    Thank you, once again, for a seemingly simple explanation of what seems like wizardry to me. As my son has progressed from the red plate class up an age group, there is so much more I have to do to keep him even close to competitive. I feel like an idiot having to constantly ask others for help. It is invaluable to be able to sit down and watch a video then go out to the garage and look at things in a different light. We appreciate what you do.

      Nka bigger cam, no head work

      Google your comment and you’ll find some good forum posts explaining the differences in detail

      From my understanding. Donald is correct. Akra- head work(ports and milling). NKA- bigger cam

    Also don’t forget the .015-.030 gap they want inbetween the clutch and crankshaft there can be a boggle of shimming and calculating tolerances

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  7 месяцев назад

      Yes. I probably should have mentioned that. Clutch fits just about perfect so I over looked that point.

    How do you align the chain? Do you have any specific process? I don’t have any “fancy” laser tools so I’ve been told to spin the axel backwards while the motor is still loose so it mount can render itself centered with the rear gear. Does that make sense to you or do you have another suggestion? Thanks for all your advice Ben!!

      A laser tool is 35.00 on eBay. Worth the investment

      I agree on the lazer tool. But I will do a video on an alternative style.

    Buddy you need pan head chain guard bolts to eliminate the chain issue and you need a Slider mount for the motor

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 месяцев назад

      End play. I just don’t like too much keyway play.

    Ben have you used a Lazer to align chain? I just use a cheap Lazer pen

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 месяцев назад +1

      I have one. I’ve replaced batts but I think the lazer is kaput.

    We run a spacer between the motor and clutch chain goes on a lot better. And it was dirty under that chain grad

    I was reading a tech article on the buller website when rebuilding my clutch and it said the whole clutch should have 15-30 thousand of end play when installed as in it should float on the shaft how do you feel about that

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 месяцев назад +1

      It keeps anything from binding up and helps the chain stay free’er.

    • @va.cracker9318
      @va.cracker9318 8 месяцев назад +2

      Yes I have done it for 15 years and never hurt my key way

      Any lube is better than non. But things like Tri flow are way better chain lubes yes.

    Was it hard to go from UAS to a clone? I run 14.5, SBO, and RWYB. Several of the clone racers are always trying to get me to put a clone on one of my karts to run with them but I think it would feel like I was just under caution the entire race 😆

    • @kart6t3_ben
      @kart6t3_ben  8 месяцев назад +1

      I honestly don’t mind it. Yes I’m going slower but u can feel the kart more without that insane entree and drive off. I feel it’s just a frame of mind, racing is racing is racing. I enjoy amusement park carts too.
