“I love her a lot more than one more time."
This is my grampa. His name is Wil. He loved his wife Cathy more than anything. They both developed severe memory issues late in life - for Wil, it was Alzheimer's, dementia for Cathy.
These conditions trend in only one direction. There is no getting better. Over time, my sister and I, my cousins, my parents, my aunt and uncle, were forgotten.
I have often thought about the unfairness that surrounded the end of my grandparents' lives. They didn't deserve what happened. They were two of the kindest, gentlest, most thoughful people you could hope to meet - and everything was taken from them.
Almost everything.
Because you see, they never forgot each other. They wouldn't. They couldn't.

Beautiful to see this child so mesmerized by the singing. Please, though, turn down the volume. The child is way too young to be subjected to music that loud. Even as an adult. the volume was too high for me.

Pavarotti was the greatest opera singer of ours times, he died from Pancreatic cancer, for him and for all the ones who are fighting this disease , please consider donating for a cure, get involved! It is the most deadly form of cancer and we need to find a cure! 💜

My parents had a bunch of classical music LPs when I was growing up in the 70s, and it's what I grew up listening to. I appreciate classical music to this day, along with other music. The classicals have a special place in my psyche.

When my daughter (already a Ramones fan), was four, we were driving, and I had Ottmar Liebart in the cad player. She was uncharacteristically quiet. When the disk ended a quiet voice, (I wasn’t sure she had a quiet voice), asked who was that? I told her who it was and the style of guitar music. And asked her why she wanted to know. She replied it is beautiful. Ten minutes later we were at the store trying to buy her a copy. Much to the surprise of the clerk, who was used to my little skate punk darling looking for punk bands he had never heard of.
My baby son loved him too. I used to sing these songs to him... You have a darling baby.
