Some of the Japanese translated D&D tabletop games just phonetically translated the word “cleric” into japanese. Since many japanese didn’t realize that the word cleric was just a regular word, people making certain video games assumed it was a name created for the D&D game and was hesitant to use it in their own games (even in the original Japanese).
22:04 this fight in the anime took 30 episodes with each episode being animated by a different studio to keep pace, this resulted in some parts of the fight being better animated than others because of the difference in talent working on each episode. You can see this in the other multi episode fights throughout the series as well.

Remembering that the hype for the show was unprecedented at it's time helps make the drawn-out and filler-prone stretches of the show easier to understand. It has it's brilliant moments, and abridged does a great job of both respecting the actual content, while also having a ton of fun with it. I think many people find the abridged to be superior due to it's ability to use so much of the source material and the time it's development afforded them to not repeat mistakes of the original authors.

Freeza loves to crush his opponents with words. He's been dominating everyone verbally from the beginning of the arc. I love how Goku's climactic arrival coincides with Freeza's inability to have the upper hand in a conversation with him xD

A source of frustration for Freeza is that he relishes the smack talk and delivering witty eloquent snipes. But all of those witty burns go right over Goku's head, he doesn't register that he's being insulted, which vexes Freeza, making Freeza inadvertently infuriate himself every time he snaps off a cutting remark Goku's way that doesn't land.
Evolutionary wise the saiyans bloodlust makes sense. Since they get stronger when they almost die. If you don't kill your opponent, they come back for you stronger in a couple weeks. If you don't fight, you have no way of becoming powerful. It legitimately makes sense biologically for them to be bloodthirsty warmongers.
I love how you say Goku is going to win because he is "optimistic and dumb, but also smart". The abridged makes him much worse, but those statements are still true for Goku even in the original lol
The TFS guys did an incredible job of writing humor and menace at the same time, such a specific blend and they nailed it. Speaking of TFS, they recently finished reacting to DBZA themselves, the last episode was super emotional, they cried, I cried, we all cried.

It's not "need a *rest* ", it's "Need a *rez* ", as in "resurrection" - healers in MMOs are usually able to learn how to resurrect (or "rez") a dead party member. The whole bit is *very* familiar if you have spent any time in a group in pretty much any MMO ever. :)

the reason frieza can control water and rocks is because of telekinesis, which is one of the basic usage of ki energy for fighters in dbz. this kinda shows that frieza is not really fighting seriously.
It’s because the counting was like 12 or 13 episodes prior. Lot of funny jokes and plot developments between then and well I wouldn’t say now because this came out years ago.
re the double baconwich it is easier if you make the outer ones crispy so I usually give them an extra 3 and a half minutes or so, but no more than 5 because then it goes too far and affects the taste, if you get the timing right it is delicious

Team Four Star is playing up Goku’s simplemindedness to a degree that Freeza finds infuriating - it makes a great contrast to how Vegeta and Freeza interacted. In the original version the fight between Freeza and Goku is played more seriously with a little levity here and there.
So, the way the power levels currently stack up, Frieza is currently at 60 Million, roughly 60 times more powerful than when he was fighting Piccolo. Goku is at 3 million. He's strong enough to affect Frieza with his attacks, but not strong enough to wound him very much. On the other hand, even Frieza holding back his power is outclassing everyone else.j Goku biting Frieza's tail is like stepping on a Lego. It doesn't actually do that much damage to your foot, it just hurts.
It's also really shocking and a little offensive, lol. Whenever I step on a Lego or an earring or just something that should not be there I kind of have the same wtf how dare reaction Frieza did

Usually it's White mage for healing magic, Black mage for elemental/damage dealing magic, Red mage for a mix of both at a lesser level, Blue mage for attacks learnt from watching enemies, and Summoner to summon creatures with various effects. Other than that there has been oddities like the Time Mage for buffs and weird effects, or even in FF5 the Geomancer whose attacks will vary depending on the environment.

To my understanding, it was the longest fight in animation history for decades. Until somewhat recently, when One Piece supposedly surpassed it.
