These are ABSOLUTELY LIFE changing. I dont know how ive lived without these for so long, especially the audio key frames, saves SO much time. Thank you Mr. Alex!
That Audio keyframes section will save me so much time, was clicking in the inspector everytime up until now. Knew there had to be a way to to do it faster. Thanking you - Legend
These types of tips are so important, Alex. So many teachers of Resolve Studio don't think to mention them. Placing them all in one lesson is brilliant. Thank you.

One of the best tips on Avinci Resolve I've seen. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this sir! :D
Every one of these I was like "well this is the tip that will be the best from this video" and then each other tip was even more helpful. I had no idea you could use in-out to deliver. I can't tell you how many times in a NLE I make a new timeline to drop a section for approval so I could export it. I do this with sponsors a bunch. And I actually screen shot the in out shortcuts since I'll forget them but they're supper helpful.
For %$& years I’ve sworn and cursed because I didn’t know how to just move video to the timeline when using a shortcut without the accompanying audio. Here I am with my mouth open after seeing you simply using #&@#* ALT!!! Mind blown!!! Sir, you are going straight to the top of my Christmas card list! (forgive me for the overuse of exclamation marks but you’ve made my day!!!)
Another way is when a clip is in the preview window and you hover your pointer over the clip, two icons will appear at the bottom. A video icon and an audio icon. By clicking and dragging one of these, you can add just the video or audio to the timeline.
Hi Alex! I was recently faced with the problem of separating sound and video. After two hours of Google research, a solution was in sight: VLC media player. I then spent half an hour looking for how it really works and after another half hour I got the desired result. And now I see your video... I think it's worth putting the computer back together now... Great work, thank you very much! But there's a hell of a lot that I can learn from you... 😃👍👏
Bloody marvelous. So much info in seven minutes I must give this a whirl and bookmark it, as my seventy something year old brain is rather "Dynamic". It's not grandiose, it just means it needs to be refreshed regularly until it goes into static memory. Thanks again Alex.
Thanks dude! Really a time saver. I didn't know about Shift+up or down and Shift+Y. Man, you made my day! It's not about Alt, it all is about Shift! There's always not enough time to dig the options on my own. 😊
Wow I honestly haven't even thought about using audio keyframes until your example right here. I would always split the clips and adjust the levels as needed. This way is so much better. Thank you.
Brilliant tips as always........can I give you a tip. When entering text if you press the Win key and full stop you get a pop up box of smilies to use that is actually part of Windows but also works in Davini
Thanks Alex, I've seen your other ALT video and it helped a lot, was a nice refresher, I keep forgetting some of the commands and have to refer back to your videos, so thank you for doing this. The ALT key is now officially cool!
im editing for two years and didn't know that its possible to select separately viedo or audio track exept using chain button. Thanks a lot for the tip!
The alt+v tip is ACE! Since I discovered that one it’s saved so much time for me! Cheers Alex, another awesome video spreading the good word of Resolve :)
Super helpful! Thanks. Been needing several of these. The Alt Y at the end is awesome to move everything to the right. Might have to replay this. I didn't understand the J and L cut you mentioned near the beginning
Alt + l is a game changer I was wondering for the longest time how to loop playback of a specific section. Thanks as always for making an awesome video.
Could you please, please, PLEASE make a tutorial on how you did that intro? There is not even a pixel flaw in it and it looks like you actually have a twin (do you?). Anyhow, learning the masks, tracking, zooming and compound clip you did (I guess), would be super useful and fun to learn. Thank you Alex! Cheers to your success matey!
Thanks Alex, that was brilliant! I have used some of these in the past but after a longer break from editing I forgot about the most of them. Now they're back and will save me a lot of time. YES!
This was the most helpful Resolve tutorial I've watched in a while. Been using the program for about a year and I didn't know half of these. Thank you 😁
I have seen your opening 2 people effect a number of times on RUclips recently - but yours's was very very good. Please show us how you did it. Also your video was a great use of my spare lunch break minutes - so good. Thank you.
Wow, I learned a few new things today! I didn't know that was possible to select the video or audio part of a clip with ALT without unlinking the clip. Great video full of very useful tips to speed up our workflow 💯
omg... another unbelievably useful video with actual practical everyday use, unlike other videos I've watched on youtube xD thank you so much for another great video, best 7 minutes spent today haha
Learned the Alt shortcut from you and use it already all the time. Thanks for the MotionVFX spring tip. Just purchased the mTitle Cinimatic 2 DVR pack.... love it 😀
Brilliant.Thank you.Can you also PLEASE do a video on how you did the cloning of yourself in this video, especially the bit where you walk behind yourself.I would LOVE to learn how to do that.Thank you ,in anticipation. Soren
When I discovered the ALT+V, ALT+X and the ALT+Y I thought that was it, but I'm impressed there's even more. Thanks for touching on shortcuts and deliver it amazingly!
Sure, I spent ~5 min 30 sec watching this (almost always watch things at 1.25x speed), but it was well worth it because of the time your tips are going to save me going forward. THANK YOU!
This is awesome! I'm going to save so much time editing with these shortcuts, I'm thinking of taking up another hobby. But I'll probably just end up watching all of your videos instead. Cheers dude 😊
Sir, you have saved me. When you showed how to isolate video I was thinking "please tell me he's going to show how to do it for audio". Thank you so much! subbed
Hi Alex, I have a recommendation for you for the next short video. Color connector for nodes in the color page. I have just watched dozens of tutorials, and none of them take the time to explain the blue connector (I also searched google and reddit). I can guess what it does, because lots of tutorials on how to put texts behind a subject just says do an alpha channel using the blue connector. But NONE of the stuff I have seen actually explains the blue connector: they either ignore it or say "oh it's just for fancy stuff dont worry", which is a very poor way to explain something ("oh dont worry about multiplication, you wont make that much money where you would have to multiply numbers, just learn additions"). Sorry for the rant, like your channel, it's to the point and short (some channels for sake of entertainment drag on their explanations). Thanks for the read !
I was literally shouting at my laptop with every new tip coz it's literally a GAME changer. Thank you for this. How did I not know most of these before

I've learned way to much in 5 minutes!!! Thank you mate!
I already knew about the in-out feature, but not how to get rid of it
🤦♂️ALT X🤦♂️
so thanks again Alex!
Alt-V will be very helpful. Save right click - find 'paste attributes'...
These types of tips are so important, Alex. So many teachers of Resolve Studio don't think to mention them. Placing them all in one lesson is brilliant. Thank you.
One of the best tips on Avinci Resolve I've seen. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing this sir! :D
This might be your best ever Alex. Thanks
You're the best! I wasted a lot of time unlinking clips...
Every one of these I was like "well this is the tip that will be the best from this video" and then each other tip was even more helpful. I had no idea you could use in-out to deliver. You made me fall in love with the Alt key! ❤

@@AerialEmber Thanks, but I was using a shortcut and getting both audio and video.

I ACCIDENTLY TURNED ON ins and outs. Had no idea what was going on and didn't know what to look up to remove it. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
I've been watching you for at least four years. and I'm still learning stuff.
Outstanding sir! 😀
Thanks dude! Really a time saver. I didn't know about Shift+up or down and Shift+Y. Man, you made my day! It's not about Alt, it all is about Shift! There's always not enough time to dig the options on my own. 😊

Best Davinci Resolve tip video ever. Don't let the zany intro turn you away, this is pure gold.
These smaller quick tips are the best ones. Knew some of these already but that J/L cut trick is a good un!
the alt/option + up/down arrow was a gem. man i've wasted so many hours trying to not have a clip scooch while going up or down.
Brilliant tips as always........can I give you a tip. When entering text if you press the Win key and full stop you get a pop up box of smilies to use that is actually part of Windows but also works in Davini
Dude! That intro was so slick!
Also, those tips were brilliant and overwhelming, haha. I'll be watching this one again in the future. 👍
Thanks Alex, I've seen your other ALT video and it helped a lot, was a nice refresher, I keep forgetting some of the commands and have to refer back to your videos, so thank you for doing this. The ALT key is now officially cool!

he already made a video about it, the last video(before this video)
this is only available in the studio version
The cross of your clone was masterfully done.
I am sitting here questioning how tf he did that so smoothly
@@wesley_v_vliet Magic Mask.
I reckon i'll just have to do a tutorial 😀
But how he came up with the way he did it also. Just perfect. Overlap 2 videos, magic mask urself, place on top, and boom, magic.
Haha, thought the same 👍
Thanks Alex, that was brilliant! I have used some of these in the past but after a longer break from editing I forgot about the most of them. Now they're back and will save me a lot of time. YES!
Heyyy! Some of you OG folks will know these from an older video but I thought it was worth a refresh for the noobies 🙂

Although the video was a little *shifty* , I enjoyed the _alts_ ! *_Great tips!_*
*Enter* the comments section and there's no *escape* unless you take back *control* and I'm running out of keyboard shortcuts now... 😜😄
