Keeping Nail and Kami in Piccolo's head is one of the BEST parts of the abridged series. I LOVE the pool table joke that turns into him somehow actually having a pool table.
Here's something to think about. Mr Popo is talking about the lookout. When he says, "All these squares make a circle." Its cause the lookout is circular but it has a square grid pattern.
"I wonder if Goku will come back? Let's find out!" And then that immediate look of "...welp" at the disclaimer read...I love it. X3 And there it is! I know I mentioned it in the comments I left on the last two reactions, but especially after the creator commentary that TFS made I always enjoy seeing how people react to Vegeta going way too far in just three words. Or...one word, really, but still. The moment it's said, he's not in control anymore. And the fact that they got every other character to be shocked at the line too...I think that's what helps sell it for me. Up until she breaks his arm. YES! I've been waiting for this too. He got so desperate that he went and literally purged all the evil out of himself... aaand THAT'S when he made an oopsie. While the purified half became Kami, his purged evil turned into a twin called the Demon King Piccolo, who tried to take over the world. That... didn't work out. After hundreds of years of being sealed, Piccolo was freed and tried again, but was beaten by a young Son Goku. But Piccolo spat out an egg that hatched into his reborn self (and good thing, too, cuz if Piccolo actually died then Kami would as well). The new Piccolo faced Goku years later for revenge. That... didn't work out, either. Then Raditz showed up, and you know what's been happening from there. Now Piccolo's about to rejoin with Kami, and that power-up will be a whole other league from when he fused with Nail.

Android #16, especially the Abridged version, to me, is the most adorable character in this. So gentle, seemingly not the killing machine Dr. Gero seemed to intend on making. I'd want to take him to a zoo if he were real, first an aviary of course, but then tell him: "there's animals other than birds you may be interested in seeing!" and take him to a zoo, show him the lions, tigers, bears, monkeys, chimps, gorillas etc. I think he was a wasted character in a sense that he would've been amazing to have been kept in the series. I think he'd be a Park Ranger with #17 if he were in Super :)

It's a shame we'll never get a true dbza buu saga, the Buu Bit that touches the core of it is almost a cck tease of what could have been... still worth it.

love the reactions, if you wanna watch the DBZA Kai episodes they made (abridged recap of the abridged series, so VERY short). once you pass episode 45 (midway to the end) you can watch Kai ep 1,2, and 3 DO NOT WATCH EPISODE 3.5. Kai 1 covers ep 1-10 Kai 2 covers ep 11-30 Kai 2.9 (not mandatory) covers ep 31 Kai 3 covers ep 32-43 Kai 3.5 covers 44-60 I highly reccomend watching them before the final stretch (45-60) because this is the longest arc and watching them just before episode 60 will leave a Kai gap from 44-59. His good side became Kami. The evil side became King Piccolo. Both grew old but King Piccolo managed to use the dragonballs to regain his youth, then tried to take over the world. Goku put a stop to that but not before King Piccolo spit out an egg. Thus was born our Piccolo who started semi-evil, but he was more like a rival to Goku. It wasn't until he kidnapped Gohan that he started to open his heart up and eventually become good himself, even sacrificing himself against Nappa back at the start of DBZ here. But he is tied to Kami still, that is why if one dies so does the other.
It is kinda interesting to me that the androids in his timeline were so much more dickish. I guess Gero's programming actually took over there for some reason?
@Brasswatchman im pretty sure it's because of trunks time travel that they are different. Dr. Gero probably changed their programming. In trunks timelime goku died early so he most likely changed them to focus on world domination instead of killing goku which caused them to be more evil.

Hey, I have that same glass. Four of them. They're pretty good, though I mostly use them for everything *but* alcoholic drinks I like them because they look nice, pretty much. And 16 is hilarious, and we, the fans, will quote everything he *birds, birds, Goku, birds, kill Son Goku.*
If you haven't already check out their Hellsing Ultimate Abridged series it's as good as the DBZA stuff. Though it would be good for Halloween content.
So if you want to watch Team Four Star stuff in particular, I *highly* recommend their Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. Other fantastic abridged series by other creators include Sword Art Online Abridged and Goblin Slayer Abridged. All or any of them is worth a shot in my opinion! The last one especially might work out if you're into or familiar with D&D. Take it easy!

The 'all these squares make a circle' bit? First, that was not looped. Lani did the whole thing in one go, varying the enunciation here and there. Secondly, the whole reason they did it is because the original version has Popo being nervous due to the goings on, but OUR Popo would never be that nervous for any reason. So the logical alternative became 'he's high as fuck'.
So the big ginger Android you love? In the show he's an android modeled after Dr. Geros (old man androids) son, who was a member of the red ribbon army. Dr geros son just happened to be at the red ribbon army base that goku turned into a steaming crater during the original dragonball. So Dr gero has a legit reason to have beef with goku, this isn't all just random Later edit because I love these too much to contain myself to wait till the end to comment, I spent my entire childhood calling tien third eye blind too lmao
Don't spoil stuff, the canon Gevo (who 16 was modeled after) died getting shot during an unspecified skirmish, him dying during Goku's assault was a change TFS did because they thought it was a better reason for Gero to hate Goku than "he destroyed my workplace".

I highly reccomend watching them before the final stretch (45-60) because this is the longest arc and watching them just before episode 60 will leave a Kai gap from 44-59.

So a bit of piccolo history 101 (not going to spoil). Long ago a super namekian came to earth and split himself in two. His good side became Kami. The evil side became King Piccolo. Both grew old but King Piccolo managed to use the dragonballs to regain his youth, then tried to take over the world. Goku put a stop to that but not before King Piccolo spit out an egg. Thus was born our Piccolo who started semi-evil, but he was more like a rival to Goku. It wasn't until he kidnapped Gohan that he started to open his heart up and eventually become good himself, even sacrificing himself against Nappa back at the start of DBZ here. But he is tied to Kami still, that is why if one dies so does the other.

@Brasswatchman im pretty sure it's because of trunks time travel that they are different. Dr. Gero probably changed their programming. In trunks timelime goku died early so he most likely changed them to focus on world domination instead of killing goku which caused them to be more evil.

So if you want to watch Team Four Star stuff in particular, I *highly* recommend their Hellsing Ultimate Abridged. Other fantastic abridged series by other creators include Sword Art Online Abridged and Goblin Slayer Abridged. All or any of them is worth a shot in my opinion! The last one especially might work out if you're into or familiar with D&D. Take it easy!

The 'all these squares make a circle' bit? First, that was not looped. Lani did the whole thing in one go, varying the enunciation here and there. Secondly, the whole reason they did it is because the original version has Popo being nervous due to the goings on, but OUR Popo would never be that nervous for any reason. So the logical alternative became 'he's high as fuck'.

So the big ginger Android you love? In the show he's an android modeled after Dr. Geros (old man androids) son, who was a member of the red ribbon army. Dr geros son just happened to be at the red ribbon army base that goku turned into a steaming crater during the original dragonball. So Dr gero has a legit reason to have beef with goku, this isn't all just random

Technically Geros son "died from an enemy bullet" so not by Goku... but thats dumb so my headcannon is that it was during Gokus attack.
Don't spoil stuff, the canon Gevo (who 16 was modeled after) died getting shot during an unspecified skirmish, him dying during Goku's assault was a change TFS did because they thought it was a better reason for Gero to hate Goku than "he destroyed my workplace".
