I definitely want to pick this up at some point; through some cosmic quirk, I've skipped over every other version of Hagrid's Hut, so it's one of the few prominent Hogwarts-adjacent locations that I don't own. I have a majority of the 2021-23 Hogwarts sets which come primarily from the first two films, so I definitely want this one as it fits the best, design-wise.
This would be my third version of Hagrid's Hut, but I will get it to go with the original one and the one that came with Aragog. By the way, with those pieces to connect the stump and the small pumpkin patch, the new Forbidden Forest set can be connected to Hagrid's Hut.
In these last 3 set, LEGO has seriously increased the amount of details, textures, volume on every part. New sets are more polished than lego HP 2018 2021
If you could pick Hagrid hut or boathouse and owlary with one would tou choose? As this 2 sets would be similar in price of just Hagrid hut. I'm a big Harry Potter fan, but just got interested in LEGO so it would be my first purchase
When I see videos from years ago, it's só noticeable how much more confident you've gotten while talking. More organized. It's nice to see the improvement.
I already someone swapping the pumpkins and the Malfoy stand... so that Malfoy is actually looking through the windows... really weird that instructions put it the other way around to begin with... Or at least the building should've been made so Malfoy isn't staring at a wall.
Could someone recommend this over the sorting hat which to get ? Only recently last year started getting sets got owlery and boat house yesterday maybe I could this next instead of sorting hat since I don’t have Hagrid hut yet
I haven’t finished building the sorting hat just yet, but so far it feels the sound brick makes the set feel too much for too little. The build of it looks great, but value wise I think this is stronger so far. I’ll be reviewing that hat later this week though!
That portrait is Basil Fronsac, a ex-headmaster of Hogwarts and he had belongs to Ravenclaw. In Order of the Phoenix videogame, he says a phrase that I repeat constantly: "A healthy mind is a inquisitive mind". Like as: "Question everything. Why?" Haha
Absolutely, as much as I prefer Prisoner of Azkaban and love that that set has both sections, this is far for detailed inside and out. For the scene too, it’s incredibly accurate
It annoyed me they made the pumpkins so small in the previous version. It annoys me even more they had the chance to make things right and they didn’t.
It's nice...but I'm not sure it's worth the price for someone like me who has the previous ones. Fortunately Fnac here already has all the new March sets with 15% discount, so the hit was a bit less. But I would probably advise anyone more financially responsible than me to wait 'cause Amazon will quickly put 20%+ discounts on these sets.
Harry, Ron and Hermione in any set in general is getting old, especially the younger versions from the first two films. At least they have different torsos, pity Draco is repeated. In general this set is tempting, especially as I don't have the 2019 version.
I saw it listed on Big W yesterday for $93!! They also had the boat house for $45 I think, I wish my local one stocked it earlier cause I could have saved tonnes

The texture and use of colour made such a big impact. It looks way better than using giant pieces and stickers

Really neat set. And yeah, when I finished, first thing I did was switch around the two small side plates, so Malfoy can look inside the window.

I'd personally get Hagrid's Hut. It's just a cooler set and it would go better with the other sets you got.
