I wanted to let you know, I made my first card like this, and gave it to my doctor today, for wishing him a "Holiday with sparkle" and blessings. He LOVED it! Said it was SO pretty! Thank you for teaching us how to do this project. I am thrilled with using my scraps this way! You ROCK!
Natasha, I love this card! I spend more time saving Scraps than I might do anything else. I love paper piecing and using up old pieces of paper... so you've given me a whole new outlook on this tip. Thank you so much!
This is the first time I've seen glitter used as "grout" and I think it is fantastic! I think it really does allow more variety in the paper strips. Thank you!
It’s true I would’ve never picked those different papers to go together. But after you assembled it it looked lovely! I love this idea! Thank you for sharing!♥️
Strip and herringbone pattern "quilt" backgrounds are exactly what I make with my scraps. I don't think I've had a failure yet, even when I'm not sure the patterns will work together. When I have some nice sized scraps I will spend a few moments cutting them into strips and putting them in separate envelopes or containers. They make great projects to put together while listening to a podcast or watching a video. I haven't used glitter in years but might give it a go. I love vellum on just about anything. Nicely done!!!
Hi Natasha, you wowed me again. I had no idea where you were going with the gaps and tried to second guess never thinking of the glitter tip, that was pure genius, thank you again for another great video, have a happy day 🤗❤️🇬🇧😘
When I first started watching you I would sometimes think “well, that’s not going to work!” BUT I’ve quickly learned that your ideas ALWAYS work & look amazing! Thanks for doing what you do & teaching me new techniques! Your kiddos & family are lucky to have such a creative & rather sweet person such as you. Keep it up! I always look forward to your videos.
Love, love, LOVE this card!!! You really elevated the "use your scraps" technique! I'm a fan of mixed patterns style, and what crafter can turn down an opportunity to get out the glitter... I always have pages from paper pads that don't inspire me and I think this could be a great way for me to use them. Thanks so very much for the inspiration! As always, I can't wait to see what's next from you.
Love how the glitter “dresses” up this card! I have lots of glitter I never use because it’s so messy... never thought to use my double-sided stick paper from Scrapbook.com to adhere the glitter to. Now I’m getting all those colors of glitter out to use with my scraps. Thanks so much for the tutorial!! And I have subscribed 😀
Ok, I'll admit that I didn't have high hopes for this one as I was watching the strip piecing. But girl!!🥰 That glitter really kicked it up to another level. I don't normally even like glitter, but I like the way you described that adhesive paper as being super sticky. I don't like glitter flaking off everywhere. And then the layered ovals.👍🏻😁 I am very impressed with the final outcome.😎
Funny story: After having watched your video I went straight into my crafting room and recreated your idea. My hubby came in, we talked, he left. And a few moments later he shouted from another room: „I‘ve got GLITTER on my face!!!“ This stuff really does get everywhere.😂 And I really think this „mortar“ is what all my other cards have been lacking. Thank you for another great idea!❤️
That’s what I thought as I was watching her. I decided to do mine in tone-on-tone neutrals with gold embossed word ‘peace’ on top. They are turning out beautiful! What colors are yours?
I have alot of strips.. I'm always making strips too for future! Lol I dont have any double sided adhesive sheets, so I glue each strip. My relaxing time. But will check and get some. Love the surprise of the glitter between each.Watching I thought you left space and said to myself. She has space between..lol know why now. I like that. I do the corner or corners of my envelope to go with my card. Enjoy as always.. thanks again for sharing.. going to do some of these for Easter.
Wow! This is awesome. Looking forward to trying this. I have so many scraps it could keep me busy for a month or so. 😂. I really can see this as a lovely Christmas card, too. Thank you, as always! 🥰💕
Love this, and I sure do have lots of strips and scraps. No double sided adhesive, and no glitter, though. I will have to come up with another idea, along the lines of this one, but using what I do have. Thanks for another great idea and video!
This a really fun technique. You can also use foil in the gaps. Just press it in with a bone folder. Saw it done on Sam Calcott 's/Mixed up Crafts, RUclips video. Stay safe and well. 🇿🇦
I love this kind of card-it is easy, satisfying and good recycling.🙂 I save the edges that I trim from card fronts; especially those that I have ink blended, when I use alcohol ink or glitter paper. ❤️ Great hint about lining up the front with the double sided adhesive!
Pretty and great idea. First I thought it was done with washi tape 🤓 if you run the glitter on paper through your die cutting machine, then the glitter sticks really well.
Love love love it!! I have to try this!! The only thing I'd change..or well .. Cheat on... The stamped sentiment on the glitter oval.. I'd pop the sentiment on the oval FIRST and then glitter the edges - thus using less glitter ;) ..like you did with the scrap strips and glitter between.
So pretty. Love the different colors and patterns. Great recycle of scraps. TFS. Most of my scraps are plain. Seeing your card makes me rethink, perhaps I can do some stenciling or use small stamps to add interest to the plain strips? I might give that a try. Again, you have inspired.
This is a great card. I am useless at using up scraps, they usually go in the bin eventually. However, I am going to give this idea a go. The glitter really adds to the overall effect. Thank you Natasha xx
You are AMAZING❣❣❣ The simplicity of your ideas just bowls me over card after card after card❣❣🤸♀️🤸♀️🤸♀️

I love that you explain what you're doing as well as why you're doing it.
Lovely card especially glittered sentiment Fram 💕💕💕💕thanks for sharing!
I love how simple but creative your techniques are! I never would have thought to leave gaps between the paper strips and apply glitter. So clever!
Wow, your "use up scraps" video is amazing. I love the simplicity to create an amazing card.
Thank you Natasha x
Natasha, I love this card! I spend more time saving Scraps than I might do anything else. I love paper piecing and using up old pieces of paper... so you've given me a whole new outlook on this tip. Thank you so much!
I love how you filled in with the glitter. That just made the whole card "pop". Thank you for sharing.
Just in time I have to make 6 Thank You cards. This is great as the idea is the same but the scraps are all different so all are unique! Thank you!!
I have used scraps and made backgrounds before but it never occurred to me to space them so you can add glitter! What a great tip! Thank you.

Amazing job, like it, wonderful card 👍🌼👍👋👍🥰
I’ve done this with my scraps before but leaving the gap for glitter was BRILLIANT ❣️
I absolutely love this card; what a wonderful way to do a new technique and use left overs!
Hi Natasha, you wowed me again. I had no idea where you were going with the gaps and tried to second guess never thinking of the glitter tip, that was pure genius, thank you again for another great video, have a happy day 🤗❤️🇬🇧😘
The glitter really adds a lot to this card. Really nice!
One of my favorite ways to use scrap strips!
Love this. I have used narrow scraps for backgrounds but never thought about leaving a space for glitter. Brilliant!! Thank you
Tyfs a video that not only uses paper scraps, but another creative way to use up glitter! I’m feeling so inspired!
Love how you use up your scraps in different ways! I have no excuses now!!!
Wow Natasha, love the idea of the glitter onto the sticky gaps.

Loved how you used solid as well as patterned strips to create that beautiful background and card Natasha. Thanks for sharing! 😃😘✨👍🏾
I really love this idea. I hate throwing away good paper. I will definitely try this.

Another winner. I can see doing this in left over Christmas scraps. Easy cards to make. Thank you so much for sharing your ideas with all of us.
Yay. Fab! I made 18 cards out of paper scraps!!! 😳😲😱. I file mine in plastic sleeves sorted by colour x
I didn't think the random scraps would make a very attractive card, but I was wrong. It is so cute, especially with the silver glitter.
Yes that glitter was perfect!! Great touch!!!
Wow! I've done this with my scraps but NEVER thought to leave room for glitter. Will try this soon!
Soooo great!!! Unbelievable how many ideas you show every time. I want to make it all, but I can not keep up 😱❤️❤️❤️
Another great card. Great for doing with gel press papers too. Thanks Natasha xx
Awesome card, never thought about using glitter in between the scraps. How cool!
Another great project. Gorgeous, love the card and technique. Thank you for sharing.

That’s an awesome idea! Thanks for the idea. I’m going to make tags for presents with mine.

Wow, I've made scrap cards, but I like the glitter on this card. This is a must-try to use some of the glitter I have in my stash (and seldom use).
Loved the added glitter in between.. I've got to try this one for sure.

Pretty and great idea. First I thought it was done with washi tape 🤓 if you run the glitter on paper through your die cutting machine, then the glitter sticks really well.
Kinda sad I can only give this one one thumbs up. I really enjoyed this. Thank you.

Fantastic. I'm impressed. I have done this but it never looked as good as yours. It's the glitter that makes all the difference.
I really love this card Natasha. Going to to do it now. Thanks for sharing all your ideas.
This is a great card. I am useless at using up scraps, they usually go in the bin eventually. However, I am going to give this idea a go. The glitter really adds to the overall effect. Thank you Natasha xx
