ARE YOU UNSTOPPABLE? GOOD AT GETTING CRACKING WITH THINGS OR ....?

- I feel that in days gone by I was unstoppable and found it easy to get on with things. Maybe because I have always been diary and watch controlled. Do I now lack the motivation to get cracking?
Now though, I become reasonably unstoppable - the main problem is the getting started bit!
We are our own worst enemies.
There are many different ways to feel guilty about not achieving our objectives
In accordance with our high standards we judge ourselves.
Illness , recovering from phycological pain or ongoing physical pain inflicted by spinal injuries, head trauma, ongoing
Denies unstoppable movement, mind and body .
All strength goes into strength to maintain another day of pain .
Energy moves in the slow process of getting more able to do things again .
We don't need to live with others standards regarding how much is done ,
We need to readjust our own individual standards to surrender without holding guilt .
❤
Your final sentence says it all!! Thank you. D
Morning Dee love the story about the cat s 😊have a good day
Thank you! You too! D
Morning Dee. You worked so very hard. Now you deserve not to! Just do what you want, when you want. Hope you and Myschka have a good day. 🌹🌹🌹
Good morning! Thank you - I will tell myself that you said so. D
I do believe that might be the ego, id or the....? Ma'am@@Cheshirelass
@@utopia9330 superego? Long time since have thought of these 3!! D
@@Cheshirelass PS, 3...thank you for the clarification. (Puth) I'm Only One Call Away, if you choose...Top to the morning to you Ma'am.
Oh dear Dee. Are you my sister? I am exactly the same way. And now, after years…and especially this past year of stress and emotional, physical and financial exhaustion, I am truly folding myself away into me..the quiet…the privacy. There are many consequences which have negatively zapped my health, my motivation, etc….. I have been resting..but there are still calls to make (glitches in every one of my bills being increased to the amount of $30 - $50 higher…or more). And I do dust and wash the dishes and feed outside critters and am trying, real hard, to get a move on discarding, donating and/or maybe selling some things I no longer find I need.
And I feel a bit guilty (which I don’t like at all) …but I allow the thought/feeling to pass on by and focus on reading, watching baby wildlife, or drinking my tea or coffee, or just stretching…and think of all for which I am grateful.
Yes…grandson finally out of here…but he needs to get his big mattress out of my back room. Much nicer…just these last 4/5 days and nights have been so peaceful…I think..I just want to enjoy it, be aware of it, and focus on the positive energy I’m beginning to experience again.
Of course things need repairing around here. Thinking of checking to see if a volunteers help the elderly a bit…around my area.
It’s just a thought. My surviving daughter works long hours and on some nights/weekends she works as a private nanny. She’s alone too..with her sickly cat….but we both want our own space and her home is as tiny as mine. Her cat is very old and has some kidney issues. She is a really mean cat if she doesn’t know you…and she probably would scare my cats . Not leaving her in back room..and I know I’d wind up taking care of another cat..which I don’t mind…but it’s so peaceful here right now. She’s a lot like me in some ways.
Thank you for always speaking from your heart, with such grace and gentle kindness. And I adore your smile and your little laugh in between.
I am so grateful you are in my life. Hugs to you…have a rest. Just let go…. 🌈🌟💫🫶👍🏼💖💖💖💖💖💖. Maybe it’s our turn..(like that Diana Ross song I love so much: ITS MY TURN). You are so fortunate you have friends who care. I have gone into isolation mode right now…and I’m not feeling guilty about that, Dee. 🤔😍
Checking to see if there is any help available for those who need it sounds like a positive way forward. Go for it - and enjoy the peace of having your home back to yourself. Can't remember that song - will have to check it out. Take care. D
You look beautiful today- love what your doing with your hair 😊
Oh thank you! D
i am so lucky to be watching this right now
I love the story about the cats and the pens. 😊 These days it takes me more time to get started on tasks and I do less in a day than before. I often wonder how I got so much done in a day when I juggled work and children but still had time for sewing etc. 😅
So true! I feel the same. D
I’m learning to be unstoppable and get started when needed, thanks
you have helped. With my self love journey as a male. I’’m 20 year old and I feel much understanding of my behavior and feelings when I listen to you. Thank you for making a difference in my life
You are so welcome! D
Thank you for sharing Dee. At my age, 89, I just do what I can to take care of myself. Love always ❤❤
Love that! Yvonne - just what you need to do. D
I have a hard time getting started because I have a soul crushing feeling that anything I do isn't worth it. I'm trying to mend this part of my psychology, but it's there nonetheless. I have many talents and even when I get started doing something I fizzle out too quickly. It's a terrible feeling to have and I know it comes from my childhood. Awful. Thank you, Dee!
@jesswhite7161 Please, don't let that soul crushing feeling take over - celebrate your talents - and set targets to finish things and build in a reward for doing so. Show that inner child of yours that you care about her - and the her she became by not letting the past spoil your present. May I ask, have you had therapy to support you in this? Please no need to reply to that if you prefer not to. Take care - head high, shoulders back and let the light in you shine! D
@@Cheshirelass I have in the past, but I feel that most of my healing is coming from prayer and meditation. I trust in a higher power and it helps tremendously. Thank you!
@@Cheshirelass Part of the problem is that since I was a teenager, I have had this pressing fear that I am running out of time and it prevents me from doing a lot of things.
@@jesswhite7161 If you can, I would check out therapists so that you are not letting these thoughts ruin the rest of your life. Remember that thoughts are not real.. but we enable them and they can become 'our reality' even though not based on fact, on logic. D
@@Cheshirelass I agree
I have 7 inside cats….it’s a circus with pens, slippers, papers, you name it…..one of my cats has even learned how to flush the toilet! I agree, some days are difficult to get started, which balances out with the days that are easier…..thanks for sharing your thoughts…..
Oh wow! Be great if used loo instead of a tray - then flushed! D
Thank you for this observation. We all have our struggles but must remember to be kind to ourselves. For me, the season “winter” totally changes my thought processes. I too go with the flow during that more so than other seasons. Hmmmmmm? Timely topic. Stay warm and cozy.
You keep cosy and warm too. D
I totally relate, Marion! 🙃
26 pens 😂 You were a very good enabling pen-provider to those lucky kitties 😉❤️
Now that I no longer have to work I find myself in the same predicament. I busted my butt ALL my life because I had to. Now that I don't have to, it is very strange! Have I become lazy or just allergic to standing still? It is so nice to finally have MY time. Why must I feel guilty (or whatever the feeling) now? I tell myself that I earned it, maybe I did. Thank you Dee for sharing this. I am not alone!
You are very far from alone! It takes a while for us to settle after retirement if was no longer feel that we have a purpose. D
thank you for sharing dee, always enjoy life❤️ very much appreciated! May Godbless you.
Definitely. Once I dedicate myself to a project or job or whatever it is, I'm very good at sticking with it and seeing it through to the end. However, getting started is always difficult.
Thee and me both! D
I feel loved in this channel. Have a great day dear Dee! ❤
Thank you - you too. D
That's bc you are! 😊
Hi Dee…I think at our age we have earned the right to do whatever we want!…just enough to keep happy & healthy ❤☕️☃️🪴
Absolutely! Life’s too short not to embrace every moment and do what brings us joy and fulfillment. It's important to strike that balance between keeping ourselves happy and healthy. Whether it's savoring a cup of coffee, tending to plants, or enjoying the beauty of a snowy day, these little things add so much to our lives.
❤ perfect timing, thanks as always xx
Hello Dee, i try to get on with everything ,being a full time carer you feel like you have to ,but i've been reminded again to take care and slow down at times,i have pneumonia again, i should of learnt the first time ,but needed reminding again obviously.Take care of yourself too , none of us are superhuman❤
Hope you are better soon. Take care D

🙋♀️😊Hi Dee, Adelaide 6.40pm. I’m retired now, and of course my routine is totally different.
** You sound so much like me… Does that make me normal.? Haha.
Some days I have my list and just going with the flow and doing what’s needed is enough.
Other days , something quite unexpected comes over me , and I just go and go and go.
An old (aged) friend once told me ‘ A little bit often, keeps us on top of things’.
Sounds right to me 😊. Have a great day Dee. 😘 for Mischka.
😊❤️🏡🐱🌲💐
Not normal - to aim for normal is boring - just be the wonderful, unique individual that you are and do what suits you - and when! D
finally caught up with your videos. i love hearing your voice and stuff you are talking in your videos. english is not my first language, so sometimes, i also found new words in your videos. thank you for making these videos, i hope you are always happy and healthy!
Wow! Thank you so much - you get a gold star for your effort! D

I love order
Before I can relax , to enjoy my experience in thoughts,
I clean and clean and organise
Its a weird ritual
Helping me organise my mind to become focused on my idea 😅
I like your last line there - especially as that is what I don't do, but would benefit from doing. D
I do the same thing,I talk myself out of doing something .
Hi Dee! After all your hard work in your life you deserve to slow down a little bit now. I feel that way about my own life of retirement now. It is hard to get started on chores I don't like to do, but they get done eventually. My black cat knows how to open cupboard doors and drawers. She is such an unusual cat, but so is my Turkish Van girl...who loves water!😊❤ We had to put our 15-year-old feral tabby down a couple of weeks ago ...his name was Walter and we loved him dearly...he was a sweetheart.😞
I have just got back from feeding a friend's 2 Turkish Van cats - had one myself many years ago - as always with me, a rescue cat. D
How wonderful! Aren't they unusual cats!? I rescued Emily and one day put her picture on a facebook post and someone wrote to me and told me she was probably a Turkish Van, and if she liked water, then she probably was. Emily is a jealous cat but sweet and affectionate.

🎉 We burn ourselves out
running on empty
body physical / minds limitations are exhausted,
Soldiering on , stiff upper Lip ......English expression,.......to not feel or show emotions .
Holding pain without expressing grief with a stiff upper lip ,
To hide our feelings can kill us eventually.
bottling pain from life is revisiting the pain once again .
🎉❤
Very true - if we push things down, to hide feelings - they bounce back. D
Hey Dee. There is life 'on paper - life with logic' . . and then there is 'life'. Maybe the act and behaviour of 'getting started', in your case, activates a deep-rooted emotional trigger, that connects to an uncomfortable past emotional state, re-instating it into your present. You mentioned your past behaviours when you were exhausted working from early morning to late at night, and maybe at the same time, other areas of your life were tiring; so naturally, getting started is difficult. You mention that once you have got going there is no stopping you. So, I wonder, when you have got going, your emotional state connects with the truth of your present behaviour, rather than the fear of a past one. Much love to you x x
I like that idea. Thanks for sharing it. D
Good morning Dee
I really work hard at not procrastinating, however there are those days❤
if honest, I imagine that many of us hold our hand up to that. D
Good morning to you! 😊 It's great that you're making a conscious effort to stay on top of things, but it's completely natural to have those days where procrastination sneaks in. Sometimes, a little break can actually help rejuvenate and refocus our minds. Just remember to be kind to yourself and acknowledge the progress you’ve made.
❤
I have a habit of leaving the washing up the house is really clean bur those pile of pots seem to defeat me on a weekly basis

Task paralysis. That's what I call it. 😅
I like it
@@Highwind452 Hahaha Hahaha 😆 🤣 😂 😅
That's it for many reasons
The idea to begin becomes a huge object to avoid.
When we are ready to deal with the task
We often realise we made it difficult
over thinking the task
to become difficult when it was possibly not at all.
This, yes.

Morning Dee.
Some days I wake up feeling energized and super motivated to get things done, but there are days that I struggle to get out of bed.
I'd rather wake up energetic every day, but that's not always possible.
I've been trying to maintain a positive and optimistic mindset. Is it possible to be happy and optimistic 100% of the time?
Have a lovely day dear!
I am the same. I just gear my day up accordingly - often a struggle day if I have had a busy (for me) day the day before, though I endeavour not to allow this to become a self-fulfilling prophesy by using lots of self talk the night before and as soon as I open my eyes. D
