My parents went through the same ,though not at the same time . I knew I was truly blessed ,that neither forgot me . Although they passed 7 years apart , they both knew each other ,relied on each other ,and loved each other ,at their ends . I hated the way my Mum and Dad died . And ,reading through the lines ,if I may , you felt the same . Be secure that they lived and loved , they were surely loved or you wouldnt have posted . I wonder who passed that on to you . Gavin ,from Scotland

I watched this twice. You can see how much he loves her. The way he smiled so sweetly once he heard that she would see the video in 10 mins made me smile. It would me so good if he could just walk down the hall to see her.

I dare say I’ve never met anyone who loved anyone the way my grandparents loved each other.
His attendants would take him to see her every afternoon - they’d be together until after dinner when it was time for bed 🥰
They’re together now though, for always. ❤

Why can’t he go visit her?

Thank you for asking - he could, but not with me at that moment. His nurses would take him to see her in the afternoon every day, but he couldn’t go by himself because he was in his own secure wing - they’d get tired shortly after dinner, and it was easier to have them sleep in their own rooms overnight.
There are lots of stories of elderly couples spending their last days in different facilities, but mercifully we never had to experience much of that
