Can I just say how much you brighten my day! I'm going through a hard time physically and can not do hair for a while. I fractured my femur due to a weakened bones from cancer in the same spot 11 years ago. They also told me my cancer could be back. I have a husband in med school a 7 month old baby girl, and a 4 year old little boy. Between that, the scary news of cancer, and not being able to do anything cause I can't put weight on my leg, not being able to do hair is killing me! I hope I can recover from all of this soon. It's going to be a while! Hair is one of my biggest passions and talents! I hate that it's taken away from me. But watching you brings me such joy! It makes me so excited to get back in the game and be better then ever!! It gives me hope! I didn't want to be a sob story but more want you to know the joy you have brought me through hard times! Thank you!

I totally understand where your coming from.
My passion is hair and its been taken away from me because of health reasons and a bad back and right shoulder and since my health went down hill i get chronic pain in most of my joints and muscles etc.I would do anything to have my health back and be able to do hair full time and have my own salon etc.god bless you and I will prey for you that you fully regain your health so you can enjoy your family and career like you should be able to!its not right when ya kids havent even grown up to be ill,lifes so cruel!it sucks when your young with kids etc and facing such bad times.i feel you,i had a melanoma cut out of my back not long ago,my wbc have always been low normal range but now are below normal :(
life has gone from loving it and doing my hair course to become a hair dresser to catching ebv off one of the girls i met at hair school :/ when I was doin my finals to gettin so ill I have taken a year off :-/ (never share drinks or anything it not worth it) and maybe having lymes,i have some undiagnosed infection i caught 5 yrs ago and now its destroying me :( and now my health is so bad its just horrible but I'm taking loads of natural things to help and they are what is getting me through or I'd prob be in hossy or even worse :(
But on a good note I enjoy videos like these too so so much and it gives me some joy and I hope to god I can do it full time one day and be just as good as guy :) I'm so greatful to guy and April 101 and mandie etc etc for all these awesome videos,I enjoy them so much :)
P.s.are u taking any natural supps to help you?
There's so many natural cures to all sorts of things which I'm sure you already know and have done your research but (olive leaf extract,oragano oil,wormwood,colloidal nano silver,vit b17,apple cider vinegar,bicarb capsules etc there so much more too and message me if u want any advice on them cos I have spent so much time researching and trying things out.all those I mentioned are antibacterial,antifungal and antiviral and most of all can kill cancer cells.also there mms 1 and mms 2 which isn't like a herb or vitamin but its soooo good it has cured so many diff diseases including cancer many many testimonials on you tube,you should take a look.
its def worth a try and who knows you might stop it in uts tracks and rid yourself of the underlying problem which is causing the cancer.this is just my advice,I'm so expert but I like to help ppl.

Ms. Dickey I was looking at this video and happen to see your message and sadden by your news. I am also a fellow cosmetologist and doctors have told me ill fate news that of my life a total of 3 times even to the point that I was not going to make it and if do the very low % chance on talking, walking and doing physical therapy for a long time a high % & even than they could not tell my family, what quality of life I will have. I am happy say through faith, prayer and God I made it through some difficult health battles and I still remember my Grandmother putting the doctor out of my room and just start praying from that moment on the next day my health was batter and no sign of a stroke like the doctor said they will all in amazement but God had performed a miracle. I believe prayer a change things by God and through God he can perform miracles we see & witness them every day. I will be prayering for your miracle for no cancer to return for you and praying for your family as well. I am truly sorry for, what your going through but prayers changes things I do know that because of my illness I have a type of Sickle Cell Anemia type SC is the form that I had which is also the mild form of Sickle Cell. Sickle Cell is when some of your blood cells are missed shaped from the regular round shape to like 🌙 (it the best way to put it), but because it shaped like differently it can cause a lot of pain because the blood can't flow down or through the veins like if it was round, it can cause blood clots, stokes, liver problems, kidney problems, blood transfusions (but through the grace of God I have not need them yet),

Guy, you made such a good point when you were talking about results versus methods. "You wouldn't go to a surgeon and tell him 'don't use that scalpel!'" This has nothing to do with hair but it rings so true for me. I'm a dental hygienist and sometimes patients tell me not to use a certain instrument that I prefer to clean with. I know it gives great results and it drives me mental that they're basically telling me how to do my job. Sorry, I know that was off topic. End rant.

this is beautiful!! it looks so blended!! I recently asked for balayage and on the top of my head you can see strokes of where it was painted on. I do have darker hair than her tho so that may have made it more difficult. I am somewhat disappointed with the streaks of blonde not looking faded/natural on me. You did such a great job on her tho, i need someone like you to work your magic on me!!

shes not a celebrity he on the other hand is very popular, and yes people who can pay a certain price can have their hair done by him the same way as you see famous tattoo artist on TV only tattoo certain people because they pay for it so if you can cough up the money as unfair as it may seem to some then yes you can get your hair done by him now as far as will you show up on a RUclips video I'm not sure what agreements he has with the people he does hair with I'm sure he ask them if they want to be on RUclips I'm sure he ask them if they want to be filmed and you take it from there but you don't have to be anybody special to do what you want in this world you just gotta play the game and the game in this case is money

Alexa Valr most good hairstylists cost a good amount of money I love mine but I can only afford to see her one to two times a year which is why I love balayage because it is super low maintenance especially on my particular hair type/color. The first time I saw her she did a color correction for me and saved the day (since a week later I was supposed to be a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding-crazy not relevant story) but it cost me around the $300 mark and 4-5 hours at the salon for just color no cut.
But also sometimes there are great stylists who don't charge that much at all like the girl who cuts my hair she charged $40 to bring me to a shoulder length bob from 17in (most salons charge extra to cut/color/style long hair).
I've also dealt with the opposite horrible stylist (supposedly the salon's level/tier 2-second most expensive/experienced hairstylists) who didn't listen to anything I said or what I wanted at a high-end salon (I live near NYC) and instead of fixing what she did wrong decided to dye my eyebrows to match (at no cost) and the salon still charged me full price. Needless to say I never went to that salon again.
Really it's like getting a tattoo. You have to know your budget (sometimes you have to wait and save up) and shop around to get what you want and sometimes it just takes a while to find the right stylist for you. What helps now a days is a lot of stylists use social media now to share there work so you can check them out on there first. Also try a consultation before having them touch your hair. They can check out your hair and you can get a feel for them.

Could you maybe do a video doing a ombré or sombre on dark brown virgin hair without using bleach so that it's different shades of lighter brown natural colors? I really want to do this to my hair but without using bleach because my hair gets so damaged doing it that way.

I'd guess it is to blend the blond better into the rest of her hair ? I don't really know though.

Ive been a victim and have seen many others to botched colors with curls.
Im versatile and wear my hair both curly and straight but my color usually only looks good one way. Ive had to stick to boring flat colors most often dark brown and black. Freaking BLAH man.

eh i dont know. not that i think he's unable but i dont think he will just because curly hair is a hassle and isnt everyones expertise. it dosnt always clump together in the same ringlets, hard to make color intricate and blend when that happens

Awsome! I'm 69 years old and my hair is 2 ft. long . My hair color is light beige blonde but needs some depth. The back of my hair is golden blond and I'd like to bring some of that color to the top and sides so I don't look washed out. Watching your technique inspired me.

OMG that is absolutely gorgeous!! Quick question Guy Tang I noticed you had two separate bowls of lightener. In the first you used 40 vol and olaplex but what was in the second bowl? Was it a lower developer with olaplex for any areas you saw that were previously lightened like on the mid lengths and ends?
