BRAVO. This piece is a monster, technically...I admire anyone who can do it so convincingly. It definitely takes a great artist, that is for sure. Stravinsky's music is "hard" and "harder." Most people do not know that this was not an original violin-piano composition by Stravinsky. It was, I believe, a result of collaboration with Samuel Dushkin, as most of his violin-piano music is. The Violin Concerto was one of the only things he wrote specifically for the violin. Virtuall all the rest are transcriptions. It's from "The Fairy's Kiss" actually, aka "Baiser de la Fee" (sorry if my French spelling is off.) Augustin, YOU * ROCK * MY * WORLD.
He always has everything memorized.... Most of us can't do that, especially for sonatas and stuff like this. Concertos yeah but chamber music is another story. He must be a genius!
A fine tone and so coloured sound whatever you play (Paganini caprices, Ysaye sonatas, Bartòk concerto, Brahms aso..) You give sens of the music you play toward truth and freedom as explained Sergei Celibidache..bravo Maestro, you're an artist.. thank you so much..
This is terrific fiddling which adds enormously to the stature of this piece. Played like this the piece is more heart stopping than diverting, really great.
Thank you so much Augustin, and your nice pianist too.....always an absolute pleasure to watch you both create this amazing and awesome music 🎶 together. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Immaculate! Very nice and tidy ;) This must have taken hours/days (and yes of course, years) to prepare!? very perfect, in a way also thoughtful and well-coordinated phrasing
Bravo Augustin❤❤❤

My son remembers everything. I wish he kept up the alto sax. Mad respect for the Maestro!
Stravinsky is easier to memorize than, say Bartok or Shoenberg, since there is clear imagery and logic in his pieces.
