For the extend tool, rather than select an end, I just use the in and out markers as it will indicate to the tool which side to extend! The shortcut not mentioned here that I couldn't live without is the zoom in/out on timeline shortcut. When mapping my 123 keys to play backwards, pause and forwards, extend on tab, zoom in TL on W, out on Q, it keeps the main mostly used shortcuts all on the left hand side of the keyboard so everything can be done using one hand.
@@kcoppa Ah my bad, I do realise that it is limited to trimming with the tool if there's no end selected, once an end is selected then it will roll out the clip to the marker. Would prefer it if it was more like MC where you didn't need to select an end for it to work like this.
I like the color grading done in your talking vid here. It’s like a desaturated look, and has very gentle skin tones. Did u do any skin refinement/ smoothing here,
15:20 Sir you used "Y" to add color graded versions but in keyboard customisation what should I type to customise mine ? , hope you didn't mentioned that, Thanks in advance.
Thank you for the great information. I have one recommendation: Make it more clear next time where each shortcut you're talking about starts and ends. I'd suggest numbering each shortcut if you make a similar video in the future, and even include it in the title - "Top 10 best keyboard shortcuts..etc". Also, for some of them, you didn't say where to find them in the Keyboard Customisation.
Redo this tutorial. Change "in my case" to "the default Resolve short cut is" as you say this show the name as it is in Keyboard Customization UI. Also has anyone else run into a weird thing in resolve that will ask you if you want to change a shortcut and you say yes, but then that new shortcut doesn't work.

Could you elaborate. I just tried it and it seems to only trim the beginning of a clip. How do you get it to extend the end?
@@kcoppa Mark your out on the other end where you want it to extend to.
