Can I disable it? Mine has come down while the key fob was in my pocket , obviously pressing against something and it opened my tailgate twice. If my truck was while in my garage I would have messed up my tailgate and my garage door
The first thing I would check is settings in the infotainment system. If you cannot find a solution there you may have to take it to your local dealership for them to have a look. I cannot imagine it is anything too serious. Could possibly be a fuse?
@Vehicle Visionary well I also took it through the car wash and it was just below freezing so I'm thinking it might have been frozen shut. I'll check it out and if that's not the issue, I'll call my dealership. Thank you!
There is RUclips video of a 3500HD diesel LT that pressing the button a second time will close the tailgate. Not sure why his closes and yours doesn't.
@@VehicleVisionary I just tried it on my 2022 2500HD LT. It will raise and lower the tailgate. The push button on the dash even shows an arrow for both up and down.

Did you ever find out? Just brought my new truck home and I can see it being an issue.

Same problem mines just won’t come down
@Sabrina muchwanka mine ended up being frozen. Took it through the car wash in 20 degree Temps. Lol
You need to pull the engine and check the
Section j12 of the wiring harness for damage.

For whatever reason it just did not have that feature on this particular truck. I have encountered several like that.

This one did not have the option. I tried that when I was shooting the video.

How do lock it dude
The tailgate locks when you lock the interior.
@@VehicleVisionary it still comes down while driving if the button is pushed, especially the keyfob button.
