I just did both upper control arms, lower ball joints, tie rod ends, and sway bar end links on my 2007, 4.7L, Dakota 4-door, 2WD. Not a bad job at all. I was surprised how easy the whole job was. Using air tools helped as well as factory shop manuals. I bought this truck new in 07 and this is the first time changing out these pieces. 99K miles with very few issues overall. I love this truck and refuse to sell it for another. I can replace the entire drive train for less than a new truck. This has been garage kept too. It's never spent more than a couple nights outside. RockAuto parts too. First time ordering from them. Great supplier and fast shipping.

Nice ! I haven't had many major issues with mine but it's definitely been "put up wet and rode hard" as my dad likes to say (being that he was the original owner). He got it with an excellent warranty. Had the transmission replaced 2 times while under warranty. The last time at 160,000 the shop upgraded the transmission cooler. No problems since, even after several thousand miles of towing my bass boat. 99% of all the work I've done on it is just preventative stuff so it's definitely been solid. Mine burns and leaks a bit of oil, just have to check the oil often ! Once this motor gives out hopefully no time soon, I've got an excellent mechanic thats going to put a 5.9 Cummins in my dakota haha ! Hopefully I can get 300,000 out of my Dakota before then though haha !
