- You know music is truly great when you stop what you’re doing to give it your undivided attention. - September 11, 2022
I put this up because I thought it was kinda sweet. I’m astonished that 2M people have seen it four months.
People have shared some deeply personal stories in the comments below - stories of their children and grandchildren, their parents and grandparents, their love of music, their love of Pavarotti - it’s been very special to be a part of.
Mom and I read all the comments about our little one, and the two of us thank you so much for all the kind remarks.
Life can be pretty amazing, when you let it. - Видеоклипы
Seeing this sweet little angel so captivated gave me hope for the future, the world, and humanity itself.
Feeling the same. In this vulgar world, we come across this! (Maybe homo sapiens doesn't deserve extinction?)
Beautiful wee soul
I never saw a child so enthralled by an operatic voice, I am amazed , so beautiful!
Agree!
oh please, give it a rest
like the world has a bright future because of one child listening to a song. do you live in a ghetto
Our granddaughter was premature (28 weeks) and in the NICU. She was fragile and We could not hold her. So I sang to her, sometimes in English, French or Italian. Her nurse who was monitoring her breathing, said that when I sang, her oxygen saturation numbers increased. The goal was 85% to have the ventilator removed. The doctor ordered a CD player for her, and we played classical vocal music, including Pavarotti. Her lungs healed! Today she is a very healthy 16 year old coloratura soprano, who sings in 5 languages. A miracle child.
Woow . God bless her
What an amazing story. And your granddaughter being a coloratura soprano at the age of 16 is pretty impressive.
Kinder Gramma, your story about your granddaughter made me cry - so beautiful! 🥹
Tears...
This is such an amazing story! ❤
The fact that Pavarotti got a toddlers full attention for THREE MINUTES, is incredibly impressive.
you made a point - 100% d´accord !!
He barely, even blinked! It's like he just couldn't keep his eyes off the screen. This, was beautiful.
Which is why pre and post birth babies should hear classical mudic.
It is. But it makes sense. I get it. We intuitively know beauty. It’s life that beats that out of us
With mom or dad nearby with a camera to boot.
I loved the moment when the baby laid down the pacifier and gave full, undivided attention to the incomparable Pavarotti! Soooo special! 😺💕🐾
@Hello there, how are you doing this blessed day?
Me too🧸🐇🍼🎈🐥
Not sure why this made me cry. This child's entire body was involved in the music. When something is that pure, it crosses cuiture, age... everything.
Because this is one of the small things that keeps the darkness at bay.
Not all tears are evil. ❤
my children were "sung" to sleep with lullabies of Schubert and Schumann. Nothing like the wisdom of a baby.
If one believes in reincarnation, than this sweet child is reincarnation of famous Ophra singer , an old blessed soul in a such young body ! May Buddha bless this child with good health and joyous meaningful life.
And me, eyes welling. Pavarotti is of course emotional but this baby just breathes the music. Very sweet.
The song alone makes me cry so an added innocent cute baby is floods of joy
Drop the toy and curl the toes... totally riding the waves of human emotion. Beautiful.
Honestly I still do that and I am 60
@@doonewatts7155 🤣😂🤣
That was cool. I'm glad it was caught on video. I once heard someone tell a story about visiting the Taj Majal with their 2-year-old. When the baby caught sight of it, he gasped and seemed totally enraptured. It's like beauty is a primal thing.
Gods Angels come in many forms and ways….the beauty, grace and energy connects us.
Loving it😇🥰 awesome 😎
As a retired opera singer, I have to say that baby’s appreciation for the art form is more genuine and better developed than most of the adults I ever performed for.
The child is mesmerized by the music not the”art form”.
Years ago, I read about a study that showed that children who listen to opera and classical music, even while they are in the womb, turn out much smarter than children who listen to rock, rap and country. I grew up listening to rock and country, but my father also liked the Lawrence Welk show. I enjoyed the show myself, when I was a young child. Now I like classical and opera, along with my rock and country. And I try to encourage young mothers-to-be to listen to classical and opera, although I usually get a look like I have a third eye or something. You'd think they would want to do everything possible to ensure they raise an intelligent child.
@@itsnotthesamething I grew up listening to classical music because of my dad…I was a straight A student, lol…maybe you have a point!
At the end the baby looks at mom like “mom this rocks.”
@@Katrn30 This "Baby Pavarotti" may grow up to emulate the late Luciano as an opera divo.
The rapt attention, the slight lifting of the eyebrows, the heaving breath...this baby gets the emotive complexity of opera. ❤🎼🎵
I couldn't have said it better !
Well said!
As the great Picasso said, all children are born artists... music is one of the arts. Give your child the gift of the masters and it will stay with them for life. It is oxygen for the brain and heart.❤
As an Italian I'm feeling very pround... this baby is AMAZING and the reaction so pure.
Grazie Pavarotti... Grazie Puccini ❤
Grazie to the Italian nation, for wondrous music, incomparable art, and food to satisfy the Gods!

Don't ever ask me about my job, capisce?
As much as I love Pavarotti's beautiful voice, my first thought was that it's even more the music of Puccini that touches our souls. This piece is powerful with any quality singer.
When I was young, my mother would play opera in the morning, and she wouldn't turn it off till all us kids were out of bed. We HATED it. But in my early 20's I happened to hear an aria on the radio while driving. I had to pull over & park, I was so overcome with beautiful emotions. I started listening again to opera and love it to this day. Thanks Mom!
Thank you for sharing❤! That is so beautiful!
Never underestimate the power of early influences! We had a console stereo thing in the living room (we kids were not really allowed in that room back then, we had a den to watch TV, etc.). Anyway, mom listened to some "easy listening" station back in the early '60s, which included Sinatra and some pretty obscure stuff (by today's standards), and, well, it affected me years later. "There's a bluebird on my shoulder" (not Sinatra-- and the only line I remember from back then. Don't know the name of the song)). Anyway, I've had a healthy appreciation for classic stuff and some divine singing by the "Rat Pack" and others ever since. Yes: "Thanks Mom!"
My aunt gave me a "Child's Gilbert & Sullivan" when I was a little girl. I mean what kid doesn't like operetta? 😆But then, as an adult, I ended up joining a group that performs G&S , so it stuck.
Beautiful story! Thank you.
My Gran listened to Saturday at the Met every week. I knew Carmen before I knew it!
The little feet dancing with joy, the face filled with wonder, such a beautiful moment. Thank you for allowing us to witness this awakening of a young mind. Also, well done bringing this experience to your child.
It was like he was conducting with his feet. Perhaps in his last life he was a conductor.
@@humblecourageous3919 I think right there he decided that I would become one.
Indeed. I wonder if the Bay was also trying to understand the words.
Were we watching the same video? He was acting like a baby stuck in front of a TV.
My Sophie starts swaying and moving in time with the music and gets really animated.
Niño inteligente! Va a ser un grande
Anyone who plays Nessun Dorma for their kids is alright by me. Thanks for brightening my day and giving your kid a huge jumpstart in life. Adoro questo!
Because of health issues, I am required to have an MRI every 6 months at our gigantic hospital here in Atlanta. Have been doing this for 14 years. And for 14 years, as I have the MRI done, the Radiology Dept. puts their ear phones on me, and I spend the next 15-20 minutes listening to Nessun Dorma. I am in pure bliss, all stress removed, and I am smiling from one ear to the other listening to my favorite Opera.❤️
@@carolcole570am in Atlanta too, what is that music therapy??
@@lxDastanxl LOL, just my own therapy since I detest MRI’s and the noise the machine makes. I even got my son-in-law to put the Nessun Dorma music on my cellphone as its ringer. By the way, my MRIs are done at Emory. Where do you live in Atlanta ? I am at Spaghetti Junction.❤️
When one experiences health issues of some concern, realization of the most important things in life truly are. Music gives joy. And joy is very high on that list! Bon chance, mon ami.
Just look at the intensity and concentration on that little child's face. It's amazing. 🎵🎶💐
Couldn't agree more!
This was very special to watch. Pavarotti touched everyone's life with his singing. I miss him so much.
Could the caption have been, “Baby shows zero reaction before, during or after Nessun Dorma?”
@@peterdelmonte9832 You didn't watch it very carefully.
That young Boy/ Girl could become a Opera fan. There's worst music to listen to.🇮🇹 🧐
Peter. You must have looked at something else not Pavrotti. Nessun Dorma Grande. The Boy/Girl didn't stop looking at Luciano. 🇮🇹 Grande.
@@brucekilby9957 And he started breathing heavily and his feet and hands were tensing up. I would say this baby definitely reacted very strongly to Pavarotti.

Pavarotti looked like a big hairy baby.
The most extraordinary and beautiful voice of the 20th Century in my opinion. It will be a long, long time before we are blessed with another Pavarotti. That little babies feet as he hit the top C said it all for me!
Great music will stop you in your tracks...... No matter how young or old you are!
Give Jussi Björling a listen ...
@@ttnyny Oh, no, no! Björling is a very good singer, but he is no match for Pavarotti. Pavarotti is the most beautiful tenor on the planet, no one in the world has ever had such a tone, nor does anyone today. There are many good tenors, Björling is good - but Pavarotti... That's a higher dimension.

My favorite opera; always makes me cry. But to see that sweet baby paying such attention, then the smile at the end; just precious! 🩷
For an infant to be so engrossed speaks volumes. Their smile near the end and the returning their attention proves their full engagement and joy in the music.

"Out of the mouth of babes". Totally mesmerized and happy no matter the language. The baby knows this is something special. A voice like this happens once a generation.
You are right! Aurora K.
In all my years as a babysitter and later as a parent, it is a rare (very rare) moment when a toddler’s attention is that captivated. No toy, no pacifier, no hand fidgeting; absolute attention.
This is the power a great musical performance can have.

This is beautiful...Made me tear up. We just need love and unity for our children. ❤️
More children this age needs to be exposed to this beautiful music. What a sweet little child. So intently watching and listening to Luciano. I loved it.
so important to introduce our little one to music and book...it opens their mind to better things...
I was exposed to beautiful music at that age. In fact, most folks of my generation were. Evening TV programming featured orchestras and classical luminaries. That's not the case today because "reality shows" are cheaper than paying recognized singers, dancers, and orchestras. It hurts me of when I listen to music like "Theme from a Summer Place" which was popular then--that would be allowed to the place and definitely wouldn't be appreciated.
I totally agree with you, when my 1st grandson was born I told his mother to let him mainly listen to classical piano as a newborn into toddler stage; emphasis on certain notes. She didn’t listen, but when my son got married & started his family he remembered me telling his sister. Some kids don’t listen and others do, and heed what they hear.
Yeps. I remember my nephew asking me 'who sing?' when I had Pavarotti on when he had just learned to talk.
I TAUGHT MY NIECE HOW TO APPRECIATE OLD TIME COURNTY MUSIC. SHE LOVED IT. HER FATHER HATED ME FOR IT.
Watching his rapt attention was so moving, but when he started conducting with his feet, I was overwhelmed with joy❣️
You’ve given her a memory that will last with her for the rest of her life. A beautiful moment.
Her tiny toes reacting to the high notes…so adorable.
This gave me goose-bumps watching the beauty of innocence, emotion, attention, awe and concentration in this little soul.
Children can be extremely perceptive and sensitive to music. My granddaughter (6) is growing up in a happy but not particularly musical home. I was moved and intrigued to see how transfixed she was, a year ago, by Bach’s St. Matthew Passion on the television, for more than half an hour, even singing along, in her own way, with the sopranos. Some people understand the language of beauty and complex emotions from an early age.
It was make me cry! He lefts the toy and he relaxes his arms and is completely attentive, at some point he even raises his chin like following the voice… then you can see he likes it because of the moment with the mouth, like eating, then moving the feet. So moving and cute! Thank you ❤❤❤
There were only a very few artists that made the world a better and brighter place with just there music. Pavarotti was one of them.
Such a beautiful child. Those eyes are gorgeous 😍. So attentive to the music once it came on. Just precious.
It is fascinating to see her captivated by the music and Pavarotti’s voice. She started to fill up with emotion.
This! I kept expecting tears to form....understanding. This was so beautiful to watch!
I was expecting tears too...
At one point, the baby lifts his head slightly (as I have always done when beautiful music touches me - completely automatic) which told me he gets it! Pavarotti’s gift changed the world for so many!!
Focused eyes, fast beating heart, angelic smile, and happy teeny weeny feets are cheeries on top ❤
Completely mesmerized. I love how she was directing with her little feet towards the end.
When my mother was pregnant with me, my father was singing in a local production of Merry England. That was many decades ago I am not young. I would also sing around the piano with my father every opportunity I could. I so enjoy the beautiful voices of the tenors. My children enjoy some of the classics too. I currently sing in my church choir. We need to educate our children just as this little one is, in the finer music.
Nice to have a church choir x
All music is fine. All music is good. Except for the ones that are poorly written. However, it’s quite annoying how younger people today for the most part can’t appreciate classical music or at least respect it for what it is. I’m the second youngest in my family and yet my oldest brother is stupidly ignorant and once referred to an opera I was listening to as “Banshee screaming”. Really sucks.
What a sweetheart! she was enthralled by this!!! Your doing good by getting her acquainted with classics and opera.
I adore the opera but what do you jean by "the finer music?"
@@janeclarkson8471 I think she means classic music in general.
I played this same aria for my then-2 year old son, and not only was he just as captivated as this sweet little one was, he was so deeply moved that tears started rolling down his cheeks, even as he smiled at me. Such is the power of music.
NOTHING has ever, or will ever resonate with humans the way music does. It is a significant part of the fabric of human existence. Imagine, if you can, what we'd be like had that first caveman not banged two rocks together-rhythmically?
Edith Piaf had the same effect upon my son at about the same age

I shared this with my three daughters who are grown. They grew up listening to Andrew Lloyd Weber and my hope is that they continue to explore. The beautiful baby instinctively knew the emotion portrayed and the attention was instantaneous. Amazing in so many ways.
Yes, we played ALL kinds of music for our kids from Raffi to Beethoven, to Peter, Paul and Mary to Andrew Lloyd Webber. When they were pretty young we took them to see Yitzak Perlman in concert. Even though our little girl fell asleep in the second half, she still experienced the best of the best IN PERSON. Living in/near Orlando, we routinely took them to see local music productions of Broadway classics that did not cost much. So if they got restless we could leave without feeling we hadn't gotten our money's worth. We'd play the albums at home prior to the event so they were familiar with the music, and of course, played them afterward to everyone's enjoyment. Finally we would take them to Broadway touring productions -- The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables stand out as performances they and we parents will never forget. Now that little girl has grown into a 38 year old woman who manages rock concert tours, traveling the world -- Sydney Opera House, Hollywood Bowl, China, Indonesia, Europe, Mexico, etc. YOU NEVER KNOW how those early childhood experiences will affect your child in terms of lifelong interests and even a career. NOTHING you ever do for a child is wasted. NOTHING.
Ohhh Andrew Lloyd Webber ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I'm not a baby, but when he hits the high notes, I got shivers.
I hope this wee lad can carry his contentment all his life . What a plus to the world that would be . Thank you for the 3 and a half minutes of sheer joy.
So twenty years later, the baby becomes a famous tenor, and he gets asked, “What inspired you to become an opera singer?” He says, “I saw Luciano Pavarotti sing his famous aria Nessun Dorma from my high chair. That’s when I learned the meaning of wow!”
A girl, actually.
At one point, when the choir was singing, and LP was about to hit crescendo part of this aria, I thought the baby was gonna cry because of how beautiful this music is. Good on you for getting the baby used to a good music early! ❤❤
I cry when I hear that part. I can't listen to opera without becoming emotional.
Firstly, what an absolutely gorgeous baby!! Secondly, I was captivated by the reaction to this beautiful song. Such feel good factor. :)
Браво родителям,это с детства вырабатывает настоящий вкус!!!
The baby was so moved by the music, that he conducted with his own little feet! 😍
Lol, thats what I was seeing too
Yes..he was..🤗💕💯
Yes the reborn Maestro certainly did, and gave the exact finishing instruction to the piece which blew me away...Bravo!👏
Yes, unlike dance music causing you to move your feet to the beat of the music, this operatic performance causes the baby to move his little feet in a natural conducting way.
I could not believe it when I noticed that.
I was captivated as I noticed this child's breathing change with the emotion of the song.
I took my grandson to a mall once during Cinco de Mayo. Theu had a Mariach band with a black violinist/singer belting out El Cascabel. We found a table in front of the stage. He was too, captivated by the emotion of the song. It was magical for me because I am Mecican and my little guy is mixed, blacxican. Music is the world's language we share with much emotion and joy. No boundries at all! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤❤❤😊
I know, right. You can see it in his eyes. It wasn't just the music, it was Pavarotti's vocal changes he was reacting to. I thought he was going to cry with joy. And when he dropped his pacifier, that was it... he became a lifelong Opera lover.
His expressions were priceless, but his breathing showed the truth about what he wa feeling
How interesting, I thought the child was a girl but most comments indicate a boy?
Adorable! You can tell in the baby's eyes that this sweetheart is an old soul.
This precious and beautiful baby is such a blessing to watch. All Good things come from above. Excellent taste in music.
Just take a look at his little feet. Magical!!😊
He/she seemed genuinely uplifted and certainly mesmerized. Before I knew anything about opera I realized that I absolutely had to hear the tenor voice again whenever possible.
Such a beautiful child. And with such excellent taste in music. God bless you.
