's cool that Andy Anderson wants to promote safety, but that helmet isn't really protecting anybody that is doing stuff to flat like Joslin. Even a make is a chip off the dome from that height. Jaws might be the exception, but that's because he has some next-world landing gear.
