ARE YOU UNSTOPPABLE? GOOD AT GETTING CRACKING WITH THINGS OR ....?

  • I feel that in days gone by I was unstoppable and found it easy to get on with things. Maybe because I have always been diary and watch controlled. Do I now lack the motivation to get cracking?
Now though, I become reasonably unstoppable - the main problem is the getting started bit!

We are our own worst enemies.
There are many different ways to feel guilty about not achieving our objectives
In accordance with our high standards we judge ourselves.
Illness , recovering from phycological pain or ongoing physical pain inflicted by spinal injuries, head trauma, ongoing
Denies unstoppable movement, mind and body .
All strength goes into strength to maintain another day of pain .
Energy moves in the slow process of getting more able to do things again .
We don't need to live with others standards regarding how much is done ,
We need to readjust our own individual standards to surrender without holding guilt .

Oh dear Dee. Are you my sister? I am exactly the same way. And now, after years…and especially this past year of stress and emotional, physical and financial exhaustion, I am truly folding myself away into me..the quiet…the privacy. There are many consequences which have negatively zapped my health, my motivation, etc….. I have been resting..but there are still calls to make (glitches in every one of my bills being increased to the amount of $30 - $50 higher…or more). And I do dust and wash the dishes and feed outside critters and am trying, real hard, to get a move on discarding, donating and/or maybe selling some things I no longer find I need.
And I feel a bit guilty (which I don’t like at all) …but I allow the thought/feeling to pass on by and focus on reading, watching baby wildlife, or drinking my tea or coffee, or just stretching…and think of all for which I am grateful.
Yes…grandson finally out of here…but he needs to get his big mattress out of my back room. Much nicer…just these last 4/5 days and nights have been so peaceful…I think..I just want to enjoy it, be aware of it, and focus on the positive energy I’m beginning to experience again.
Of course things need repairing around here. Thinking of checking to see if a volunteers help the elderly a bit…around my area.
It’s just a thought. My surviving daughter works long hours and on some nights/weekends she works as a private nanny. She’s alone too..with her sickly cat….but we both want our own space and her home is as tiny as mine. Her cat is very old and has some kidney issues. She is a really mean cat if she doesn’t know you…and she probably would scare my cats . Not leaving her in back room..and I know I’d wind up taking care of another cat..which I don’t mind…but it’s so peaceful here right now. She’s a lot like me in some ways.
Thank you for always speaking from your heart, with such grace and gentle kindness. And I adore your smile and your little laugh in between.
I am so grateful you are in my life. Hugs to you…have a rest. Just let go…. 🌈🌟💫🫶👍🏼💖💖💖💖💖💖. Maybe it’s our turn..(like that Diana Ross song I love so much: ITS MY TURN). You are so fortunate you have friends who care. I have gone into isolation mode right now…and I’m not feeling guilty about that, Dee. 🤔😍

Hey Dee. There is life 'on paper - life with logic' . . and then there is 'life'. Maybe the act and behaviour of 'getting started', in your case, activates a deep-rooted emotional trigger, that connects to an uncomfortable past emotional state, re-instating it into your present. You mentioned your past behaviours when you were exhausted working from early morning to late at night, and maybe at the same time, other areas of your life were tiring; so naturally, getting started is difficult. You mention that once you have got going there is no stopping you. So, I wonder, when you have got going, your emotional state connects with the truth of your present behaviour, rather than the fear of a past one. Much love to you x x
