This is more of what marvel needs, serious stories with serious characters I’m honestly happy that they dropped the comedy in a trailer for once.

I believe Goose scratched Fury's eye intentionally to give him a special ability to see Skrulls through their disguise and that's why Fury doesn't wear his patch during Secret Invasion.

I think Nick's eye allows him to see whether or not someone is a Skrull. He only takes it off around people he "trusts" to make sure that it's actually them.

That would defeat the point of the story though. The whole thing is tension being created because we don't know who to trust. If Fury can just know who's who, what's the point?
@@damienhine1861 Maybe that’s the twist. No one knows he can do that so Fury is gonna use it to manipulate the whole situation to his advance 🤔
@@damienhine1861 OR it can also be the reason why the Skrulls are hunting him, since he is the key in defeating/identifying Skrulls from the crowd. That's why Talos needs him on earth. Also there are probably hundreds of Skrulls on the planet, One person with that ability is not gonna be enough, he cannot be in all places at once.

I've always loved Marvel's humour in their content, but every once in a while you need a more serious story to balance things out. Very much looking forward to this one :D
I don’t see how Rhoadie could be a Skrull because of his injuries he would have had many scans, exams and surgeries so being that skrull anatomy is completely different from ours that would have exposed him.
His injuries seem way less prominent in these trailers; I assumed that was a continuity error, but the fact he even has a security detail seems suspicious considering he's supposed to be an avenger. He didn't have one in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The switch could have happened after Endgame since Tony would obviously know if Rhodey was a skrull.

The explosion shot mear the beginning of the trailer was shot in Halifax in England at the Piece Hall. I was near by at the time for work but couldn't spot much, marvel had a lot of the area locked down.

I didn't know that Skrulls couldn't recognize other Skrulls. Also, shapeshifters are having a TV moment with Picard also doing the alien paranoia thing.

Wouldn’t they want to irradiate the earth? Make it uninhabitable for humans and therefore solely belonging to them. That could be what they’re building in those places. Hypothetically nuclear war wouldn’t be so bad for them as they’d still be able to survive. Might be less drastic though

Rhode could have been replaced when he was getting used to his enhanced legs from civil war and that’s how he recovered so quickly from an injury that should have made him spend years to a decade not a year and a ton of missions
The winter soldier was by far my favorite one too
The mystery machine could definitely be some kind of trap that Fury gets caught within potentially for a 1v1 close knit fight
This is definitely going to be the most serious MCU show will ever see and I can't wait for what's to come.
Captain America: Winter Soldier is THE best movie in the MCU, period.
I just hope this series is not only 6 episodes long.

The MCU seems to be doing a lot of commentary on cross genetics between humans and alien species. It is my belief that the super soldier serum may have been a derivative or synthetic version of Kree blood. Something I think Cap now shares with Coulson and Fury after their deaths via the first avengers and The Winter Soldier. I believe Fury has been aboard the skrull spaceship since Civil War and actually died and like coulson was reconstructed utilizing kree blood. This seems to be insinuated by the beach scene aboard the spaceship. for those who watched agents of shield, you'll remember the beach was a coping mechanism for the subjects' death. they were made to believe they were on vacation rather than dying.
Those tick tick tick sounds are the clicks of bullets being put into a clip one by one also mimicking the hammer strikes of Ironman

A lot of this was filmed in West Yorkshire, England - You might have seen in Full Monty, East is East, The ABC Murders version with John Malkovich.
This plot with the Skrulls reminds me of the Zygon two-parter from Doctor Who Series 9.
Shapeshifting aliens living on earth, most of which are peaceful, until a subset of them decide they want to take over.
