    Little detail I liked was that Hill did that popular opening chess move you mention that opens the queen and bishop for immediately moving out onto the field. Couple that with the fact that, just 3 moves later, assuming your opponent doesn't block your next 3 moves, you can get the opponent in checkmate. Hill mentions old Nick Fury was always 3 moves ahead and there's 3 distractions (the 3 people that make their repeat appearance before Gravick shows himself) for Fury before Hill gets "checkmated". Nick didn't see 3 moves ahead in this "chess game" and it cost the life of one of his closest friends

    While some dont condone the use of AI in the intro, I can't deny that it kind of goes hard. The eerie and uncanny feeling of what's suppose to be people and buildings crudely brought up, constantly shifting and changing (like a skrull) just works so well for an espionage type series. I think a human can easily replicate what the intro has done, but I do have to say it's very unique, even though the intro is very controversial.

  • @kittycheshire5099
    @kittycheshire5099 11 месяцев назад +114

    Something I noticed was it seems like maybe Fury and Gravik have a personal history. Talos said that he felt especially betrayed by Fury's abandonment, and Falsworth says he feels responsible after saying that he knew him, not to mention Gravik practically mocking Fury with the way he was in the Unity Day scenes. Gravik looks like he's about Gi'ah age, so maybe he saw Fury as father figure or something, IDK. I'm probably reading too much into it, it's just something I was thinking about.

    I don't think Hill OR Fury are really themselves at the end of this episode. One: I think Fury IS three steps ahead. NOT behind as we're being led to believe. Two, they didn't seem overly concerned for their own safety when the bombs went off, despite the fact they're dirty bombs: i.e., highly radioactive (like, nobody could safely go there for decades now). I'm betting there is some explanation as to why Maria didn't go back to Skrull form after dying.

    Honestly, I really loved the first episode, what an opening. As soon as trailer footage was revealed, I suspected Ross was a Skrull and I believe that Rhodey, without a doubt, has to be a Skrull as well and I reckon he's gonna kill the president, once he's been exposed. I only say that, simply because he wasn't hesitating to mark Hill and Fury as "AWOL", despite the many times he's worked with both of them and when he knows that they are good people. Just seemed a little suspicious to me. But I can't believe they did Hill dirty like they did at the end. Regarding Gravik though, I think he's gonna turn out to be Super Skrull, because there was footage of him stretching his arm out and it looked very similar to Groot's arms. I had speculated that Emilia Clarke's Gi'ah could be Queen Veranke, but after watching the first episode, I think that is unlikely, however, Sonya might be Veranke instead.
