I generally can't afford Peter's stuff but I appreciate that he doesn't make junk. Always thought put into the details.
But it is nice to work towards it tho, I have his travelers bag and quality is definitely in the forefront.
Yup pete’s stuff are too expensive, if he would make them a bit more at the reach of almost everyone, would definitely be way more appreciated, noting that yes most of petes stuff is really good. I dont know if its a YT strategy to keep people “wanting” but thats why i stopped watching, this vid just popped in on my recommended list … so … !

The lack of blade is indeed a lifesaver for people who travel for a living!

I know. I can’t bring myself to throw any of the packaging away.
Used to be into photographer a lot and now am more into Motorsports and mechanics so the pirate channel has been my favorite!!
I can definitely tell that it's a high quality item and that a lot of work went into the product and presentation, but I'm not too sure why I'd spend $95 for this instead of a Leatherman tool with the bit kit (or maybe even a Victorinox tool with bit kit).
DUDE YOU DON'T GET IT: it's his name on it!! and it comes with a pouch three times as big as the tool itself, which you can put on your shelf and never use it again since it doesn't have for example sd-card slots as well. also you'll spend a fortune replacing single bits because only the whole bit-set will be available as replacement. ...don't buy a 20$ smallrig cam-tool. they're much smaller and have the bit's already attached to it. man, can't wait until he brings out hair products with build myst filters and rgb light nutz shavers!
Very true, however one thing I’m thinking of is a leatherman or multi-tool mostly all have a blade/ scissors which wouldn’t go over well while flying. This tool shouldn’t have an issue with passing through security checks?
Diversity is fun. But, gerber makes smaller pocket tools for bits as well. Or if it's "just" a couple of screwdrivers you want and some hex, then there's foldable bike tools for not much.

I'd get both. This one's a dedicated camera tool for my camera bag. Using this for its designated functions saves wear and tear on the general purpose tool.
Edit: As someone else said, it's a genuine Peter McKinnon. Designed, developed, and tested by a professional and passionate Photographer, the quality will make it worth the price as soon as I can afford it.
I used to love this channel, now it’s just a home shopping channel and DJI/canon sales demo for new products.
I'm sure others feel the same way, but the amount of thought and creative engineering that went into this looks insane. Nice work PM and team

I never would've thought I needed an Allen wrench in my bag until I had a light stand try to come apart during an event. Now I keep it in my flash cube at all times (Nomatic x PM, of course). I don't see myself needing this exact camera tool but it's a great idea for photographers who are in the field a lot. Great work, Pete.

Honestly looking forward to this. This coming from someone who isn’t particularly crazy about Pete (and he has given me zero reason not to like him, there is just something I can’t put my finger on) The price is definitely right on the driver and I see way more than just photographers picking these up. The driver looks well built and I hope they can stand up to some abuse. I’ll be ordering mine as soon as they are available. Good luck to you,on your new venture!
Love the thought and engineering that went into this, but it's about $75 too expensive compared to other equivalent tools.

BOSCH, Makita and some other industrial tool manufacturers literally make bit tool kits of the same if not smaller sizes, for like 15 bucks... And you get 5x5 (25) different bit sizes and shapes.
This could be actually useful for FPV stuff, as well.

@@IIIIIIIlII Yeah, 'INCREDIBLY' is superlative and a bit much, but you know some people have money to spend on nice stuff they like. I've certainly spent more money than this on things that can be gotten cheaper, but I liked what I bought.

@@IIIIIIIlII to elaborate, on some days I don't plan on taking a bunch of gear with me. I hike a couple miles for a shoot sometimes, and saving space/weight goes a long ways. My bag can weigh 50lbs+ with all of my gear
Having an all in one piece of kit that is compact and light beats me having a handful of hex drivers, or a bulky kit of apex bits, as well as any other screw drivers and whatnot.
It's not an all in one, but having the bit attachment as well as screwdrivers in one tool is pretty good for carrying a small camera bag or my full size Torvol.
I'm open to a link for whatever tool you're talking about, though. I'd appreciate it.

Having that sd card slot really sold it for me. This little attention to detail is what made me buy this one over the competition. It’ll store a back up card for those just in case emergencies. It’ll live in my camera bag and forget about it until I need it when in a pinch.

I really like how adaptable this is and it’s great that the tools lock into place. I have a Smallrig tool that I like but the tools don’t stay in place when you are using them. Funny coincidence, my last name is McKinnon too.

Great tool and please Don't use plastic in future products for the wrap around stuff, if possible. I love my knifes and unboxing with them. Just make me work through paper/cardboard or use these small plastic stripes "DJI" and other brands have, where you can peel the thin stripe off.

Hey Peter, think a little more outside of the box... I'm a studio synth guy, and this tool would be perfect for rack gear, synth modules, and in general road tours... always need a tool at the worst possible moment. As well as a noob for the YT community, trying to get MY channel together, this would serve me in a dual role!!! Yeah, I'm also a subscriber for both channels... as soon as you made the pirate channel,. I signed up! GREAT stuff... definitely let me know when I may acquire one of these tools... ALL of my rack screws are those "security" hex head torque screws, and my modular is a similar button hex-head... TAKE MY MONEY !!! $$$$$
